Chapter 5 I Want to Be the Class Monitor

Freshmen will spend the first month of school in military training.

The September sun is still very scorching, and the power of the autumn heat is still there.

The instructors in charge of military training are also very serious and responsible.

The scorching heat and the instructors' seriousness and responsibility made the freshmen complain bitterly.

The weather is even hotter today. The playground is scorching hot, and the heat waves rising under the scorching sun make everyone feel like they are in a furnace.

Many people's training uniforms were covered with a layer of white salt crust, and some students with poor physical fitness soon couldn't stand it.

However, the instructor did not show them any leniency.

For students who cannot hold on, let them take a short rest in a cool place before continuing training.

Chen Zi Han didn't feel any hardship or tiredness at all. As his physical condition was getting better and better, he even felt that the intensity of the military training was a little too low.

He also used practical actions to encourage his classmates not to be lazy.

"You're a bit perverted!" Wang Zhenjun felt that Chen Zihan was a little abnormal. During the break, he complained to Chen Zihan, "I'm exhausted. I really want to drop out of school. Why are you so energetic? Did you take stimulants?"

"Perform well, maybe some pretty girls have been noticing us!" Chen Zihan smiled and patted Wang Zhenjun on the shoulder. "Girls like guys with good physiques. It's human biology. Have you seen Animal World? Hehe, don't let the girls look down on you on the training ground!"

"Tsk, what's there to be proud of?" Wang Zhenjun said angrily, "You're just a little taller, aren't you?"

Chen Zihan ignored Wang Zhenjun and went over to get close to the instructor in charge of their class.

I had just spoken a few words to a few instructors when screams were heard from the playground.

"Someone fainted!"

"There's no heartbeat or breathing! Help..."

"Call the school doctor, call 120!"

Exclamations were mixed with the screams and cries of girls. Many people hurried over and the playground was suddenly in chaos!

"Instructor, I know first aid techniques. I'll go take a look!" After Chen Zi Han reported loudly, he ran quickly to the scene of the accident.

A boy in the first class of clinical medicine with poor physical condition suddenly collapsed during training.

After being helped to a cool place by his classmates, they found that he was covered in cold sweat, and his heartbeat and breathing were very weak.

Although they were all medical students, they had just enrolled and knew almost no medical first aid knowledge, so they could only shout and scream in panic.

"Get out of the way!" Chen Zihan quickly rushed to the scene and pushed aside the students blocking his way. "Let me see!"

Chen Zi Han was a big guy, and in his panic he pushed several students who were standing in front of him to the ground.

The people who were pushed away were still cursing, but Chen Zi Han completely ignored them.

He rushed to the tall and thin student who fainted due to the accident, laid his body flat, and then stretched out two fingers to feel his carotid artery. He found that his pulse was almost gone and his spontaneous breathing had stopped.

"Sudden death, call 120 immediately!" After Chen Zihan shouted this, he immediately prepared to rescue.

When a person's heart stops beating, blood circulation stops.

Through chest compressions, blood can flow to the heart and large blood vessels to maintain the minimum blood requirements of major organs such as the heart and brain.

Artificial respiration can allow people with respiratory arrest to maintain a certain degree of oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange and maintain the most basic life!

The 4 to 6 minutes after the heart and breathing stop is the golden time for rescue.

If this time is exceeded, irreversible damage will be caused to the patient's brain and other important organs and tissues.

Time is life!

In recent years, hospitals at all levels have attached great importance to the teaching of CPR, or cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

As long as you work in the hospital, whether you are a clinical medical staff or a staff member of an auxiliary department, you must complete the CPR teaching test once or twice a year.

As the head of the department, Chen Zihan often presides over CPR assessments for junior medical staff. He is very familiar with all the key points of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation process.

After a brief inspection and skillfully opening the airway, he immediately began chest compressions.

Give two compressions at a steady pace per second, and after thirty strong compressions, give two artificial respirations.

After two very standard artificial respirations, chest compressions continued.

After every 30 chest compressions, give two artificial respirations, and repeat this process.

While rescuing the patient, he also loudly explained the essentials of CPR to the surrounding students.

CPR is very physically demanding.

Beads of sweat dripped down Chen Zi Han's forehead, his clothes were soon soaked, his breathing became heavier, and his arms quickly became sore.

But Chen Zi Han still gritted his teeth and persisted.

Soon, the school doctor arrived at the scene.

Chen Zihan, who had been rescuing the patient for several minutes and performing hundreds of compressions, was almost exhausted.

Generally speaking, after two minutes and five cycles of CPR, the person in charge should be replaced to ensure the quality of the compressions.

But there were no other professionals around, so Chen Zihan could only grit his teeth and persevere.

When he saw the school doctor coming, he immediately asked this woman in her forties to take over.

But what surprised him was that the female school doctor was unfamiliar with CPR, her pressing force was not strong enough, and she was reluctant to perform artificial respiration.

Chen Zi Han was furious and pushed her aside and went back on stage.

However, his physical strength could not be restored immediately. After only one cycle, his hands became unresponsive.

"Zi Han, let me do it!" Wang Zhenjun, who was standing nearby, volunteered to step forward and replace Chen Zi Han.

"Okay, you come!" Seeing that Wang Zhenjun's dark face was full of determination, Chen Zihan made way and let him take over.
