Chapter 5: Viper Hawk

Ye Feng raised his eyes and saw that Hawke's smile remained unchanged, but the eagerness in his eyes had deepened a little.

Looking at him is like looking at another little kid.

Her voice was just as gentle and kind: "We can go inside and talk in detail. I'll give you a detailed blood test, okay?"

Although he spoke in a negotiating tone, the robotic arm on his shoulder was rigid and could not be moved at all.

Ye Feng moved closer and whispered, "Professor, guess what, did I find anything interesting just now?

"Tell me, if I shout a few more words here, will it attract the attention of 'interested people'?"

This person came back specially to clean up the traces at the scene.

He is even unwilling to delegate the task to others. There must be some secret here that is unknown to outsiders!

Hawke laughed: "Ye Yi, are you threatening me, or reminding me to silence you?"

There wasn't a trace of worry in those deep brown eyes, and he said calmly, "I really don't believe you can discover anything significant.

"Besides, do you think anyone would believe what you say?"

He is just a nineteen-year-old kid who just left the incubation zone. How capable can he be?

Ye Feng looked directly into the nonchalant look in that person's eyes and said wittily, "It doesn't matter whether you believe it or not. Not believing it doesn't mean I won't check it out.

"I think you probably don't want anyone to disturb your plans, or to cause any complications."

Hawke smiled playfully: "Ye Yi, you have to know that now that you mentioned this, it is even more impossible for me to let you go."

He looked at Ye Feng, his gaze gradually becoming heavier, as if he could see through his clothes and into his bones.

It's like looking at a specimen on a chopping board waiting to be dissected.

Those who are truly inexperienced in the world cannot withstand this look, but Ye Feng is fearless.

He met Hawke's gaze, his eyes sharpening, "I know, but if I don't tell you this, the professor won't let me go, right?

"So, if you insist on inviting me in today, we'll both be doomed!"

To put it bluntly, it's a bet on who cares more.

"Haha, you really think I'm afraid of your so-called information. Don't say you don't know anything. Even if you did know——"

Hawke curled his lips and said, "Aren't you afraid that I will kill you right now to silence you?

Ye Feng said firmly: "You won't kill me now, because you are obviously more interested in me alive."

As soon as they met, this man couldn't wait to bring him into the laboratory, and he could clearly see the sudden enthusiasm in his eyes.

Also, the first sentence this person said was "You are awake", which means that "Ye Yi"'s "sleep" is related to this person.

He believed that this man would not let him die before he figured it out.

Hawke stared at him for a long while, then suddenly smiled: "Ye Yi, you've changed a lot compared to last time."

The last time we met, he was reserved yet timid, excited yet forcing himself to remain calm.

They have admiration and obedience for him, and their thinking is very simple and easy to control.

But this time he was much sharper and smarter.

"Didn't the professor just ask me if I felt anything unusual?" Ye Feng replied, half-truthfully, "This might be the biggest abnormality since waking up."

Hawke looked at Ye Feng's eyebrows and eyes carefully again, with a hint of inquiry.

Black hair, black eyes, yes, the facial features are still the same person.

It is also the most satisfactory Asian ethnicity he has ever met.

But I always feel that something is different.

He suddenly smiled and leaned close to Ye Feng's neck.

He used the tip of his nose to roam around Ye Feng's neck and ears, like a venomous snake sniffing its prey, and whispered in a tone that made one's scalp tingle, word by word:

"Ye Yi, I can smell the scent of your blood, it's very fragrant.

"Especially now when the blood is boiling, it's simply fascinating.

"No matter what, you can't escape from my grasp!"

Ye Feng raised his eyes, staring at the other person without blinking, his voice turned cold:

"Then how about we take a gamble right now, Professor? What do you think about whether what I just saw, or what I'm about to say, can attract the attention of someone with ulterior motives?"

Although Ye Feng is thin, his body is straight and his aura is sharp, like a steel knife drawn from its sheath, nailed there.

Hawke was already a focus of attention, and the tense atmosphere between the two immediately caused many people around to slow down their pace and look over at him with curiosity.

Hawke looked down at Ye Feng.

The man's eyes were dark and bright, and his expression was firm and resolute, without any sign of cowardice or retreat.

His originally non-aggressive and gentle facial features now revealed a desperate and fierce arrogance.

It was as if the previously timid body had been injected with some incredible confidence.

There really is something different.

"I'll only count to three." Ye Feng didn't give him much time to think. He counted one number after another from his mouth, clearly and steadily, decisively and simply, "One... two..."

He could feel the hand on his shoulder hesitate and loosen its grip slightly.

He seized the opportunity, twisted his body and slipped out of control.

Hawke withdrew his hand and returned to his gentle and loving self, but his words were filled with teasing.

"Okay, then it's okay to let you play for two more days."

Ye Feng dusted the place where Hawk had touched, as if brushing away dirt and dust.

Hawke's eyes deepened slightly, and he chuckled and said, "Good luck, little guy."

"Same here."

Ye Feng turned around and strode into the crowd with his head held high. His thin back was as straight as a pine tree, and he exuded a heroic aura.

Looking at Ye Feng's back, Hawke's eyes became more interested.

Where on earth did this person get such confidence from?

As for the threat this man made to him, he actually didn't take it seriously.

He didn't believe this man could discover anything big.

It's just that the timing is not very good today in public.

but……

He raised his hand and his subordinates came forward.

"Find two people to follow and test the depth." He added, "Stop when it's too late and don't hurt anyone."

He is still of great use.

The subordinate took the order and left. Hawk squatted down and carefully picked up the dried meat on the ground.

He then carefully wiped away all the bloodstains nearby with his own hands, sprayed blood volatile agent, and made sure that no trace was left before turning back to the research and control center.
