The next day.
After waking up, Min Manxing patted his cheeks in a somewhat groggy state.
It’s really cold in winter.
She felt the coldness on her back and quickly got out of bed and put on her coat.
The expression on her face was calm now, no longer as anxious as yesterday.
Eat dumplings in the morning.
She saw that there were only a few balls of yarn left in the bag, so she left the rental house wrapped in the scarf Wei Xing had given her.
She had been planning to buy some wool, but when she stood on the street and saw that most of the shops were closed, she realized that they had all closed for their families.
She looked at the deserted streets, lowered her head, wrapped her scarf tightly around her, and walked slowly back along the street.
She missed her grandmother a little.
She lowered her eyelashes and tried hard to suppress the bitterness in her heart.
When she got home and had nothing to do, she saw that Wei Xing didn't look for her. Not knowing what they could talk about, she didn't dare to disturb him easily. In the end, she just started writing the test paper.
I heard from the teacher that there are scholarships for students with good grades.
If she always stays at the top of the grade, she should be able to have it, right?
She would never feel so lonely normally, but maybe because she knew it was Chinese New Year, she felt the house was eerily quiet.
In order to relieve her emotions, she deliberately kept herself busy, either writing test papers or knitting sweaters. She was afraid that if she stopped, she would not be able to help but have wild thoughts.
Two days passed in a flash.
On the third day of the junior high school entrance examination, there was a knock on Min Manxing's door after a long absence.
"who?"
Min Manxing looked at the regular knocks on the door, feeling a little wary and a little expectant.
Could it be her parents?
QQ.
There was no answer from outside, and there was another knock on the door.
Min Manxing looked at the situation, hesitated for a long time, and then quietly opened a crack.
Strangely, there was no one outside the house, only a little bear doll holding a heart placed at the door.
She felt a little puzzled by the situation and looked around carefully.
Then she saw Wei Xing standing in the distance, smiling and greeting her.
"Why are you back?!"
She looked at Wei Xing with surprise and joy in her eyes.
To be honest, she didn't think about Wei Xing just now because she felt it was impossible.
Otherwise, she would rather it was Wei Xing who came, rather than her parents.
Anyway, her parents haven't thought about her in the past ten years.
Although she missed them, it was just a miss and she would not disturb their new life.
But Wei Xing is different. These days, she can only fall asleep after hearing the good night messages Wei Xing sent her.
She really wanted to see Wei Xing, but it was Chinese New Year and she couldn't ask Wei Xing to come back.
"Those relatives don't usually contact each other, so it's boring to visit them. Anyway, I've already seen my grandfather, so I might as well come back."
Wei Xing looked at Min Manxing's happy expression and was glad that he had done the right thing.
"Oh, that's too early."
Min Manxing said hesitantly.
"Oh, it's not early at all. I thought it was late. It's not as comfortable to live there as here."
He waved his hand and spoke casually.
In fact, the solution to the problem was far from as easy as he said. He was not allowed to leave until after the seventh day of the New Year, and he even had several arguments with his father in order to leave early.
In the end, he left the old house early with the support of his grandfather.
"oh."
When Min Manxing heard this, he didn't know what to say and finally nodded silently.
She actually wanted to ask, why did he come to see her?
But she didn't dare.
"Haha, Manxing, I haven't seen you for a few days. You're still so silly. Here's a New Year's gift."
Wei Xing looked at the dazed Min Manxing, bent down, picked up the teddy bear and handed it to her.
"Look how nice I am to you. I even brought you a gift. You should be nicer to me."
His original intention was just to find an excuse to give the gift away, but he didn't expect Min Manxing to look at him seriously when he heard this.
"Wei Xing, I also have a gift for you."
"Oh wow! I have a gift!"
He looked into Min Manxing's eyes with some surprise, not expecting there would be an unexpected surprise.
After all, neither of them mentioned giving New Year's gifts.
Min Manxing reached out to take the teddy bear and opened the door to let Wei Xing in.
"Of course, we are friends."
But I don't want to be just friends.
Wei Xing refuted reluctantly in his heart.
"This is a gift I prepared, but you can open it when you get back."
Min Manxing didn't know what Wei Xing was muttering in his mind. She handed the bag to him and saw him about to open it, so she spoke in time.
She felt a little embarrassed to let Wei Xing open the gift in front of her.
"Huh? Well, Manxing is still being weird and mysterious."
Wei Xing looked at the embarrassed Min Manxing and said nothing else. He resisted the urge to open the bag and put it down again.
"Where are your parents?"
He asked after sitting in the room for a while.
"They are busy with work and have already gone back."
Min Manxing didn't want Wei Xing to sympathize with her, so she didn't tell the truth.
"I see..."
He looked around the living room and didn't find any extra gift boxes. He was a little suspicious of what Min Manxing said, but he didn't ask too much.
"You don't have classes these few days, so let's go for a walk. It's boring to stay at home all day."
Wei Xing turned his watch and spoke.
After all, going out for a walk is conducive to the development of relationships.
"good."
Min Manxing nodded without any objection. There was nothing fun to do at her house.
Soon the two of them appeared on the street, wrapped tightly.
Wei Xing looked at the boring streets and racked his brains to think of where to take Min Manxing.
Suddenly he saw people selling fireworks on a street corner in the distance, and his eyes lit up.
"Let's buy some too and put them on display tonight!"
“Hey~”
Before Min Manxing wanted to say something, Wei Xing excitedly grabbed her wrist and ran over.
