Xing An sought out Su Chen the night before she and Wu Yue were to go to that planet.
The two sat facing each other in silence for a long time.
"You still believe him?" Su Chen glanced at the silent female protagonist opposite her.
Xing An shook her head. "I don't know, so I need to try one last time."
"Is this a test?" Su Chen asked again.
Xing An nodded, her forced smile tinged with bitterness.
Su Chen sighed upon seeing her expression. "What if he really is connected to everything that happened before?"
“Then… I will personally kill my enemy.” Xing An clenched his fist, his fingertips stinging his palm as if reminding himself of something.
Su Chen frowned. "No, let's report it to your organization." What if she messed things up and the male and female leads died before they even got married? Who would she ask for points from then on?
Xing An looked at Su Chen with a puzzled expression, as if she didn't understand her unusual attitude.
“Alright, do as I say. This matter involves many people, and you haven’t gathered enough information. What happened back then couldn’t have been planned by just one person.” For now, Su Chen could only make up a lie with great conviction.
Xing An was taken aback after hearing this and asked, "May I ask, how do you know these things?"
Su Chen's heart skipped a beat, fearing that the female lead would suspect her of being an enemy spy and tie her up again to be sent for research. The thought made her legs tremble. Taking advantage of Xing An's inattention, Su Chen quickly sat down, covered her legs with her coat, and regained her previous composure.
Su Chen didn't look at her, and said sadly, "Do you know how our Clover Star was destroyed?"
"No..." Is it true that the rumor is that you, little princess, were born with bad luck and attracted an asteroid to collide with Clover Star, causing that once vibrant planet to perish?
However, Xing An felt it wasn't appropriate to say these things in front of the person in question, and besides, she believed in science, so those mysterious rumors were really unbelievable.
"You think it was an asteroid impact?" Su Chen sneered.
"Could it be because of...?" Xing An thought of a possibility and couldn't help but gasp.
Su Chen didn't answer or look at her again. Like a wandering soul, she floated to the bed and lay down lightly.
Xing'an felt that it was her bringing up the past that upset Su Chen, and immediately felt only guilt. The doubts she had been harboring had long since dissipated.
As she heard the footsteps disappear from her ears, Su Chen knew she had succeeded.
I didn't look at Xing'an for a while because I was afraid she would see something from my expression. In the end, I could only lead Xing'an to think that the natural disaster on Clover Star was caused by human error. The conclusion that came about in this way was much more credible than what I said myself.
Su Chen sighed, looking at the endless darkness outside. She couldn't help but curl up in a corner, her fingers trembling as she turned on another light.
With her head covered by a large blanket, her trembling body calmed down considerably. Su Chen murmured softly, "Little dumpling, do you think the villainous big boss is really dead?"
The pink dumpling sensed Su Chen's fear and had no choice but to leave the space and rub against Su Chen. Su Chen hugged the pink dumpling's soft and cuddly little body tightly.
As a result, she hugged her too tightly, and the little dumpling struggled for a long time before finally catching her breath and saying, "Maybe..."
After a long pause, Su Chen asked again, "Can you?"
The little pink dumpling whispered, "Host, don't worry. You'll meet again eventually, won't you?"
"Yes...maybe..." Su Chen's voice trailed off.
The little pink dumpling was a bit worried. Her big eyes darted around, and she cleverly said, "But the villainous boss in every world is very powerful. He shouldn't die so easily in this world, right?"
