Chapter 495 Death's Edge (Previous Life Ending, Su Chen Regains Her Emotions)

Jin Yu frowned. "Is there any other way?"

The strategist bowed and said, "That's all."

Jin Yu remained silent for a long while before saying calmly, "Alright."

Su Chen watched from the side, not knowing what she was feeling.

Afterwards, Su Chen saw her past self being led out of the fairyland by Jin Yu, her whole body radiating joy. It was a vibrant version of herself she had never seen before; it was... her past life.

Su Chen watched as her past life gradually fell into Jin Yu's trap, and even saw the love in her eyes for Jin Yu in her past life.

"Red-feathered pheasant~ You finally asked me to come out and play!" Su Chen from her previous life said with great joy.

Jin Yu was momentarily dazed, and it took him a long time to find his voice before asking, "Where is Bai Chan?"

"Didn't you call me out? Why are you asking about Bai Chan?" Su Chen from her past life asked, puzzled.

Jin Yu lowered her eyes to block the light. "Aren't you two inseparable?"

"Well, she insisted on riding my ferocious beast, but it wouldn't listen to her and kept kicking. The two of them are behind us; they'll probably be fighting for a while before they catch up." Su Chen blushed. "I thought you called me because you had something to say."

"What is it?" Jin Yu asked, puzzled.

"It's nothing, it's nothing." Su Chen shook her head, pressing the backs of her hands against her rosy cheeks.

"Look, they're here." Su Chen twitched her ears and pointed excitedly at the man and the beast.

Jin Yu narrowed her eyes and secretly lit a fire behind her back with one hand.

"I wonder what's wrong with the Immortal Realm lately? They're not letting anyone out. Are you unable to get in either?" Su Chen asked, somewhat puzzled, as she watched Jin Yu not take a single step.

Jin Yu shook her head.

"You don't know either?" Su Chen sighed and waved to Bai Chan and the ferocious beast Ning Wuzhao.

“Bai Chan, Ning Wu usually won’t even let me ride him, yet you still want to try.” Su Chen went up to calm Ning Wu down first.

Bai Chan scratched the back of her head and said with a smile, "It's strange, aren't celestial beasts usually very close to me, the flower fairy? Could it be that this one prefers wood?"

Jin Yu seized the opportunity and sent a black feather into the barrier.

As it burrowed in, it briefly left a hole in the barrier, which allowed the fire in Jin Yu's hand to pass through and directly scorch the tail fur of the ferocious beast, Ning Wu.

The ferocious beast, Ningwu, let out a painful howl.

The ferocious beast itself was extremely loud, and this sound only made Su Chen and Bai Chan deaf.

If it were just the ferocious beast, the Roar of the Ferocious Beast, that would be one thing, but it also suddenly leaped up.

Her leap was a dangerous maneuver; she nearly trampled Bai Chan and Ning Wu to death. The two—no, the two immortals—had no choice but to desperately use their magic to fly forward to avoid their demise.

However, the barrier of the celestial realm is designed to be easy to defend and difficult to attack, and people of the celestial realm can break through the barrier using celestial magic.

The two immortals and the beast rushed out.

Jin Yu's expression darkened slightly.

The demon, which had been lurking in the shadows for a long time, suddenly sprang out and surrounded the two immortals and the beast.

"Jinyu! It's a demon! Run!" Su Chen shouted to Jinyu, who was carrying them on her back.

Jin Yu's lips trembled, she didn't say anything, and ran away as instructed.

The transparent dust followed Jin Yu to a deserted forest and watched as Jin Yu slapped herself.

Looking at him, he said to himself, "You are a coward."

Upon seeing this, Su Chen felt a bitter taste in her mouth, as if she had drunk a bitter herb soup.

The next scene shows Jin Yu negotiating with the god, using Bai Chan's life as leverage.

But Bai Chan's weight is clearly not heavy enough.

Bai Chan is restraining which of the Bai family's ancestors became a god, but there are more than just one god.

The gods, however, used Bai Bai as leverage in this matter.

Watching from the sidelines, Su Chen felt truly sorry for the Bai family's descendants. One by one, they were being used as pawns on the battlefield.

Throughout the entire process, Su Chen did not see her past self. Perhaps... she was locked up by Jin Yu.

Jin Yu might not dare let her past self realize that he had used her.

However, no matter how well you try to hide it, lies will always be exposed eventually.

In the dark temple, a few candles flickered with an eerie green light.

Jin Yu waved away the demons and walked up to Su Chen.

"I heard... you want to see me." Jin Yu's voice seemed very calm.

"Jin Yu, you... are the Demon Lord?" Su Chen from her past life was somewhat stunned.

Jin Yu didn't say anything.

"Yes, I should have guessed it. I should have guessed it when you didn't enter the barrier..." Su Chen recalled the past life expressionlessly. "Yes, now that I think about it, I was a complete fool."

Su Chen from her past life closed her eyes for a long time before slowly saying, "Jin Yu, do you... still have a heart?"

"Even if I mean nothing to you, Bai Chan is still your brother's niece. Do you really want to take her life?"

After a long silence, Jin Yu retorted, "I won't."

"What if the Immortal Realm were to take action against Bai Bai?" Su Chen from her previous life asked him, her eyes red.

“They don’t dare.” Jin Yu spat out these four words through gritted teeth.

Su Chen from her previous life scoffed, "Heh, is the Demon Lord so certain?"

Jin Yu raised her eyes, her expression unreadable. "You don't believe me?"

"How can I trust you?" Su Chen from her past life was probably laughing at her own foolishness.

"You can see for yourself then," Jin Yu said before turning and leaving.

Su Chen saw her past self, who had been sneering just a moment ago, now shedding two lines of tears.

...

The scene shifts, and the negotiations between the immortals and demons break down, leading to another great battle.

Su Chen didn't know what had happened in between, but she saw that her past self was on the side of the Immortal Realm.

Jin Yu's demonic energy seemed much stronger than before, and his whole body exuded a murderous aura. His fierce aura was so intense that even ordinary demons could not get close to him.

It seems that some time has passed, and Jin Yu's magical power has become extraordinary, even approaching the level of a Heavenly Demon.

The two realms clashed, with immortal techniques and demonic arts colliding. The sounds, both loud and soft, gathered together on the battlefield, like a bucket of water being poured into a pot of boiling oil.

The battle between gods and demons was particularly fierce, a battle between the ultimate realms of the immortals and the ultimate realms of the demons. The light was so dazzling that all realms were temporarily blinded, and the next second they could be shrouded in darkness.

It's unclear what kind of magical artifact the divine realm used, but this time it actually seemed to subtly suppress Jin Yu's power.

Jin Yu had not yet mastered the Heavenly Demon Body; he was not immortal. He could dodge fatal attacks but not other magical artifacts.

The two fought for ten days and ten nights.

In the end, the immortal gods prevailed, forcing Jin Yu to the infamous Endless Abyss.

The Endless Abyss is named for the countless beings from the six realms that have fallen into it. Without exception, whether they are powerful beings who have cultivated immortality, spirits who have not yet taken human form, or even ghosts without physical bodies, once they fall into it, they never come out again.

Legend has it that this is a death trap; whether god or demon, anyone who falls into this place will be doomed and never be reborn.

If Jin Yu is like this, then it is naturally what the Immortal Realm wants to see.
