Su Chen felt as if she were enveloped in a layer of mist, and everything around her was hazy.
"Where am I?" Su Chen subconsciously tapped her head.
"Dog system?" Why is the dog system pretending to be dead again?
"system?"
"Ningwu?"
"Little Ningning?"
...
No matter how many names Su Chen called out Ning Wu's various titles, there was no response in his mind.
What happened? Did he fall into a deep sleep?
"Pink dumpling?" Su Chen suddenly thought of the voice system. After all, it doesn't need to sleep, right?
"Pink dumpling." I called again, but there was still no response.
That's really strange.
Su Chen closed her eyes and tried hard to sense the space within her spiritual consciousness, but she couldn't feel anything at all.
"What happened?"
Could it be that the system got angry and locked the space so she can't enter?
Su Chen opened her eyes and carefully observed her surroundings.
The surroundings seemed to be shrouded in mist, and the mist dissipated as soon as the body touched it.
Seeing that there was a chance, Su Chen rolled up her sleeves and placed both hands on the loosened mist.
The mist hissed, followed by a tremor, and the surrounding mist turned into tiny ice crystals, accompanied by the sound of whales singing.
It was a sound that was lonely and desolate, yet penetrating only the very marrow of the brain.
Su Chen's mind jolted, and his spiritual consciousness felt as if it were filled with seawater about to overflow.
Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her bones and muscles, and a surge of energy welled up from her consciousness, as if it were cleansing her entire body.
The flesh was burning hot, and the bones were cracking, as if they were about to be crushed and reassembled.
Su Chen curled up on the ground, writhing in pain, and must have been biting her lip to endure it.
This process was extremely difficult, like dying and coming back to life repeatedly. By the time all the pain gradually subsided, countless hours had passed.
Even after the pain subsided, Su Chen was too weak to get up. She felt utterly powerless and fainted.
I was awakened by the sound of birds chirping.
"Don't sleep," a weak, high-pitched voice said.
"What happened to this tree spirit? Was it struck dead by lightning?" another faint, melodious voice asked.
“It rained so hard yesterday, and the thunder was so loud…” a somewhat hoarse voice analyzed.
Su Chen twitched her eyebrows a few times, and opened her eyes repeatedly.
There was a sparrow, a thrush, and a... crow perched beside her.
No, where is the person who was talking next to her?
"Oh, she's awake," the melodious voice said.
"But why is she looking at us like that?" the shrill voice said.
Su Chen rubbed her eyes. Oh no, don't tell her these birds are talking!
The crow opened its beak: "Could it have been blown silly by the wind and rain yesterday?"
Su Chen: !!!
"What...are you?"
"A bird? Can't you tell?" the sparrow said impatiently.
The thrush blinked. "I built my nest on you."
"My clothes?" Su Chen sat up and looked at her body. Everything seemed normal. Wait a minute! What kind of clothes was she wearing? Why were they so tattered? And covered in mud.
Crow: "What? You've even forgotten that you're a catalpa tree?"
"A catalpa tree?" Su Chen was completely dumbfounded. "You're saying I'm a tree?"
"I'm afraid he really was struck by lightning yesterday and it damaged his brain."
"Yes, the lightning yesterday was as big as a bowl. The willow tree demon was struck and killed by that bowl-sized lightning when it was undergoing its tribulation."
The sparrow pointed at Su Chen with its beak and asked the crow, "Did she undergo her tribulation yesterday?"
Crow: "Probably, the lightning can't be that thick unless it's for a tribulation."
