After seeing the iron box, many images emerged in her mind.
Unfortunately, the picture flashed too quickly and she didn't catch it.
The key to unlocking memories may be in the iron box...
Xu Manxing stared at the iron box intently and slowly reached out to cover it.
Squeak—the old iron box made a slight creaking sound.
The rusty iron box was also rusty inside. The box was not big and contained a broken doll, a hair ornament, some small toys and a small ruler.
Xu Manxing stared at the doll that had lost an eyeball with a flickering look in his eyes.
The image of her jumping for joy when Xu's mother handed her the rabbit appeared in her mind.
As she looked at the toys, childhood memories emerged one by one in her mind.
Just as she took everything out, she found a ruler at the bottom of the box.
She looked at the ruler, her expression gradually becoming one of fear.
The whole person fell into great panic.
Why aren't you listening?! Why?! How can a lady do that?! Have you forgotten what I taught you?!
Snap! Snap!
The palms of my hands are aching, and I can hear the cries of grievance in my ears.
Xu Manxing bit her lips tightly, tears welling up in her eyes.
"How could it be? It's impossible..."
The memory came suddenly and she covered her head in pain. Finally, she fainted because she couldn't bear these memories.
bump--
She collapsed onto the green grass, despite the surroundings being nice and lush.
But staying here unconscious is not a solution.
This is Rong Yuanhe's side.
He patiently studied by himself for a long time. After a while, Xu Manxing didn't come back, and his calm eyes gradually became restless.
Nothing will happen, right?
Rong Yuanhe looked at his watch and saw that almost half an hour had passed. He finally decided to go find Pu Ye and the others.
He didn't have Xu Manxing's phone number, so Pu Ye had to call.
"How could that be!"
When Pu Ye heard the news, he became anxious and immediately took out his cell phone to call Xu Manxing.
But the phone showed no one answered.
Xu Yiran, who was standing by, also sent a message to Xu Manxing but received no response.
He looked at the chat history that stopped half an hour ago and suddenly had an idea.
"She might be at the goddess statue in the north! Let's go over and take a look."
The situation was urgent and Pu Ye didn't have time to think about where he knew it from, and quickly ran over there.
Because there were three statues of goddesses standing on the north side, the three of them had to search separately. They agreed to call each other if there was any situation and quickly left in different directions.
In broad daylight, they didn't think it would be murder.
Rong Yuanhe also added that Xu Manxing had just left with a worried look on his face.
Rong Yuanhe watched Pu Ye and the other person running towards the nearest statue of the goddess, and then he walked to the statue at the edge.
Because he was worried about Xu Manxing's safety, he didn't dare to be too leisurely and jogged all the way to his destination.
He soon noticed a person lying on the lawn in the distance.
Rong Yuanhe looked at the figure and felt that it was Xu Manxing. He quickly ran over to him, looked at the unconscious Xu Manxing, squatted down, stretched out his hand and shook him gently.
"Xu Manxing, Xu Manxing, wake up."
Just as Rong Yuanhe was about to call an ambulance, Xu Manxing finally opened his eyes in a daze.
"Rong Yuanhe, why are you here?"
Xu Manxing looked at Rong Yuanhe, who had a nervous look on his face, and rubbed his forehead in confusion.
"You just left for a long time and didn't come back. We couldn't get through to you on the phone, so the three of us came out to look for you."
He gave a brief explanation, and seeing that Xu Manxing was fine, he took out his cell phone and prepared to tell Pu Ye and the others.
"Are you okay? Why did you faint here?"
"I'm fine. I fainted from low blood sugar."
After Xu Manxing remembered what happened, he quickly looked around nervously. Seeing that the iron box was still there, he nervously took it and put it in his arms, then began to cover the pile of soil back to the ground.
"Please keep everything you saw a secret until they arrive."
She lowered her head and blinked frantically to hide her urge to cry.
Rong Yuanhe looked at Xu Manxing, who seemed a little strange, and responded in a low voice without asking any questions.
"Wipe it off, there's blood on your cheek."
He looked at Xu Manxing's dusty and scratchy cheeks and took out a pack of tissues from his bag.
"Thanks."
Xu Manxing looked at Rong Yuanhe who handed her the paper again, bowed her head to thank him, held the tissue and wanted to stand up, but she didn't expect that because of the wrong posture when she was unconscious just now, one of her legs was numb.
"careful."
Rong Yuanhe looked at the unsteady Xu Manxing and reached out to hold her arm.
"Thank you, my legs are a little numb."
Xu Manxing used his strength to slowly hold on to the tree and took some time to recover.
After she recovered, she opened the tissue and wiped her face.
Xu Manxing, who had been suppressing his emotions, suddenly burst into tears when he saw the bloodstains on the tissue.
She couldn't stop crying when she thought of what she had just seen in the box.
"Rong Yuanhe, please ask them to wait for me at their previous location."
She held back her tears and changed her words to Rong Yuanhe.
She didn't want Xu Yiran and the others to see her like this.
Rong Yuanhe looked at Xu Manxing who suddenly burst into tears silently, looked at her red eyes and nodded without asking any other questions.
After getting the assurance, Xu Manxing raised his hand to wipe it while limping away with the box in his arms.
Rong Yuanhe stood there and typed a few words on his phone. Looking at Xu Manxing who was unsteady, he caught up with her in a few steps.
"Come up."
Seeing that Xu Manxing didn't move, he added another sentence.
"At your speed, they'll be here soon."
When Xu Manxing heard this, he ignored his hesitation and moved closer.
"Thanks."
She seemed to have been saying thank you all the time.
She thought a little frustratedly, and after saying this she didn't speak again. She kept her head down and held the iron box tightly in her arms.
