Chapter 144 Transaction

After unloading a few boxes of cargo, Dolap took out a pre-packed handbag from the corner of the spacecraft.

This is a gift for a director of the immigration office.

The office director was promoted from a nearby indigenous civilization, which had just mastered faster-than-light travel technology and was currently a protectorate of the Galactic Alliance.

Although nominally a protectorate, they still had autonomy within their jurisdiction, so immigration and exit matters were naturally left to them to handle.

Originally, Dolap was going to do this with Lao Li, but Lao Li happened to eat sprouted potatoes and is now growing sick.

So the task of accompanying others fell on the first mate.

Dolap really didn't want to take him with him, not because he disliked him, but because this guy was really not very smart, or what is commonly known as having no sense.

"Come on, come on, when we get there, don't say anything extra. Just follow my eyes."

"Don't worry, brother."

The first mate made a zippering motion with his hand to his lips.

"I'll keep my mouth shut. Let's not talk."

Contrary to its literal meaning, the immigration office here does not refer to a house, but a building.

Since this site serves multiple indigenous civilizations, each civilization has its own entry and exit management methods.

In order to facilitate unified management, all of them were concentrated in one building, and a separate building was set aside for entry and exit procedures.

"3012, right here."

After confirming the house number was correct, Dolap knocked on the door twice.

"Come in."

There was an immediate response from behind the door.

Dolap pushed the door open and walked in.

This is a medium-sized office with a simple and warm decoration style.

The house is full of wood. The floor is yellow wooden floor and the walls are covered with wooden panels. Only the ceiling retains its original white color.

A warm light illuminates the entire room, and several spotlights shine on the wall to add embellishment.

There was a wooden bookshelf against the wall, and next to it was a wooden desk. A young man with fiery red hair was sitting at the desk, waiting for Dolap to arrive.

This person is Director Tang, the immigration director of Akrong No. 1 civilization.

It has to be said that the Galactic Alliance is still very biased in the promotion of candidates. Indigenous civilizations that can accept FTL technology are most likely intelligent human life, and at the very least they are third-level intelligent beings like the Lalon people to whom Dolap belongs.

As for other life forms, we cannot say that they do not exist, but the threshold will be greatly increased.

"Hello, Director Tang."

As soon as Dolap came up, he enthusiastically extended his hands to shake hands with Director Tang.

After seeing this, the latter naturally understood who the person in front of him was.

"Mr. Dolap, right? I've heard a lot about you."

Director Tang also stretched out his hands to shake hands with Dolap, then let go and turned to the first mate next to him.

The first mate shook his hand absentmindedly.

"Hey, Director Tang, you're just kidding. How could I be so famous?"

Dolap quickly diverted his attention.

"How could that be? I've checked, and you're the biggest taxpayer on this space station. Part of the money that goes into my pocket comes from you."

"Just trying to make a living."

Dolap waved his hand, took the handbag from the first mate and handed it to Director Tang.

"This is a little local specialty. I'll take it as a thank you for helping me so much this time."

"Hey - what are you talking about? Our duty is to serve everyone."

Director Tang was so happy when he saw the bag full of oranges, but then he changed the subject and expressed embarrassment.

"But I have a lot of people under me, so I'm afraid these oranges aren't enough to share."

"I understand. I understand."

Dolap nodded repeatedly, took out a memory card from his pocket and handed it over.

"Here's the recipe. Follow the instructions and you'll be able to eat as much as you want, no matter how many people you have under you."

“I do.”

Director Tang put away the memory card and the smile on his face became even brighter.

He took out a cigarette from under the table and handed it to Dolap.

"This is a specialty of our planet. Take it as a gift."

As soon as Dolap saw the brand of cigarettes, he immediately became excited.

"That's a generous gesture, Director Tang! I'll definitely accept it if you say so."

"receive."

Director Tang waved his hand.

"It's not much. This kind of thing is just expensive on the market, but the actual cost is not that much. If you like it, I'll get you a few more later."

"Then I must thank you first."

After leaving the office, the first mate couldn't hold it in any longer before he had gone far.

He had a lot of questions to ask when he was in the office, but every time he opened his mouth, Dolap would hit him back with his hand under the table.

"No, you have to explain it to me, otherwise I will feel uncomfortable."

Dolap stopped and looked at him.

"Want to know the secrets here?"

"Of course I did."

The first mate nodded repeatedly.

"Come with me."

Dolap took him into a small alley on the side of the road, then took out the cigarette from his pocket and threw it to him.

"Open it. Open every box."

The first mate spread out a newspaper on the ground and asked blankly while unwrapping a cigarette box.

"So, we're just going to send Director Tang packing with a bag of oranges?"
