He left after saying that, leaving Su Chen completely bewildered, along with the gossipy people around them.
Su Chen: "Um... was that guy just now long-haired?"
"Yeah, weren't you staring at her the whole time? Don't you know whether she has long or short hair?" someone teased.
Su Chen came to her senses and ran in the direction he had gone, but she couldn't find him outside the teaching building.
I thought I would never see that person again, but I dreamed about it that very night.
The person in his dream didn't look like him, but they had the same eyes.
Those eyes were dark and deep, seemingly devoid of any emotion yet somehow swirling with something mysterious.
The person in my dream was wearing silver-rimmed glasses and typing on a computer keyboard; he looked both gentle and handsome.
He looked up at her and asked, "Why are you back so late?"
Just as Su Chen was about to answer, the scene suddenly changed.
He sat at the dining table and coldly asked her, "You... are you a reincarnated starving ghost?"
A strange thing happened: Su Chen heard his own voice reply to him, "Huh? I haven't eaten."
Su Chen: ? ? ?
She didn't open her mouth either.
Su Chen saw him pick up a piece of meat and say to her, "Eat slowly, don't choke."
Su Chen instinctively opened her mouth. But before the meat could even reach her mouth, the scene changed again.
Su Chen then realized that she was dreaming.
But... this dream felt so real!
She saw scene after scene of herself with this man.
She heard herself call out to this man: "Song Ming".
So his name is Song Ming?
Su Chen watched intently from the side.
But all stories have an ending, and dreams always come to an end.
She saw Song Ming driving with his left hand while quickly dialing a number on his phone with his right.
"Where are you?" he asked anxiously into the phone. "Home!"
Suddenly, a screeching sound of brakes rang in his ears, followed by a loud crash. The car Song Ming was in was sent flying, spinning in the air before its roof slammed hard against the ground.
Su Chen watched as blood streamed down Song Ming's face and head, and then loosened her grip on the steering wheel with her left hand.
But the hand holding the phone remained clenched tightly, never letting go until the very end…
Su Chen followed him into the operating room until the doctor came out shaking his head in exasperation.
She then noticed that Song Ming, who had been lying on the hospital bed, had sat up.
No, it shouldn't be Song Ming, it should be his soul.
The appearance of her soul after leaving Song Ming's body was exactly the same as the person she had seen during the day.
Su Chen followed Song Ming's soul, watching him pass through a dark vortex and enter the body of a boy smoking in a corridor.
Su Chen stared at him for a few seconds, looking at the cigarette butt on the ground, until she met another boy who was about the same age as him.
The boy's name was... Wei Hengyu.
Is this... reincarnation? Su Chen didn't understand either, and followed the boy named Wei Hengyu.
Watching him say to a girl, "Can you be my... fake girlfriend?"
"I know it sounds strange of me to say this..."
Su Chen heard her own voice ask him, "Why?"
Wei Hengyu said, "Because I like you."
Su Chen could tell from his expression that he was lying, and she turned to look at the girl opposite him, who clearly didn't believe her either.
And... this girl's voice is exactly the same as her own!
