Chapter 116 Countdown: 6 Days

Ye Feng wants to fold a paper crane.

In his possession, this is the only thing that can be folded and used to coax children.

This thing had deeply poisoned him and almost left him with a shadow.

That was a few years ago. For some reason, his upper bunk mate suddenly fell in love with a female college student.

From then on, he began a crazy pursuit, using some outdated and old-fashioned methods to express his sincerity.

It is said that only classics are the most touching.

Paper cranes were one of the items, and he was forced to fold hundreds of them.

I was already exhausted from training at the time, and when I came back at night, I was still troubled by this thing.

It was such a small thing, but it was more tiring than defusing a bomb. It really made him suffer for a while.

I haven’t folded one in many years, so this first one... is really miserable.

The wings are crooked, one side is high and the other side is low.

It's really not good enough.

Ye Feng gritted his teeth and pulled out another book, tore off the title page neatly, and continued.

"Once is new, twice is familiar. How can you succeed without failure? If it doesn't work, we can try again, right?"

Ye Feng muttered to himself to hide his embarrassment and quickened his hands. The second time was much smoother, and in a short while, a relatively standard paper crane was made.

Ye Feng secretly breathed a sigh of relief and resisted the urge to wipe the sweat off his face.

Handing the paper crane to the boy, Ye Feng said softly, "Xiao Lang, this is called a thousand paper cranes. If you have anything you want to say to your father, you can say it to it.

“You see, it has wings, and it flies out to find daddy when you fall asleep at night.

"Send over everything you want to say to your father this day. When you wake up, it will come back to you."

Ye Feng rubbed Bai Lang's head and whispered a fairy tale that only children would believe.

The more cruel the world is, the shorter the time people can retain their innocence.

It's always better to stay one more day.

Bai Lang nodded seriously, and happily ran back with his new baby to share it with his mother.

Ye Feng looked at the child jumping around, lost in thought for a moment, then picked up the book on the table and read it carefully.

Every once in a while, he would close his eyes and cultivate his mental strength.

So, 3 days later.

14th day after opening eyes.

The somewhat long interstellar journey has finally come to an end.

Apuda's civilian spacecraft docked steadily in the receiving tower in Hawanda City with the hatch opened.

The crowd, still not completely calm after being frightened, rushed out in a hurry.

It seems that only when your feet touch land can you feel truly safe.

During the jostle, someone accidentally stumbled, lost control of his body, and fell forward, knocking a woman holding a child in front of him to stagger.

The woman was already close to the railing, and when she loosened her arm, the child flew out over the railing.

"ah--!"

The woman couldn't help but scream. At the critical moment, a slender arm quickly reached out, firmly grasped the child's foot, and pulled it back upside down.

"Xiao Lang!"

The woman rushed forward, hugged Bai Lang, looked up to thank him, and found that the person who saved her was Ye Feng again.

Ye Feng also felt that he and this child had a strong connection, as he happened to be next to him twice.

"Brother!" The boy leaned forward and grabbed Ye Feng's arm tightly, his hands hooked outwards, anxiously about to cry, "Paper crane! My paper crane fell!"

Ye Feng looked in the direction he was looking at, and just then a gust of wind blew by, and the paper crane was gently rolled up. It spun a few times and then rolled away.

"It's okay, don't cry! I'll fold another one for you."

Ye Feng picked up Bai Lang and walked down the floating ladder in a few steps.

"It's okay, it's not a big deal. A man shouldn't cry easily..."

Coming to a quiet place with few people, Ye Feng took out two more books, and the title pages of both books were also damaged.

His fingers moved quickly and he kept muttering to himself.

"Brother will fold two for you. Let's use one and look at one. Use whichever one you want. Whichever one you like, okay..."

Seeing the paper crane take shape, the little guy finally burst into laughter.

Finally taking care of the little guy, Ye Feng breathed a sigh of relief.

Waving goodbye, Ye Feng shook his head and sighed, saying that raising a child is not easy.

"This is Hawanda City!"

Ye Feng raised his head to look at the sky, which was a bright light blue and the air was clear.

"Finally, I don't have to wear an air purifier mask anymore. The light on the Imperial Star is really good, and there's no smog."

Long Sa also looked in the direction Ye Feng was looking and saw a bright scene.

It makes people feel a little brighter for no reason.

Looking around, you can see tall buildings, numerous shops, and flashing neon lights, dazzling the eyes.

Above the city, super ion trams, magnetic levitation sports cars, etc. are speeding on their respective tracks, full of high-tech and commercial atmosphere.

Ye Feng took a deep breath, and there was a rich and lingering smell in the air, like some kind of wine.

Even though he knew it was impossible, Ye Feng still glanced around and asked in his mind: "Brother Sa, what's that smell? It smells so good!"

"Have you thought of something to eat again?" Long Sa laughed. "This is the unique smell of the air on Emperor Star. Everyone calls it the aroma of ambergris."

"The air has its own smell?" Ye Feng was surprised.

"Yes." Long Sa said as if it was a matter of course.

"The air on each planet smells different. Some people can tell which planet a person is from just by smelling it."

Ye Feng lowered his head and sniffed himself: "What do I smell like? It can't be stinky, the air on the eighth planet doesn't smell good at all."

Long Sa smiled: "You smell...very nice."

"By the way, are there any delicious foods here? Don't tell me there aren't any..."

The two of them walked away chatting and asking each other questions.
