Chapter 290 Online Game: I Can Eat Like a Pig (Thirty-Three)

“Then I’ll go tomorrow,” Wuming decided.

"Whatever you want." Su Chen thought to herself: Just wait and see if my parents beat you or not.

As soon as she stepped out of the game pod, Liang Xueting's eyes, gleaming with gossip, were fixed on her, and she knew inwardly she was in trouble.

Before Liang Xueting could make a sound, he quickly turned off the bedside lamp, lay down on the bed, covered himself with the blanket, and fell fast asleep.

Liang Xueting was left to sigh in the darkness. It seemed that she wouldn't be able to get anything out of Su Chen today. She would have to try again tomorrow.

The next morning, the original owner's mother opened the door to Su Chen's room with a dark face.

"Su Chen, come downstairs after you've washed up and gotten dressed." With that, she slammed the door shut.

Su Chen was half asleep when she saw the original owner's mother's ashen face and remembered what Wuming had said yesterday. She had no choice but to wake up and try not to disturb Liang Xueting, who was sleeping soundly next to her.

After washing up, Su Chen casually grabbed a loose white dress from the closet and put it on, then loosely tied her hair into a low ponytail with a green wool hair tie.

Looking in the full-length mirror, she looked like a young girl who had just stepped out of the forest.

Su Chen hastily applied some face cream and went downstairs.

None of Wuming and her parents spoke; they just sat silently facing each other.

Su Chen said awkwardly, "Mom, I'm coming down."

The original owner's mother looked up at her and nodded, gesturing for her to sit on the single sofa.

"Uncle and Aunt, I truly love Su Chen, and I want to marry her." After saying that, he took out his business card and a stack of property deeds.

“I am willing to change all the properties under my name to Su Chen’s name,” Wuming said earnestly.

The original owner's mother didn't speak, but the original owner's father snorted, "Our family doesn't sell daughters."

The original owner's mother quickly called on her uncle and father, then turned to Su Chen and asked, "What are you thinking? Do you also want to get married so early?"

"I... also think it's a bit early. We should at least wait until we graduate from university to get married."

The original owner's mother nodded after listening, then turned to look at Wuming, "You see, that's what our daughter means. So..."

Wuming quickly said, "Uncle and Aunt, I came today to ask for your consent. Su Chen doesn't want to get married so early, that's fine, I can wait. But I hope you can allow Su Chen and me to date with marriage in mind."

The original owner's parents' expressions softened considerably, and finally her mother spoke up: "Okay, but the exact timing of the result is up to Su Chen."

Wuming nodded, "Of course."

After exchanging awkward pleasantries for a while, Wuming got up to leave.

Su Chen had no choice but to tell her parents, "I'll go see him off."

Having received permission, he followed Wuming out the door.

"You said you'd come today, and you really did?" Su Chen said reproachfully.

Wuming lowered his eyes. "I said I'd come to marry you today. But you..."

Su Chen explained, "Well, I haven't graduated yet! It would be so awkward to get married now! Some of my teachers aren't even married yet, and I'm already getting married."

Wuming nodded and agreed: "Okay, then you must marry me as soon as you graduate."

"Okay." Su Chen nodded, her face flushed.

Inside the house.

The original owner's mother read aloud the business card left behind by the anonymous person, "Chairman of Funshion Games? Wu Tian?"

"Is his name really Wu Tian?" The original owner's father snatched the business card. "Could he be from the Wu family?"

"Which Wu family?" the original owner's mother asked, puzzled.

The original owner's father placed the business card on the coffee table, "And the Wu family."

Her mother sighed, "Sigh... how did our girl get involved with someone like that?"
