Chapter 4 The Domineering CEO Falls for the Heiress (Part Two)

As Su Chen descended the stairs, she absorbed the original owner's memories. The system claimed it was to prevent her head from exploding, so it was slowly transmitting the memories to her, but Su Chen thought it was because the system was trash.

This is a cliché yet realistic story: The original owner's father and the villain Song Ming's father grew up together. After they grew up, they inherited the family business. Since one of them had a daughter and the other had a son, and they were well-matched, they got married a year ago.

However, the villain Song Ming had no feelings for the original owner, and even felt a bit annoyed by the original owner's cowardly personality.

In short, the two have not consummated their marriage, and have not even exchanged a few words, so the original owner does not know anything about this "husband".

"Host! To help you better adapt to the new environment, I've changed the original owner's name in all the worlds to Su Chen!" The system's voice was cheerful, as if it were asking for credit.

"Oh! That's amazing!" Su Chen praised expressionlessly.

"..." The system indicated that it did not want to talk to this woman right now.

Su Chen slowly descended the corner staircase, looked around, and found that the villain was not there.

However... after he left, Su Chen was quite happy to enjoy the luxury and extravagance of the mansion all by herself, especially since there was a free deluxe and nutritious breakfast!

However... to be honest, breakfasts that include the word "nutritious" are never as delicious as you might imagine.

Su Chen ate a few bites casually, and put down her chopsticks after confirming that she wouldn't faint from low blood sugar.

She's always been a huge fan of junk food, so she really can't get used to these healthy options.

After finishing her meal, Su Chen checked the time. It was still early, so she could look at the mansion again before doing her mission.

She looked around carefully. The entire mansion was built and decorated in a classical style. To match the overall design, all the furniture was made of huanghuali wood.

It's possible that wealthy families have a penchant for collecting antiques, so these pieces of furniture all have some history, some even being centuries-old artifacts.

As for the price, Su Chen didn't know, but she imagined it must be priceless. Because, while she was touching these antique objects, a man was always following her, as if afraid she would damage them.

"What are you doing following me?" Su Chen raised an eyebrow at the man who had been following her.

The man had delicate features, wore a proper black uniform and white shirt, and had a pair of gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose, giving him the appearance of a refined scoundrel.

"Madam, would you like to inquire about furniture today?" he said, adjusting his gold-rimmed glasses.

Su Chen searched through the original owner's memories and found that this was Steward Jia, under thirty years old, meticulous in his work, to the point that she suspected he had obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Su Chen silently gave him a nickname in her heart: "Fake Seriousness".

"Oh, no, I just realized today that these pieces of furniture are actually quite beautiful." She didn't want the "pretentious" guy to lecture her for hours about furniture history.

Butler Jia: "Hehe."

"..."

"System! System! Can you make this person disappear?" Su Chen rolled her eyes and mentally called out to the system.

"What's wrong?"

He cursed at me, "Heh!"

"Oh dear, they weren't insulting you, they were just awkwardly laughing." The system wiped away non-existent sweat.

"Just tell me if he can disappear!"

"No." The system declared, "Even the system has pride!"

"roll!"

"Waaaah... You used to call me daddy!"

Su Chen frowned: "Have you been watching another Mary Sue/pure-hearted drama?"

"Huh? How did you know, host?"
