"But what we have to watch out for now is soap bubbles." The commander-in-chief interrupted Dr. Max at the right time, and used the latter to guide the topic back to the right direction if something happened.
"The physical properties of this bubble are currently unclear, but one thing is certain. This space bubble has crossed the reality barrier of this universe and is very close to the subspace."
"Like this." The doctor moved the patch representing the subspace for the third time. But this time he didn't move it to another place, but simply pressed it down a few centimeters.
After pressing down, the bottom of the dough overlaps with the top of the space bubble.
"Those purple clouds have strong subspatial properties. So we speculate that this bubble probably doesn't have its own spatial barrier, or the spatial barrier is very weak, so the subspatial matter is leaking into this bubble."
"But what causes bubbles?" Bai Yi asked.
"That's a very good question." Dr. Max looked at him appreciatively.
"We conducted an in-depth discussion and analysis on the causes of space bubbles, and ultimately came to the conclusion that..."
"have no idea."
These three words made all the border guards present drop their jaws in shock.
"have no idea?"
"That's right, I don't know." Dr. Max continued with a normal expression.
"The bubbles could be some rare, unknown natural phenomenon, or they could be man-made."
"If it's the former, then everything is fine, but if it's the latter..."
He didn't continue speaking, but everyone's face was solemn, and everyone knew what this meant.
If, as the doctor said, this space bubble was artificially created, then the creatures that created it must have possessed far more advanced technology than the Galactic Alliance. At least in terms of space, the Galactic Alliance's attainments were far inferior to theirs.
Seeing that everyone present remained silent, the commander-in-chief dropped another bombshell.
He pushed all the existing projections aside and opened another video file from a folder nearby.
The video was short and filled with static, but it shocked everyone more than all the previous footage combined.
The picture was still taken by the Apollo-class stealth special forces ship, but this time it had gone deep into the purple mist.
The spaceship sailed through the disorienting fog, but suddenly it landed in a clear area. There was no purple fog in this area. Instead, the fog seemed to have hit an invisible, intangible glass curtain wall. Layer upon layer, it piled up outside this invisible wall, unable to move forward any further.
However, compared to the unique nature of this area, it was the things within it that attracted more attention. This airspace was filled with countless crystal spaceships, which densely packed the entire screen.
The sizes of these spacecraft vary greatly. The largest one is not much different from the Galactic Alliance's dreadnought, and the smallest one is not even as big as a light frigate.
But judging by the situation at the scene, all the crystals, including the Dreadnought-class crystal spacecraft, could only serve as guards. They were guarding a super crystal so massive it was impossible to measure.
The Apollo-class appears exactly at one end of the crystal, while the other end of the crystal disappears at the end of the picture. Preliminary estimates put the total length at over 100 km.
This super crystal was distinctly different from all nearby crystal ships. While ordinary crystal ships had uneven surfaces covered in chaotic clusters of purple crystals, this super crystal, on the other hand, was remarkably smooth, with no sharp edges or corners, and a streamlined shape. Its color wasn't the usual purple, but white, with a texture somewhat resembling that of mica.
On this smooth white transparent surface, blue-purple light flashes from time to time. These lights move from one end of the crystal to the other, and then move back from the other end.
"Is this... a spaceship?" a border guard asked hesitantly.
"It's highly likely." Maxbo took a sip from the water glass beside him and continued, "Although we haven't seen any signs of the super crystal moving in the images so far, the frequency of the energy it emits matches the typical characteristics of a Crystal Storm spacecraft. Because of its uniqueness, we've named it 'Feima'."
"Feima?" Ansunya was puzzled by the name. "Is there any story behind this name?"
"No." Dr. Max shook his head. "This is the name of a researcher's pet dog."
"So what should we do now?" Bai Yi asked. As he asked the question, half of the people's eyes fell on Dr. Max's face, and the other half focused their attention on the commander-in-chief.
"Wait and see." The commander-in-chief said these four words without any hesitation.
Bai Yi was very puzzled.
Perhaps sensing the confusion in the eyes of the participants, the commander-in-chief explained.
"There's only so much we can do right now. Before Apollo sends back more data, we can only hurry and prepare for war. Rather than wasting our time on this, we should hurry and complete the construction of the stargate network."
Bai Yi nodded.
That's right. Anyway, judging by the distance, even if that super crystal really intended to attack Galaxy, it wouldn't jump here all of a sudden.
According to the spatial form of the subspace in that area, the other party will most likely return along the path taken by the Sun God class and arrive at another fortress galaxy thousands of light-years away from Bai Yi.
The Galactic Alliance had obviously anticipated this. To minimize the risk, the Second Fleet of the Pan-Galactic United Fleet urgently dispatched a large construction corps to the fortress system.
The stargate in that area had been built long ago, and a legion from the First Fleet of the Combined Fleet was already stationed behind the gate. Once the tachyon detectors detected the subspace fluctuations caused by the crystal invasion, this legion would be able to quickly reach the front line through the stargate network.
Although the Crystal Storm could travel faster through the Warp than the Galactic Alliance, the Galactic Alliance's stargate network was also extremely efficient. Coupled with the advantage in early warning, this legion was confident that it could reach the target fortress system and complete its deployment before the enemy completely left the Warp.
"This matter sounds like a big deal, but it doesn't seem to have much to do with me." Bai Yi scratched his head with a helpless look on his face.
The battlefield is not on his side. If a war really breaks out, he will be of no help with his current abilities.
Bai Yi thought about it and felt that apart from helping to repair the star gate, there seemed to be nothing else worth worrying about.
