Chapter 15 Xiongbao Association: "Too pretentious..."
His words were as cold and ruthless as his voice, but he himself did not seem to think so at all, as if he was simply stating a fact in a simple and innocent way.
I never expected to be rejected so ruthlessly.
The scene fell silent for a moment, and many insects could not hide their sadness.
In the blink of an eye, the restless hearts of the female insects who had just been vying to display their peacock-like plumage withered away, just like the roses that had been squeezed and were now barely hanging on.
Taking advantage of the moment when the insects calmed down, the marshal gave a wink to the female soldiers beside him, and a team of female soldiers went out to manage the order and evacuate part of the insect swarm.
Vison stood beside Feppus with his usual cold and ruthless expression, unmoved by any female insect, beautiful face, or pleading, heartbroken, or tender gaze.
The camera honestly recorded this scene.
Soon after, everyone learned that their new male insect lord was a being who, though as beautiful as a god, was exceptionally aloof, noble, and cold.
"Do you have any goodwill towards any of them? They all hold important positions on the central star. If you take any one of them into your fold, you won't have to worry about most things."
Fipos heard his own voice, calm and collected as usual, but it felt as if it were coming from another insect.
If it were earlier, Vison might have thought that Feppos was jealous, and might have felt a strange, sweet, secret joy because of it.
But now, no insect knows Fipos's cold-hearted nature better than him.
His question might even have been a well-intentioned suggestion.
Vison didn't think any further. He glanced at Fipos indifferently, said nothing, and looked away, watching with a detached expression as the army cleared the swarm of insects in front of him, leaving only a few insects, and drove the reporters far away.
"Lord Vison."
When Vinson heard his name called, he looked up and saw a red-haired insect walking towards him. Not only was the red-haired insect not driven away by the army, but it was also closely followed by a female soldier who looked like she had a military rank.
Red-haired Bug looked a little older than him, with handsome features and arrogant eyes. At first glance, he seemed like someone not to be trifled with, like the kind of thugs he often encountered when he was in school who would lean lazily against their motorcycles, smoking cigarettes, looking fierce, ruthless, and good-looking.
But the moment he saw him, he grinned and smiled at him in an exceptionally friendly way. Although it looked a bit strange against his face, it also seemed very sincere.
"Let me introduce myself. I am Ranco Brandts, the current president of the Xiongbao Association. It's a pleasure to meet you." Ranco extended his hand, his eyes, which were usually full of impatience, were now filled with a smile, a stark contrast to the man who had been cursing Feibos while waiting.
This is the Xiongbao Association chairman that Ilya entrusted to him?
Vison was somewhat surprised; he was much younger than he had imagined.
And this should be the real deal, a male insect in the world?
Ilya said he would stay at the Xiongbao Association for a few days as required, so Visen neatly extended his hand to shake his, without flattery or contempt.
"Hello, my name is Vison."
“Yes, of course I know you.” Lanco smiled brightly, speaking in a tone befitting an elder, and grasped his hands in both. “Welcome home, child.”
"Thank you." Faced with such kindness, Vincent was somewhat at a loss for words and could only offer a stiff thank you.
However, Lanco's expression changed immediately, and he ordered Feipos and the others in an unfriendly and self-righteous tone: "The general and the marshal should be on their way to the palace. They shouldn't mind giving us a ride?"
"It's my duty."
Feibos didn't have any ill will towards the Xiongbao Association president who often caused him trouble, and he nodded indifferently.
*
For most of the journey, Lanco was talking to Vison, while Feibos and the others stood quietly at a distance from them.
This Lanco leader had an intimidating face, but was surprisingly talkative. He chatted about everything from everyday life to the current state of the Empire, enriching Vinson's lack of basic knowledge about the Zerg, while also making Vinson, who had little social experience, feel some pressure.
He could only offer simple responses, occasionally revealing an awkward yet polite smile.
While Lanco got up to answer the call, Visen breathed a sigh of relief.
"The Xiongbao Association will probably require you to undergo a medical examination. Would you like me to arrange for you to avoid it, Mr. Vison?"
Knowing that Vinson was now rejecting him, he hesitated for a long time, thinking of Vinson's previous fear of medical examinations. He still took advantage of Lanco's absence to come and ask him, even using distant politeness.
As he asked the question, he also prepared for the fact that some of the agents he had cultivated over many years to infiltrate the Xiongbao Association would be exposed.
Upon hearing this, Vison looked up and gave him a strange look, clearly puzzled.
He said indifferently, "No need."
Did he think that the Xiongbao Association would extract his pheromones like he did?
Seeing this, Feibos wanted to say something, but was chased away by Lanco, who had rushed over after hearing the commotion.
"Some female insects are full of sweet talk. You're still young, so you mustn't believe them." Lan Ke frowned, looking as if he were afraid his own cabbage would be eaten by a pig, and gave him this warning.
Phibos Gesilian is notorious for his bad attitude towards male insects.
“Yes.” Vincent felt particularly acutely about this, after all, he had been deceived not long ago.
So the two insects started chatting about this common topic. Lanco already felt sorry for Visen because he was an unregistered person, and he knew from their previous conversation that Visen was very taciturn. Now, hearing him recount many of his "experiences" of being deceived by female insects, Lanco's eyes were filled with pity for him.
"It's alright, little one, I'll take care of it and pick out a few good female insects for you." Lanco said earnestly, holding Visen's hand.
Lanco's voice was quite loud because he was excited, and since the spaceship wasn't very big, all the insects heard it immediately.
Marshal Devi raised an eyebrow as he looked at his female, whose expression seemed completely calm, but whose presence actually made the air around her seem heavier.
He smiled, turned to Lanco and asked in a gentle tone as if he were just curious, but in reality, there was danger in his voice: "Then I wonder if the Gesilian family is qualified?"
The Gesilian family, royalty—who dares to say they're not qualified?
Lan Ke immediately gritted his teeth, not wanting to say enough but not daring to say it wasn't enough, and held back his anger without responding.
The atmosphere immediately became tense.
Seeing Lanco's angry but speechless expression, Devi smiled innocently, his words becoming even more amiable: "Why isn't Chairman Lanco saying anything?"
“We’ve arrived, gentlemen.” Fipos suddenly spoke, interrupting the invisible battlefield filled with the smoke of battle.
"Heh." Marshal Devi glanced at Feppos, chuckled, and stepped aside.
Ranco, having suffered a silent loss, became even angrier. Visen felt that if Ranco hadn't been unable to defeat the marshal, he might have already charged forward.
"Being too pretentious won't win you over as a male master." After Lanco led Vison away, Devi leaned lazily against the wall and said to his female.
With a nonchalant smile, Fipos continued walking as if he hadn't heard a thing.
*
The male insect protection association occupies a large area, with an architectural style similar to the embassy that Visen had previously seen from afar, and of course, it is full of high technology.
After safely escorting them to the entrance of the Xiongbao Association and watching them go inside, Feibos and his group returned to their duties.
"That whole family are insane." After entering the Xiongbao Association, Lan Ke gritted his teeth and said fiercely.
Vison hadn't expected that Marshal Devi, who bore a resemblance to Fipos but with a gentler demeanor, would have such a highly aggressive personality.
"Let's not talk about those things that upset the insect." Lanco shook his head violently, as if to put the things that had just angered the insect behind him, and softened his tone. "I'll show you around and where you'll be staying for the next few days."
Lanco dutifully led Vison on a tour of the entire Xiongbao Association, finally bringing him to a beautiful two-story apartment.
"This is where you'll be staying for the next two weeks. Get some rest today. Tomorrow, a doctor will give you a simple physical exam and a proficiency test. Don't be nervous." Lanco gave Vinson detailed instructions, as if he were instructing his own child.
"There will be courses scheduled later. These courses will help you better adapt to the environment of Central Star. There will be a final exam in two weeks. Only by passing the final exam can you become a real male insect of Central Star. So, little one, you have to study hard and don't skip classes, okay?"
Visen looked at Lanco, whose face looked like he was about to skip class, and who was giving him a "kind" lecture about not skipping class. He felt the scene was really weird.
He nodded hastily, and after seeing Lanco off, he quickly fled into the apartment.
The apartment was luxuriously decorated and equipped with various smart robots that made Vincent want to take them apart. It also had a small yard, and the view outside the window was extremely beautiful. Everything was great, except... it was a bit too big.
Vison stood in the center of the room, his face pale, his hands clenched, feeling extremely uncomfortable.
This apartment was the same as the small villa where he had spent most of his childhood. When it got dark, the surroundings were deathly silent, without any sound or fragrance. The whole room was terrifyingly empty, and even the lights seemed exceptionally pale. Everything was like death.
Occasionally, noises coming from outside the window or door would send shivers down my spine.
As I grew up, I gained more courage, but my timidity remained unchanged.
Just like he is standing here now, familiar yet disgusted, letting this monstrous house swallow him up.
*
Perhaps the previous experience had such a profound impact on him that it shattered his previous understanding and even made up for his desires with falsehoods.
He dreamed of Faber.
Even though this insect had previously tried to extract his pheromones, he still couldn't help but dream about him.
In a cave where the scent of oranges permeates the air.
He dreamt that Phibes let him get dressed and agreed to marry him when he asked.
So he got a wife.
A female insect wife whose appearance completely aligns with his sexual fetishes, and whose entire body smells of sweet oranges.
He loved him and cared for him with all his heart.
They have a new home, and their new home is filled with loving kisses, hugs, and other unspeakable moments.
Later, they even got an insect egg, and he could even dream about and touch the appearance of the insect chick.
After their insect offspring were born, they chose a good day, took the offspring and food, and went to a large meadow for a picnic. The scenery was beautiful, the sun was shining, and a gentle breeze was blowing.
He lay on Phibos's lap, and Phibos lovingly stroked his face and placed a tender kiss on his forehead.
A note from the author:

I had a dream while writing this chapter, and the feeling of the dream was really wonderful.
