A woman dressed in a pure black uniform sat behind a desk, expressionless as she looked at Su Chen, who had fallen to the ground, and asked indifferently, "Su Chen?"
Su Chen awkwardly patted off imaginary dust from her body and replied, "Yes."
Are you the main system?
The woman said, "I guess so."
Su Chen quickly said, "What do you want? Make it quick, I need to get back early. It could get dangerous if I stay too long."
The woman pushed up her black-rimmed glasses and said, "Don't worry, he's fine."
Su Chen was taken aback. "Do you know who I'm talking about?"
"I know, isn't he that Demon Lord named Jin Yu?" The woman's tone was as if she were talking about a cabbage that could be found anywhere in a market.
Su Chen felt something was strange, but for some reason, she didn't doubt a word the woman in front of her said.
She felt a little relieved, pulled up a chair next to her, and asked, "Was it you who saved Ningwu back then?"
The woman kept stamping a stack of documents on the table with her seal. When she heard Su Chen's question, she pushed up her glasses, nodded, and said, "Well, I guess you could say it's me."
"What? Isn't the main system a single person?" Su Chen was a little confused.
This is it, and that's not it. How can it be counted?
"You see, there are so many people queuing outside. How can I have the energy to do so many things by myself? I can only divide up the workload by having countless clones." The woman was still stamping the stamps.
Su Chen curiously leaned closer to take a look, only to find that the document was basically about the life and deeds of so-and-so.
She leaned closer to examine what the stamp actually said, but the woman with black-rimmed glasses raised her hand slightly, and the stool suddenly pulled her away.
Su Chen calmly stood up and asked, "What exactly is your identity? You're not just the main system, are you?"
The main system pushed up its black-rimmed glasses and looked up at her. "Have you ever heard... that people who know too much don't live long?"
"Oh my god, I'm so scared." Although Su Chen said this, there was no fear on her face. "I didn't know that I wouldn't live much longer?"
The main system pursed its lips, took off its glasses, and raised a wicked eyebrow, revealing a particularly attractive beauty mark under its left eye.
Su Chen exclaimed in his mind: The girl with glasses is indeed not to be underestimated!
"Have you ever thought that it was no accident that you were bound to the system in the first place?" The main system conjured up a wine glass from nowhere, and as it swirled, wine inexplicably spilled out.
The main system lowered its head and smelled the red wine, its curly hair falling down to cover half of its face.
It felt less like an office and more like a celebrity's banquet.
Su Chen: "It was definitely not a coincidence. Ning Wu said that she chose me because she was interested in me."
The main system chuckled, "You believe everything she says?"
Su Chen frowned. "Are you here to sow discord between us?"
The main system took a sip of the decanted red wine and said slowly, "I just want to tell you the truth."
“Ningwu wasn’t originally in charge of a system for villainous wives, but rather a villainous system.” The main system looked up at her. “She was originally bound to a man, not you.”
Su Chen looked directly at her and said, "You mean, all these things I've experienced must be strange and insidious?"
Main System: "It's not her fault, it was my arrangement."
Su Chen scoffed, "Your arrangement? Are you destiny?"
