"No, it was... someone... who protected me." After saying that, Su Chen covered her face, her shoulders heaving, and the sound of sobbing could be heard.
The girl who asked the question knew she had probably touched a nerve, and said with a guilty look, "Um... I'm sorry."
Su Chen ignored her and continued to sob.
"Alright, alright, come with us to the camp. People have to live, after all!" The man next to him couldn't stand it anymore and quickly joined in to comfort him.
Su Chen quickly yawned a few times while covering her face to moisten her eyes before taking her hands down.
Seeing her like this, Wang Teng didn't know how to comfort her. After a long pause, he said, "Don't worry, the camp is absolutely safe."
Su Chen sniffed a few times and nodded.

The group walked cautiously, taking one or two steps with the gait of zombies.
All three were astonished; this woman's imitation skills were simply incredible! She had perfectly replicated the zombie's walking posture.
How could Su Chen not know that the three men had been glancing at her frequently along the way?
She was suffering inside too! Her legs felt heavy and stiff, like blocks of ice that had been frozen for over a decade. Every step she took required most of her strength.
She's exhausted... No! She's practically a living dead.
"We're here! Look!" said the unknown man next to him, pointing ahead.
Su Chen looked up and followed the direction he was pointing. She saw a teaching building with several layers of roadblocks at the entrance, which were intertwined and tightly packed together like iron ivy.
"We're back!" the man shouted excitedly towards the building.
Then several people gradually poked their heads out of the windows.
After a while, someone came out and somehow managed to open a slightly narrow dirt road in the middle of the roadblock.
"Oh, you're back alive? Not bad!" The person who opened the door scoffed.
"What's going on? What's happening?" The man whose name she didn't know among the three people Su Chen had followed back was confused about the situation.
He was just an ordinary person who survived by hiding in a closet. If he hadn't accidentally met this guy named Wang Teng, he probably would have starved to death.
The two walked for a while and then heard a faint call from inside the building.
The two men went over and found a woman named Pan Yiyi. They didn't know how she had survived the past few days; she was so hungry that she could barely walk.
Fortunately, Wang Teng had brought some high-calorie chocolates and shared two with them; otherwise, they might not have been able to climb this far.
What's going on here? It seems like Teng Ge isn't very popular?
"With your abilities, you're nowhere near as good as the boss! You dare to overestimate yourself and want to be the leader? Bah!" A skinny man, as thin as a monkey, walked over and spat.
Wang Teng was annoyed by his spitting and grabbed his collar, angrily saying, "I didn't want to fight!"
Su Chen stood by, arms crossed, watching the show.
Wang Teng isn't exactly known for her bad temper, but if someone spits on her, she'll fight back against that person.
"System, where is the plot now?"
[It'll develop to where the plot ends.] The system has somehow reappeared in the space, which is inside Su Chen's mind.
Su Chen recalled the original plot and realized that Wang Teng's current predicament was definitely caused by Tao Wu, the head of the protection camp.
