What followed was bizarre and fantastical. Su Chen watched as that man became Tao Wu, who possessed ice-based abilities in the apocalypse; Mo Rufeng, a descendant of the Mo family who hid his identity; Wuming, who accompanied her through dungeons and made her brown sugar ginger tea when she had stomach cramps; Arthur, the vampire hunter who waited for someone else to end his life; Jun Mochen, the incompetent king who both hated and loved her; Sheng Yu, who retired from acting to become a stay-at-home husband; Bai Ze, the orc who forgot his past; and Yi Mofeng, who was full of scheming...
Without exception, almost every world ends in death.
Su Chen watched him die in front of her time and time again, only to reappear before her again and again.
Strangely, as the world expanded, the black aura on his soul grew thicker and thicker until he appeared before her in a physical body that was exactly the same as his soul.
His robes fluttered, his long hair cascading down his back, wisps of hair brushing against his handsome features. He reached out and gently ruffled her hair. "Achen, Chen'er, have you remembered everything?"
Su Chen looked up at those eerily beautiful pupils, and before her mind could even process it, she nodded, as if she had been bewitched.
"Jinyu, are all of these me?" Su Chen asked.
The man in front of him chuckled and said, "What do you think?"
Su Chen then realized that she had blurted out the words "Jin Yu".
“Jinyu… is that your name?” Su Chen asked again.
"If you keep asking, I'm going to get angry." He said this, but there was no sign of anger on his face.
Su Chen puffed out her cheeks and said, "This is my dream, why would I be afraid you'll get angry?"
"You think this is a dream?" Jin Yu was taken aback.
"Isn't that right?" Su Chen pouted. "I don't even know if you're a real person now."
"Then... do you want to wake up?" he asked.
Su Chen answered honestly, "I don't want to right now."
Jin Yu smiled and asked softly, "Why?"
Su Chen put her hands behind her back and said very seriously, "Because you are good-looking, so good-looking that you don't seem human."
"Hehehe..."
Jin Yu laughed, her voice like the gentle tapping of pearls on a jade chime, both magnetic and clear.
"Your voice is lovely, you're beautiful and tall, and you look to have a great figure..." Su Chen's praises continued.
Jin Yu listened from the side, her smile growing wider and wider.
It had been almost half an hour by the time Su Chen had finished using all the compliments she knew.
Meanwhile, Jin Yu listened with a smile.
Su Chen blushed. "I've praised you so much, don't you have anything to say to me?"
Jin Yu: "What should I say?"
Su Chen: "Most people would refute such praise from others."
Jin Yu: "I'm not an ordinary person."
Su Chen: ...
I didn't expect this guy to be so...confident.
"You're not thinking I'm narcissistic, are you?" Jin Yu asked, raising an eyebrow.
Su Chen chuckled dryly, "How could that be?"
Jin Yu twitched the corner of her mouth, looking incredulous.
"You don't believe me?" Su Chen asked knowingly.
“How could that be?” Jin Yu said, looking into her eyes.
Well, this guy is using her words against her.
Jin Yu and Su Chen remained silent, but even without speaking, neither of them felt the slightest bit awkward.
Su Chen felt a strange sense of familiarity, a feeling similar to that of her and Jin Yu after many years together... in other words, the feeling of an old married couple.
Could it be true, as he said, that everything she saw was something that had actually happened?
