Chapter 3: Fiery Red Figure

"Hey, what the hell are you doing?" After paying the bill and leaving, Wang Zhenjun, looking confused, pulled Chen Zihan aside and asked, "What did you just say?"

After Chen Zi Han got drunk, he became completely different.

As a Tiebiao brother and a schoolmate of six years, Wang Zhenjun thought he knew Chen Zihan very well.

This is a man with good academic performance, a good figure and appearance, who is very proud and popular with girls.

When he was in high school, he was the object of many girls' affection.

But he is just like what Xu Zhimo wrote in his poem, "With a gentle wave of the hand, not a single cloud is taken away," he only flirts but is not responsible for the aftermath.

I wonder how many girls will never forget this irresponsible behavior.

This is also the reason why Chen Zihan dared to flirt with the campus beauty Luo Xiaofei as soon as he entered school.

He feels too good about himself.

Unexpectedly, I was ignored and brought shame upon myself.

However, the pride and confidence Chen Zihan displayed in front of Luo Xiaofei just now were completely different from before - he was not affected by Luo Xiaofei's rejection at all.

Chen Zihan dared to talk nonsense in front of Luo Xiaofei, and he couldn't even speak clearly, and he seemed to not know where to put his hands and feet.

Wang Zhenjun felt that Chen Zihan had matured a lot and there was a generation gap between them.

"What? Any objections?" Chen Zihan, chewing on a toothpick, looked at Wang Zhenjun with a shrewd look. "If you want to enjoy life more, just stay by my side from now on."

"Tsk!" Wang Zhenjun's face was filled with disdain. "Don't you see how miserable you looked this afternoon? After losing face, you dragged me out for a drink. After two bottles of beer, you lost your balance and fell into the West Lake. I'm really impressed by you!"

"That was just a joke. Falling into the West Lake is just a matter of missing a step." Chen Zihan ignored Wang Zhenjun's contempt. "Just wait and see. Within half a semester, Senior Luo will definitely pursue me. If you don't believe me, let's make a bet."

"What's the bet?"

"The loser has to do the other person's laundry for a semester."

"Let's change the bet." Wang Zhenjun refused. "Even if I win, I don't want you to wash my underwear."

"Are you afraid that I'll see your little virgin secret?" Chen Zihan laughed. "Well, then, tell me the bet!"

Wang Zhenjun thought carefully for a moment and said, "How about breakfast for two semesters?"

"No problem. Anyway, your family is richer than mine, and you are more hardworking than me. I will be very content to eat the breakfast you bought for a year."

“It’s still unknown who will lose!”

Chen Zihan patted Wang Zhenjun's shoulder vigorously, then walked forward with a laugh.

In 2001, Wushang was not yet extremely rich, but it was already richer than most places.

Chen Zihan and Wang Zhenjun's parents are ordinary office workers and do not have part-time business. Their family background cannot be considered very wealthy, but it is definitely not bad.

Later, after the market was relocated to their village, both sets of parents became landlords who could live a good life by collecting rent, and the market value of their family properties reached tens of millions.

In their previous life, Chen Zihan and Wang Zhenjun's parents bought a car in 2002. As the only sons in the family, they were treated well, and their clothing and consumption were no worse than those of their two roommates in Qiantang.

Of course, in the eyes of many people, Wushangren are all nouveau riche.

For this reason, Chen Zihan and Wang Zhenjun rarely use dialect in their daily communication.

In their own words, speaking dialect is too low-class, and communicating in Mandarin seems more classy.

People who come from small places always have an inferiority complex. What they fear most is being looked down upon, even if they have a lot of money in their pockets.

"After military training, how about we go to Huangshan for National Day?" Wang Zhenjun suggested as they approached the dormitory. "It's only been a month since school started, so why don't we just stay home? I heard that Tiandu Peak and Lianhua Peak, which are on rotation, will be open for a short while at the same time."

"Sure!" Chen Zihan agreed readily. "Go back one of the weekends and show up. We can go out and have some fun during the National Day holiday."

Life is short, so enjoy it while you can. This principle should never be relaxed at any time.

After a conversation, Chen Zihan took the initiative to bring the topic back to school.

From Wang Zhenjun, he learned a lot of things that he needed to know at the moment.

Chen Zi Han slept very soundly that night.

I haven't slept so soundly in many years.

The next day, Chen Zi Han woke up very early.

Seeing that the other guys in the dormitory were still sleeping, Chen Zi Han quietly got up and prepared to go for morning exercise.

Chen Zihan started to develop the habit of doing morning exercises every day when he was around 30 years old.

The results of sticking to morning exercises are obvious.

If he had not suffered an accident during surgery while on a foreign mission, which eventually led to him contracting an incurable disease, he would have been physically stronger than most of his peers.

He plans to develop this good habit in advance and start sticking to it while he is in school.

It’s early September and autumn hasn’t really arrived yet, but the morning breeze is cool.

Chen Zihan, who has completely accepted reality, is in a very good mental state.

There are still many students who love to exercise, and many people are jogging in the playground in the morning.

Chen Zihan took a few deep breaths of fresh air, looked at the playground full of youthful vitality for a while, and then jogged along the track.

Although I was young when I was admitted to university, my physical fitness was not as good as when I was around 30 because I had less physical exercise in high school.

After running five laps, Chen Zi Han felt a little overwhelmed.

Just as he slowed down, a fiery red figure brushed past him and suddenly ran ahead.

The swaying high ponytail, the red sports suit, the slender waist, the slightly taut hips, and the long legs instantly aroused his hormones. His running speed immediately increased, and he overtook the red figure at the bend.
