Chapter 22: A Simple Version of Fei Chuan...

Chapter 22: A Simple Version of Fei Chuan...

During this time, he lived in the house that Xiongbao had given him. Lanco said that every male insect would receive a house as a gift from the Empire.

He still couldn't get used to dormitory life, even a single room.

This place is similar to the house he lived in at the Xiongbao Association back then.

It's a bit smaller, but the location is great, and it's close to the school. He'll be living here most of the time, which will keep him away from the swarms of insects.

But I never expected that insects would come knocking on my door.

"Vincent." The insect, its big eyes wide with confusion and bewilderment, squatted at his doorstep, calling out to Vincent with a mixture of joy and grievance as he watched him return.

He was far different from a general who was casual yet sharp-tongued and had won countless battles.

?

Vison paused, even wondering if he was seeing things.

He frequently missed and hated the insect, but after not seeing it for almost half a year, it suddenly appeared at his door. For a moment, he thought he was dreaming.

"I've been waiting for you for so long." When he saw that Vinson had stopped, he stood up and ran over to hug him, his expression even more aggrieved, looking at him as if he were some scumbag who had abandoned his wife and children. "Why did it take you so long to come back?"

Vison was caught off guard and was suddenly embraced by the insect-shaped dog. The insect put most of its weight on him, almost knocking him over.

"What are you doing here?" he asked back.

"I'm going home."

Fipos looked up at him in confusion, answered as if it were a matter of course, and wondered why he would ask such a question.

Vison's heart was unexpectedly touched by his casual and self-righteous "going home".

He didn't ask any more questions, nor did he move. He stood there, silent as a statue.

It seems they don't know how to approach or handle this situation.

Or... as he's thought about countless times, should we lock him up?

No, no, what is he thinking? This insect is an imperial general, a prince.

Vison stood there, rubbing his aching temples.

"Stop lying to me. Go back to where you came from." His tone turned cold when he spoke again.

Fipos was startled by his somewhat fierce tone, and his expression became even more aggrieved. He released Vison, and the whole insect stood timidly straight, like a scolded child.

Seeing Vincent's expression, I couldn't help but call out to him.

“Visen”.

"You won't leave?" Vinson asked coldly, his dark eyes fixed on him.

"Yeah, I'm not leaving." He clutched the seam of his black trousers, looking extremely uneasy. "I want to go inside, I want to go home."

Vison didn't speak, he just kept looking at him.

Seeing that Vison remained silent, Feppos also dared not speak.

Vincent's lips tightened more and more, and the atmosphere grew increasingly tense.

After a long while, Vincent seemed to give up, sighed, opened the door with a cold face, stood in the doorway, and looked at Fei Bosi with a gloomy expression.

His voice was as cold as if it had been soaked in ice water: "Once you're in, you won't be able to get out."

"Uh-huh."

When he saw the door open, Fei Pos's eyes lit up. Whether he heard what Vison was saying or not, the whole insect happily strode inside.

Vison watched him go in from behind, his eyes filled with gloom.

He could tell at a glance that Feibos's mental state was unusually off, like he had turned back into an innocent child, but he still couldn't help but take him seriously.

"Visen, where are my shoes?" Fipos, who was standing in the entryway, couldn't find his slippers and started calling out to him.

Vison walked over with a sullen face and silently took out new slippers from the shoe cabinet.

“What about my old ones?” Fipos was clearly dissatisfied. He stared at the slippers on his feet, which were obviously not from the same series as the ones on Vinson’s feet, and insisted, “These are not the same as yours.”

Vison pulled a new pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet, clearly from the same series as the ones Feppos was wearing, and casually said, "I forgot to change."

Fipos believed it and was immediately appeased, becoming happy again like a child.

Similar incidents occurred frequently during the two weeks that Feibos lacked awareness.

He would question Vincent about why his bowl was different from his, why there was no toothbrush for him in the bathroom, why they couldn't sleep in the same bed, and so on.

Although Vincent never gave him a kind look, he would try to appease him through his actions. He replaced the bowls, cups, and toothbrushes with matching sets...

Gradually, traces of the two insects living together filled every corner of the room.

Fipos wouldn't let him go out, but he coldly ignored Fipos's cries and left without looking back. Two hours later, he returned home carrying a pile of machinery and blueprints, and no matter how Vesa made the phone call, he never went out again.

He even allowed Phibos to sleep in the same bed with him. When he woke up in the middle of the night and saw Phibos frowning in discomfort, he released an excess of pheromones to soothe him until his expression calmed down before he went to sleep with him.

Of course, Vison sometimes felt particularly frustrated when faced with the innocent and naive Fipos.

For example, he was repeatedly teased by Feppos unconsciously to the point of feeling unbearable discomfort. Once, Vincent had already pinned him down hard, but looking into those clear, innocent eyes, Vincent eventually turned and went to the bathroom.

But Fipos wouldn't appreciate his good intentions now.

He would still cling to Vison in a bad mood, wanting him to watch movies with him, play games with him, and hug him. Even when he was drawing mechanical blueprints, repairing machinery, or having meetings with his mentor, he would stick to his side and ask him to release more pheromones to comfort him when he was feeling unwell.

It possesses the innocence and dependence of a child, yet also the body and desires of an adult insect.

The contradictions in Fei Pos often troubled and bewildered Vison. Sometimes Vison felt as if he was raising a "child bride," as if the world had gained a new little family, with the two of them.

Overall, Vison complied with all his requests in a good-natured manner, and even when he was most focused on drawing blueprints, he would still have a hand free to gently pat his head to comfort him.

His long white hair was combed smooth and shiny, like the finest silk, some of it draped over his legs and some over the carpet.

Feppus slept peacefully with his head on his lap, his long white eyelashes covering his beautiful, sharp, ruby-like eyes, making him appear exceptionally well-behaved, and even his entire aura became gentle and obedient.

Vincent twirled a strand of his hair around his fingertip, playing with it. He had been looking at the blueprints intently, but as he looked, he couldn't help but let his gaze fall on the sleeping face on his lap.

He really enjoyed this time, or rather, he was very attached to it.

He didn't know why Feibos had become like this, nor how long he would stay like this. Sometimes he even had the despicable thought that it would be great if Feibos could stay like this forever, just stay like this, depend on him, and spend his whole life with him. He promised that he would always be good to him and be willing to be depended on by him forever.

These precious moments were exactly the same as what he dreamed of, where Phipps promised him that they would live a simple and mundane life together.

Seeing more and more pairs of things in the house, watching the TV playing, feeling the warmth of another body that might come at any moment, and the waiting gaze that would meet his eyes when he came back from going out, the concept of home seemed to be gradually becoming concrete. He was slowly healed by these gentle, warm days, undisturbed and peaceful.

Even though he knew that these days would eventually end, and that the little worm who was still cuddling with him might one day completely forget everything and turn back into a distant and cold-faced general, he still couldn't refuse, couldn't stop these moments first.

I'll think of it later.

Vison stroked his face, almost pleading.

But perhaps he pleaded with the wrong person, or perhaps his heart wasn't sincere enough. In any case, after a period of confusion lasting about two weeks, Phipps finally came to his senses.

He did not lose his memory; in fact, he remembered everything very clearly.

Even when Vinson was so aroused by him that his dark eyes turned bloodshot, he still forced himself to go to the bathroom. When he came back, he was so oblivious to what had happened that he shamelessly asked Vinson to release his pheromones on him.

This included his complaints that Vison didn't spend time with him, didn't touch him, and used different tableware than him...

After regaining his senses, Phipps recalled his foolish behavior and felt ashamed and embarrassed.

That "fool" was particularly annoying, and it's unclear what kind of mentality Vincent had that allowed him to tolerate it for so long.

How could a male insect be so patient and good-tempered as to let a female insect that is clearly abnormal and even needs his care into its home?

Fepos felt his mental sea within his body had become significantly more stable. The pain that used to flare up had now completely disappeared. He could even smell that his orange scent had been tinged with a heavy glacial aroma, a scent that could only be acquired after being infused with too much of another person's pheromones.

There was also his smooth, delicate white hair tied into a half-ponytail. He still remembered how clumsy and embarrassed the gentleman was when he helped him tie his hair on the first day, the regretful look on his face as he earnestly learned to braid hair, and how he tied his hair into a delicate hairstyle that he had never tried before every day afterward.

Without a doubt, he was well taken care of.

No insect had ever treated him so well before. Even his parents, when they were kind to him, were usually doing so to express their resentment or indifference towards their partners; it was all for a purpose.

He had never seen how other normal male insects treated female insects; he only knew that at this moment he truly felt a relaxation and...happiness he had never experienced before.

Yes, happiness.

For the first time, he experienced the concrete manifestation of this word; he realized that this word could also be associated with him.

Looking back on those days, he recalled them as beautiful dreams that his barren imagination could never have imagined, like the first piece of candy he received after brutal training as a child, so sweet it made his throat choke, yet he still wanted to eat more.

And that gentleman?

What was his mindset when he looked at him? What kind of feelings did he have when he touched and comforted him?

He was so engrossed in his thoughts that he blurted it out unintentionally.

"Good boy." Vincent was half asleep, thinking that he was bothering him as usual, but he couldn't open his eyes. He reached out and gently patted his arm, murmuring a soft coaxing sound.

He took three cold showers yesterday and used excessive amounts of pheromones to lull Phipps to sleep, keeping him awake until sunrise before finally falling asleep.

It's hard to believe that a male insect could end up in such a predicament.

Fipos then realized that their current posture was unusually intimate.

Vison was still held in his arms like a large doll, his warm breath brushing against his ear.

As if burned, Fipos quickly let go, sat up, and was filled with emotions that even he himself couldn't understand.

The jolting and the sudden loss of body temperature jolted Vinson awake. He slowly got up, rubbing his eyes: "What's wrong? Still feeling unwell? Do you need pheromones?"

He was met with silence.

"Hmm?" Vincent looked up in confusion and met those clear and sharp eyes.

The magic ended at 12 o'clock, and the uniquely Vison-like Feibos returned to being the general surrounded by insects, who cared about nothing yet cared about everything.

......

It's back to normal.

It was as if, at the height of his happiness, Visen was suddenly doused with a whole basin of ice water, which jolted the entire insect back to its senses.

Vincent thought he would be angry and sad on this day, but when the day actually came, he found that he only felt calm, as expected. He even smiled, a smile with a hint of hatred.

It felt like, "I knew it would turn out the same way."

"General Fipos, good day." Vison withdrew the gentle and patient expression he had when facing "simple Fipos," and put on the cold expression that Fipos was familiar with, the one he had seen when they parted ways at the dormitory last time.

-----------------------

The author says: As I wrote about this young couple, I felt a pang of tenderness in my heart.

I originally wanted to prolong Fei Fei's current state a bit, but if it's too long, the plot will progress too slowly.

I quite like this atmosphere.

I'll see if anyone wants to see something like this later. If so, I'll write a side story about this state, and also add a side story about Mori's state. (Hehehe)
