"Do you really want a divorce?" the mother retorted.
Qian Duo nodded. Rather than spending his life with her in a superficial relationship, it would be better to set her free so she could find someone else.
After a moment of silence, the mother said, "In that case, a month or two won't make a difference."
Qian Duo bowed in gratitude.

Su Chen had been tossing and turning in bed for an hour.
She slapped the bed, got up, and called out to the door, "Cai'er!"
Cai'er slept in a separate room outside the screen, where there was a soft couch for her to use for keeping watch and resting.
"Young Madam, why aren't you asleep yet?" Cai'er mumbled, rubbing her sleepy eyes.
"I can't sleep." Su Chen sighed. "Come stand with me in the yard for a while."
Although Su Chen always prided herself on being more heroic than the average girl, she was still a little afraid of the dark.
“Young mistress, it’s autumn now. Standing outside in this deep, dewy weather can easily lead to catching a cold. Perhaps…” Cai’er’s eyes darted around, “How about I light some calming incense for you?”
Su Chen frowned. "I have calming incense in my room?"
"Of course there are. Didn't you pack a few packets of calming incense when you first got married?"
Su Chen raised an eyebrow. "How did you know I brought calming incense?"
“When I was little, my family made incense, so I can tell the scent by the color and smell.” Cai’er turned her back to Su Chen and lit the “calming incense” in the corner.
Su Chen snorted coldly and watched Cai'er with her arms crossed, as if watching a show.
Thinking to myself: Keep making things up! Keep making things up!
"So you must know how to make incense?"
"This servant is not skilled enough; I can only make some simple calming spices."
"Including, the bewitching fragrance," Su Chen said with certainty.
"Young Madam, I don't understand what you're saying." Cai'er turned around and lowered her head.
Su Chen couldn't see her eyes clearly, but she probably didn't want her to see it from her posture.
"Stop pretending. You're a smart person. You should know that this situation isn't suitable for talking about other things." Su Chen said calmly, quickly raising her hand to cover her mouth and nose with her sleeve.
“But even if I tell the truth, it will be too late…” Cai’er looked up, her eyes flashing with a strange light, and a cruel smile appeared on her lips.
Su Chen realized something was wrong and tried to get up, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't move her body an inch.
"System! System, you bastard! Get out here right now!"
The system is not responding.
"System! Even if I become a ghost, I'll float to the main system and complain about you!"
Still no response.
Su Chen was in despair...
As Cai'er drew closer, she steeled herself and bit her tongue hard. Instantly, a sweet and metallic taste filled her mouth, bringing a slight clarity to Su Chen's mind.

“No.” Cai’er stopped walking.
"Then why?"
Su Chen asked, while her body leaned awkwardly toward the wooden splinter at the head of the bed.
