Chapter 105

Chapter 105

The day after their wedding night.

Toto learned that his female father was still alive, and he had already adjusted his mindset when he spoke to him.

After the video call connected, the father and son stared at each other for a while. Then, Sorim coughed twice and asked, "How is your father?"

"very good."

Toto remained expressionless.

After a long separation, the little insect had grown up and looked both strange and familiar. Solim was a little excited, but the grown-up insect seemed much more indifferent. His fatherly instinct made him want to get close to him, but he was also too awkward to explain. He was used to being tough and making his own decisions. He knew he was not wrong, but when facing Toto, he couldn't help but feel guilty.

Sorim scratched his head: "Are you angry?"

"No."

Toto said expressionlessly, "I'm not angry. Why would I be angry?"

The atmosphere froze at this point. The tall, aloof female soldier, her gaze darting around, felt extremely guilty, yet she had no choice but to bite the bullet and initiate communication with the insect cub: "I heard from you that you are going to marry him?"

"Yeah?"

Toto asked in return, his expression blank.

Now, not only Sorim, but even the commander who was openly lingering in the living room felt a sense of foreboding.

Sorim glanced at the slightly stiff commander, then at his own unyielding insectoid offspring, and hesitated before saying, "Isn't that so?"

Sorim knew very well how sensible and obedient his insect cub was. It never caused him any trouble. No matter how big or small the matter was, it understood immediately and was also well-behaved and cute, and always considerate of its insects.

Sorim had never seen Toto's sneer before, but now he had.

Fortunately, the sneer wasn't directed at him. Toto didn't look at Sorim, but turned his gaze to Fei, his voice barely concealing his anger: "Commander, you've been hiding this from me all along?"

Why, why did you have to confess to me the very next day, after everything had settled? Because I knew you would forgive me?

Toregia's feigned calmness failed. He kept rubbing his temples, trying to make himself feel better, but his voice still sounded a bit nasal. Fei tried to put his arm around his shoulder, but Toto quickly shook him off.

Sorim tried to explain for Fei: "Toto."

Toto turned around quickly, his dark gray eyes filled with both anger and sadness: "And Father, Father, you... you've never thought about me at all."

The atmosphere suffocated the insects.

As the conversation progressed to the latter half, Sorim looked at the insect cub with its back to him, feeling extremely sad. Sorim rarely took the initiative to explain anything to Toto, and this time was no exception. He couldn't explain why he had suddenly decided to chase after that spaceship, and why, since he was alive, he hadn't come to his wedding.

When Sorim didn't know how to explain it, the grown-up, unfamiliar male insect transformed back into the familiar insect cub he knew, the one that wouldn't resent him and Enoch and that kept the house in perfect order.

Toto took a few deep breaths, sniffed, and looked listless and helpless, as if he hated himself for being soft-hearted but couldn't bring himself to be ruthless: "When...when are you coming back?"

Sorim suddenly felt sad. He suppressed the stinging in his nose and eyes, turned his head and roughly rubbed his cheeks: "It will be soon."

He said he was too busy and apologized for not being able to come back for Toto's wedding.

This statement sounded heartless and cold, but Toto didn't feel much of it. He just felt used to it. He inquired about his female father's health and work, and reminded him to be careful. After two minutes of silence between the two insects, Toto prepared to hang up.

Sorim suddenly called out his name.

The father, who wasn't good at expressing himself, stammered, his voice hoarse: "You... are doing well, and I'm glad. I was a prisoner of war and did a lot of bad things. I wasn't very good to you when I came to the Federation. Don't worry about me, just live a good life. I've made a lot of money outside, and you can use it to buy whatever you like. Your father has family to take care of him, so you don't need to worry about him anymore. Just live your own life well."

For the first time, he tried to explain, while no longer making any demands on his insect offspring, nor saying things like "I miss you" or "I care about you."

He was used to treating Toto as an independent adult insect, and he told him not to cry and not to give up.

He asked him to take care of the family, telling him that he was very busy and that he was leaving the rest to him.

He left the food behind, then hurriedly left with his baggage, barely staying with him, but he could feel Toto's love for him and Enoch.

I wonder what kind of luck she had.

Sorim sometimes thinks that he can't raise such a worm.

But he couldn't say anything nice. When he decided to trade his life for Toto's future, he didn't leave a single word. He made a simple decision and did it.

If Toto never forgives him, Sorim won't be so sad. He feels he hasn't done well, neither as a father nor as a friend. But before he decides to confess, Toto asks him, "When are you coming back?"

Sorim felt that perhaps he had initially considered the wrong direction; that Toto's life would not necessarily be better after he gained status and power.

He looked at Toto, and Toto looked back at him, his eyes slightly red, and they remained silent for a long while.

"Father, come back soon."

The video call ended.

Toto stood up from the sofa. Fei, who had been listening silently, opened his arms, wanting to hug him, but was stopped by the male insect's fingers.

Although Toto didn't say anything about regretting the marriage, Fei could clearly sense that his young partner was angry. On the first day of their marriage, he didn't want to talk to his wife or communicate with her. At night, he turned his back to her and didn't want to touch her.

As soon as he got home, he went straight into his study and closed the door. Fei sat in the living room for a long time but didn't see him come out. He walked around the room for a while, then took a hot drink and knocked on the door.

Toto opened the door, his face expressionless: "Is there something you need?"

Fei choked for a moment, then lowered his eyes and smiled slightly: "I just wanted to ask you, Merck bought some new tea, would you like to try it?"

"Thank you, sir, but no need."

The door slammed shut, leaving Fei holding a teacup, staring blankly at the door.

During the meal, Toto kept looking at his terminal the whole time, and Fei couldn't help but remind him, "Torregia, this isn't good for your health."

Toto put down his cutlery and stood up: "I'm full, sir."

Fei glanced at the remaining food, his gaze darkening slightly. He hesitated for a moment, then called out to the male insect leaving the table, "Tregear!"

Toto turned around, expressionless. Fei took a deep breath, his expression cold: "Are you going to keep talking to me like this?"

Toto paused for a moment, then closed the terminal: "What else? Or would you rather I deceive you?"

Fiji:"……"

Suddenly, his back bent.

Fei believed that he was older and could fully accept his younger partner's anger. At first, he was able to remain calm and did not force Toto to communicate with him.

But as the Cold War dragged on, Fei's calm mindset gradually began to change.

The high-intensity work, coupled with anxiety and a completely irregular schedule, led to Fei's first illness and hospitalization as an adult.

The guard officer was very worried that the commander's condition would affect his work, but when the doctor asked if he wanted to use the treatment pod, the commander refused.

"No, and no medication is needed."

Fei calmly changed into his hospital gown, lay on the bed coughing, interlaced his fingers, and asked the female insect doctor, "You can contact your family now."

Although the female insect doctor did not understand your thoughts, she adhered to the principle of speaking less and doing more, and did not ask any questions. She contacted your family members, and a moment later, she returned to her room.

"Your Mightiness."

Fei was looking at the terminal: "When is he coming?"

Female insect doctor: "Your... family has renewed the fee for your ward and said that you don't need to rush, you can slowly recover before going home."

Fiji:"……"

Before the next day, the commander returned home that evening. Although he looked pale, he did not appear to be in any major condition.

Toto, wearing comfortable slippers and holding a teacup, glanced at the Commander and gestured casually, "There's tea on the table."

Fei let out a soft breath. Faced with his young partner, he felt helpless. He took off his hat and gave a soft "hmm".

At night, Toto once again fell asleep with his back to him.

Toto could feel your breathing. He wasn't asleep, but Toto was clutching the blanket and didn't want to talk to you or pay any attention to you.

Toto could feel the female insect tossing and turning in the same bed, and he hummed inwardly, yawned, and prepared to go to sleep.

After a while, a large hand gently supported Toto's waist, while the other hand wrapped around Toto's shoulder and back. The hot breath made Toto's ears turn red.

Toto suddenly turned around, nudging him with both hands and feet, his eyes glancing down at the female insect in the darkness: "What?"

"Torregia."

In the darkness, the female insect's voice was low, with a hint of barely perceptible loss at the end. He wanted to hug Toto, but Toto kicked him, trying to create distance. However, the female insect's strength was not on the same level as the male insect's.

Toto angrily placed his hand on the female insect's chest and pushed her away: "No."

"Toto".

This sound made Toto hesitate for a moment, her face turning slightly red. Toto covered Fei's mouth, her voice stern but her tone weak: "You're not allowed to call that name in bed."

The trembling at the end of her voice didn't escape Fei's ears. The female insect chuckled softly, her voice low yet light and airy, as alluring as a feather: "Don't be angry with me anymore. I apologize."

Although the female insect's movements were domineering, they were actually very gentle. Her breath sprayed onto Toto's head, and she sniffed all the way from his ear to the tip of his nose. With each movement, she would whisper an apology in Toto's ear.

Toto pushed twice more, but this time with much less force, and was eventually completely embraced by the female insect. Toto rested his head on the female insect's pectoral muscles, listening to her heartbeat, without making a sound.

In the darkness, the female insect sighed softly: "I never imagined that your distancing yourself from me would make me so sad."

Toto snorted and bit the other's pectoral muscle.

Flexible and elastic.

Toto's face was slightly flushed.

"From now on, no matter what happens, you can never lie to me again."

"No," the deep voice trailed off, alluring, and Fei hugged him tightly: "Never again."

After hearing this, Toto reached out and hugged him back without saying a word.
