Chapter 27, Chapter 29: Lingering Warmth "We are one..."

Chapter 27, Chapter 29: Lingering Warmth "We are one..."

The meal was finally coming to an end. Both of them were clearly full, even stuffed, and were enjoying the afterglow of the meal.

They embraced each other, panting, their bodies soaked through with sweat and all sorts of water. The intense heat had fogged up the glass, but they didn't care. They lifted each other's wet hair, cupped each other's faces, and leaned against the window, kissing passionately.

Tender, affectionate, passionate, loving—forgetting everything before, remembering only the affection and admiration for each other, burying all unspeakable feelings in this kiss.

Even the previously somber and heavy atmosphere eased slightly. Although none of them had forgotten the disputes or the small cracks in their hearts, they all tacitly kept quiet about it.

At least for now, let's forget about it, pretend there's no grudge, and hug each other, letting time stand still.

Only when the sun was high in the sky, and the clock struck again, did they finally and reluctantly let go of each other.

The disheveled Phipps needs a good wash before he can go back to being the majestic general.

However, there are more important things to do before that.

Feibosi was wetting the black hair she had been longing for with just the right amount of warm water, and gently massaging her scalp in circular motions with her fingers.

A year ago, he would never have imagined that he would one day be so passionately entwined with a male insect, and then tenderly bathe and embrace each other.

Fipos applied just the right amount of pressure and used the perfect technique. Vison was so comfortable that he kept humming, like a little white puppy that had been petted and was now acting cute.

“You’re happy, aren’t you?” Fipos asked tentatively.

“You.” Vison corrected his form of address. Every time Feibos addressed him with a respectful term, he felt as if he were keeping Feibos as a mistress, so he didn’t resist the feeling. But there was something more important to say: “We are one, at least, that’s how it is now.”

One.

This is what he longs for.

It was like a pie falling from the sky; the thing he craved most was suddenly spoken by Vincent in a calm tone. Feibos felt that no matter what traps lay ahead or what price he had to pay, he was willing to accept it, as long as they could be entangled with each other.

How wonderful.

A sense of pleasure filled him completely, and a smile couldn't be contained from the corners of his mouth. He readily changed his form of address: "Visen, you're happy, aren't you?"

"Um?"

“When I told you I was going to the military,” Fipos recalled the details, “you looked at me with a strange expression, but you still agreed instead of asking questions. So, deep down you liked me doing this, didn’t you?”

Vincent hadn't expected him to be so observant, but he readily and without any attempt to hide his feelings replied, "Yes."

"I'll tell you next time too." Touched by his straightforward admission, Fepos couldn't control the emotions surging within him and placed a light and gentle kiss on his forehead.

Vison was cheered up by the kiss and lay in his arms, continuing to enjoy the massage, answering the question that Fipos had asked at the beginning: "I like it."

"Um?"

“I like your wild side too.” Vincent’s tone was soft and slow, with a lingering tenderness, as if he were savoring the memory.

He said he was dissolute, and he asked in return if there were things he didn't like.

Fipos chuckled in surprise, not expecting that he would still remember.

But that's just how Vison is; he responds properly to every question and every matter.

Fipos helped him rinse the foam off his hair, and as he watched him peacefully close his eyes, his long, curled eyelashes trembling slightly with the water droplets, his heart melted completely.

He was the most unique male insect he had ever encountered; he was one of a kind.

"I'm going out, Vincent." Fipos placed the drink he was holding on Vincent's table. Vincent glanced up, took a sip, and silently acknowledged him, continuing to draw the mechanical blueprints in his hands.

This drink was developed specifically for female insects, and it's made with a lot of ingredients, but unfortunately, Visen really likes it.

"Drink less, it's not good for your health." Feibos reminded him worriedly, nagging like a little bug, "I might not be back before dinner. I've already set up the housekeeper bug's cooking program, so remember to eat."

"Hmm." Vincent didn't even look up, giving a short reply.

"Don't set the temperature too low, I turned it up a little." Feibos checked the temperature control system and other parts of the house, not wanting to be too cold.

Unable to stand his "harassment," Vison put down her pen, looked up at him, and said helplessly, "Okay, male mom."

She used to live a rough and carefree life, but now she's completely changed. She's careful in everything she does, making meticulous arrangements for every single thing, afraid that the other person might feel even the slightest bit uncomfortable.

Feibos pursed his lips and said nothing more, afraid of annoying him.

But they really resembled a young couple deeply in love, experiencing separation anxiety. Just as they were about to turn and leave home, they couldn't help but touch the black hair that had fallen along with Vincent's weary expression, and whispered, "Message me if anything happens."

With a look of helplessness in his eyes, Vison repeatedly assured him that he would take good care of himself and that he would let him know if anything happened before pushing him out of the house.

He watched Fipos walk away, his figure tall and straight, like silent and steady mountains. Sunlight fell on his shoulders and spread in front of him, the badge reflecting a dazzling light, like his dazzling identity and future.

This insect should have a smooth and glorious life, and should not be tormented by illness. The things it has accomplished with blood should not only pave the way for others.

A faint smile appeared in Vison's eyes.

Without the interference and temptation of the "male mother," Vison successfully completed the homework assigned by his teacher, Visabain. After sending the homework back, he left a brief message saying "Go to school tomorrow" and unilaterally turned off Visabain's message notifications.

He hasn't been to school for a long time, and his computer communication has been constantly bombarded by Visa White. His message box is overflowing. If it weren't for his timely assignments and the innovative ideas and designs he submits, his teacher would have come knocking on his door.

It's true that male beauty can be a trap.

After Vison collected the last payment, he heard the sound of the door closing.

Vincent looked up, rubbed his neck, and saw Feppos taking off his cloak, his eyes showing a hint of fatigue.

"Visen." He met his eyes and called him softly, his eyebrows and eyes relaxing in response.

I rushed as fast as I could and finally got back before dinner.

This was the first meal that Feibos had eaten in many years. He had been relying on cold, nutrient solutions for years, and for him, eating was simply a waste of time.

But now, warm yellow light spills onto the off-white tabletop, and a handsome male insect with black hair, red lips, and white teeth sits next to him. It's clear that he's in a good mood today, probably thanks to the spicy dishes.

A slight smile appeared on Fipose's lips; spending some time eating seemed not so bad after all.

Both of them were quiet and reserved, and not knowing what to say to each other, they simply ate their meal in silence.

Occasionally, Feppus would serve Vison food and remove fish bones for him. Although Vison tried to stop him by saying that he wasn't a little bug, he didn't succeed and instead received a small bowl of fish meat that was completely boneless.

I seem even happier now.

As Fei Pos watched Vison take the bowl and take a bite, his beautiful eyes narrowed slightly in satisfaction, and Fei Pos thought to himself.

Why is this insect staring at him?

As that gaze moved, Vincent seemed to feel a corresponding burning sensation on his skin.

He felt a little uncomfortable under that gaze, so he changed the subject: "Did everything go well for you today?"

Filhod was taken aback, not expecting Vison to ask... he hadn't expected him to care.

He remained silent for a long time, like a test-taker who had received a very difficult exam but had not studied at all.

It was clearly a worm that could barely be described as "sharp-toothed and sharp-tongued" in public, but now it seemed a little at a loss.

There was something unusual about it, thought Fipos.

When he returned to his post, he carried the scent of glaciers—a scent instantly recognizable as coming from a male insect. Considering his early end to his vacation, the insects close to him, besides showing concern for him, also gave him teasing looks. Of course, many insects also inquired with ill intent.

But most of the insects thought that he was about to have a good time, because the male was a newly identified SS-level male insect.

Fipos overheard some whispers, but he neither admitted nor refuted them. Even if he did refute them, it would indirectly suggest that he and Lord Vincent had some ambiguous relationship, which was probably not what Vincent wanted.

Ignoring it is best; he wouldn't respond to these things anyway.

There's no need to tell him about these trivial matters and upset him.

Putting that aside, nothing went wrong with the insects during his vacation, and everything went smoothly.

The "examinee" thought carefully for a long time before finally filling in their answer with utmost caution.

"It went smoothly."

Vincent was surprised that after thinking in silence for so long, he could only manage to utter these three words. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but then closed it again.

It seems they might not be suited for this kind of conversation.

Finally, Vincent, mimicking Fipose's concise manner, said, "Okay, that's fine."

But Fipos was completely oblivious to the subtle implications, and even thought he had passed the "exam" with a high score, so he visibly breathed a sigh of relief.

Vison leaned against the cabinet, watching Feppos do the post-dinner cleanup.

At this moment, Fei Bosi changed into soft home clothes, his long silver hair was tied into a casual low ponytail, and the warm yellow light shone down from above, making even his tall shadow appear exceptionally soft.

Visen stood there for a long time, thinking of a few words that his team members used to mutter when they read novels, which were quite suitable for Feibosi now.

Hmm, it's kind of like an enhanced version of a gentle, older man.

Just then, the "gentle man" walked towards him, looking at him with some confusion: "Why don't you go sit down?"

The shadow completely enveloped him, and he suddenly realized that this was not a gentle male college student at all, but a dangerous female soldier.

But he reached out and pulled Feppos close, giving him a light, gentle kiss.

Vison had never imagined what life with a partner would be like, but now it seems that's what it is.

It's not bad, no, I should say it's very good.

Vison thought to himself.

He suddenly remembered that at first, he thought that if he got him, he would lose his obsession with Fipose, let go of his obsession, and stop liking him.

But just one day later, he found himself, somewhat desperately, even more attached to the place.

I cherish this life, and I also cherish... Fipese.

...Can he really let go of him?

The author notes: When I was writing this, I was still debating whether insects eat fish or not...

I hope you won't dwell on this (heart).
