Ningwu and Fentuanzi were still lying on the pure white, soft bed, both of them sleeping comfortably like babies in the womb, with sweet smiles on their lips, as if they were dreaming of something happy.
Su Chen looked at their sleeping postures and couldn't help but smile.
She felt this scene was so heartwarming...
Jin Yu in the corner (thinking): Why does she smile at other people like that? Why does she smile at other people like that? Why does she smile at other people like that… endless resentment.
However, Su Chen didn't pay any attention to Jin Yu's side, assuming he was asleep in the corner.
Su Chen: "I wonder when they'll wake up... Are they missing something? Or are they injured? Should we throw them both into the spirit pool?"
Jin Yu's lips curled up slightly in the corner.
Su Chen thought for a long time and then felt that the fog from before might have some kind of origin.
If he didn't have some connection with Ningwu, or with the entire system, how could he have entered this space so easily?
"Forget it, you two should just get some sleep." Su Chen gave up on the idea of throwing Ning Wu and Fen Tuanzi into the spiritual spring.
Hearing the rice cooker's beeping sound, Su Chen hummed a little tune as she happily ladled out the rice, then sat down at the table to eat her scrambled eggs with tomatoes. She ate with great relish.
Jin Yu: ...
Jin Yu's inner monologue: What about my share? What about my share? What about mine...?
Su Chen finished all the food before taking the empty plates and bowls to the sink to soak in water, and then... she just left it at that (lol).
People often feel sleepy after eating. When blood sugar rises or the brain is lacking oxygen, they feel sleepy, but they can't fall asleep immediately, otherwise they may develop fatty liver.
Of course, health preservation is not currently within Su Chen's thinking. Although in the past, after staying up late, she would sometimes think about whether she should try to take care of her health, seeing her increasingly sallow complexion, the hair falling out when washing her hair, and her receding hairline.
Of course, in the end, I was defeated by my own procrastination.
Su Chen yawned, feeling pretty good. No life-threatening situations, no missions, no heavy work or studies—complete relaxation and a casual afternoon nap were just wonderful!
Su Chen didn't try to pry her eyelids off, and naturally lay down on the big white bed that Ning Wu and the pink dumpling had been lying on (don't ask her why she was lying there, because there was only one bed in the whole space).
A moment later, the sound of even breathing came from the white bed.
Jin Yu slowly stood up from the corner, stretched out her bony hand, and brushed aside the long hair that was covering her face.
His eyes held an unreadable expression, yet the trace of his earlier silliness remained unseen.
He gently walked to Su Chen's side, furrowed his handsome eyebrows, and pushed Ning Wu aside. Ning Wu was immediately pushed to the edge of the bed and teetered on the verge of falling.
Jin Yu saw that Su Chen's expression had softened a bit, so he reached out and gently picked her up and placed her in the center of the bed. He then lay down beside her, gently smoothing the hair on Su Chen's forehead to reveal her fair and delicate face.
Jin Yu smiled, and carefully extended her index finger, tapping Su Chen's nose tip with the pad of her finger.
Su Chen closed her eyes and began to speak: "You..."
Jin Yu was startled, withdrew her finger, her heart pounded a few times, and she closed her eyes and held her breath.
After an incense stick had burned, he opened his eyes again and realized that Su Chen had been talking in his sleep.
Jin Yu said softly, "What are your feelings for me? Do you feel indebted to me? Or do you feel in love with me...?"
