The child hesitated, biting his finger as he took a step forward. Unexpectedly, the adult behind him pulled him back, babbling something incomprehensible to Su Chen, but she could guess that they were saying something like, "You unlucky child! So easily kidnapped? Didn't I tell you not to take things from strangers?"
Looking at the wary eyes of the adults holding their child, Su Chen realized that this person definitely thought she was a human trafficker.
Su Chen touched her face and almost cried. Although her face wasn't stunningly beautiful, it was still quite pretty, right? How could she become an irredeemable villain in their eyes?
Unexpectedly, Bai Ze, standing at the back, started speaking in a garbled language, which sounded like the same language as the group of people who were all white.
Su Chen just squatted there and stared blankly. Before long, the group of people changed their attitude completely.
"Let's go." Bai Ze stepped forward and helped her up. "They've agreed to let us stay for a while."
Su Chen gave him two thumbs up, her eyes full of admiration. It seemed Bai Ze was not only a skilled hunter, but also had a talent for languages!
How do you know their language?
Bai Ze shook his head, seemingly in disbelief himself. "I was able to understand those words, and then some words came out of my mouth."
Upon hearing this, Su Chen couldn't help but ponder: Could it be that Bai Ze was originally from this planet? But his skin isn't pure white, is it? Could it be that he learned the languages of various planets before he lost his memory?
As Su Chen was thinking, Bai Ze pulled her into the house. The house seemed to be woven together. There was a strong wind along the way, but once inside, there was no wind. She looked around and found it very magical.
"I just asked about the material of this house." Bai Ze glanced at Su Chen, and seeing her curious look, added, "It's made of a special kind of insect."
"Fine," he said, and Su Chen felt nauseous for a while.
Bai Ze then pointed to the bed, "This bed..."
"Stop talking, stop talking." Su Chen shook her head like a rattle drum. "I still need to lie down in the future. If you finish talking, I'll have to live on a spaceship."
Bai Ze felt a little wronged. He wanted to say that these were made of fiber materials, so did she hate fibers?
When it was time to eat, several more people brought food, including vegetables and pancakes. Su Chen tried one bite and couldn't stop. The vegetables were spicy and the pancakes had a savory sauce flavor. She had thought that since they were fair-skinned, their food would be bland and watery, but she hadn't expected it to be so flavorful. She liked it.
She ate so much that she was stuffed, and when Bai Ze saw that she was feeling uncomfortable, he took her outside to digest.
We walked further but didn't see any water, not even a small puddle. We didn't know how these grasses grew, let alone how they grew so lushly.
Su Chen: "The food smelled so good just now, but now that I think about it, it seems like it was all vegetables, with no meat at all. Is it because there are no birds on this planet?"
Bai Ze: "There are meat dishes, but it seems you can't eat them."
"Why can't you eat it?" I haven't seen her eat that much meat.
Bai Ze looked at her for a while and then remained silent.
Seeing his silence, Su Chen pondered for a while, realizing that she hadn't seen any beasts since yesterday, but had seen swarms of insects.
So... the meat Bai Ze was talking about, is it actually insects?!
Well, thank goodness he didn't say it, because just imagining it gave her goosebumps.
Bai Ze could tell from Su Chen's expression that she had guessed it, so he didn't say anything but gently patted her back.
