The two lived on this green planet for a month. At the end of the month, the villagers suddenly fell into chaos. Bai Ze returned with them, chattering away, looking rather grim.
Bai Ze returned and said directly, "Let's go."
Su Chen nodded, "Okay."
She didn't ask anything, and Bai Ze didn't say anything either.
The two piloted their spaceship into space again. This time, Bai Ze no longer easily stopped the spaceship on a planet. If they did stop on a planet, they would rest for a day, fully charge the spaceship, and then continue flying back into space.
Su Chen thought that Bai Ze seemed to know something, which might be a matter of life and death for the two of them. Sometimes she would see him alone in the room staring at the screen in a daze. When she came, he would close the screen like a thief.
Although Su Chen was curious, she knew that Bai Ze had his reasons for not telling her, so she pretended not to know anything and did not expose him.
If Ningwu returned to the space and saw her like this, she would be absolutely shocked. Didn't she know her host? She'd always been driven by curiosity, always wanting to get to the bottom of things, even if someone kept secrets from her. How come she's become so composed now?
Unfortunately, no one complained when Ningwu didn't return, and the little dumpling was only just awakened and had the intelligence of a three-year-old, so it was impossible for her to figure anything out.
The two continued to wander in space until a medium-sized spaceship pointed its cannons at them and opened fire without warning.
Watching Bai Ze maneuver the spaceship to dodge rapidly, Su Chen, in this critical moment, surprisingly thought, "Hey? This scene looks so much like an old Star Wars game!" Unfortunately, she'd get a game over as soon as she tried. Su Chen's mind raced, but she never considered the possibility that they would both die from the bombs. For some reason, she firmly believed, believed that Bai Ze would definitely carry her to safety!
As she expected, Bai Ze single-handedly managed to save the two of them from death.
But... their current location...
"Oh no! That spaceship was forcing us out of the Water Sky System!" Su Chen immediately realized.
Bai Ze frowned unconsciously as he opened the display interface.
One glance was enough to tell that even if they gave the spaceship a few more wings, it wouldn't be able to escape now.
Su Chen also saw it; a large warship, like a giant beast, blocked their only entrance back to the Water Heaven System.
Before long, a line of red text suddenly appeared on the large display screen on the control panel of the small spaceship where Su Chen and Bai Ze were located.
Su Chen couldn't understand or guess the meaning behind this, and just as she was about to ask Bai Ze, Bai Ze blindfolded her.
Su Chen was startled. "What's wrong?"
"Don't open your eyes for a while, you'll be safe," Bai Ze whispered in her ear.
Su Chen couldn't see and became extremely anxious. She grabbed at herself frantically and hurriedly asked, "What about you?"
"You won't die, trust me, okay?" Bai Ze quickly kissed her cheek, his tone gentle, but his hands tightly bound the blindfold over Su Chen's eyes.
Su Chen felt that Bai Ze had put something on her again. She heard the notification sound of the hatch opening, and then Bai Ze pushed her from behind and sent her flying. She screamed in fright. Luckily, sound cannot travel in space, otherwise a lot of people would have had their eardrums ruptured by her scream.
During this time, Su Chen obediently did not remove the cloth covering her eyes.
About five minutes later, she felt a strong suction force pulling her towards it, and soon her feet were firmly planted on solid ground.
She heard a familiar female voice calling her name: "Su Chen".
Before Su Chen could respond, she felt a wave of heat rushing towards them from behind.
She turned her head and pulled back the cloth in front of her. All she could see was the small spaceship she had been in, engulfed in flames, with fire and debris scattering everywhere, like a fiery nebula after two planets collided—beautiful yet...heartbreaking.
