The sky was grey, the clouds were thick and messy, and there was not a trace of blue sky in sight. Under such a sky are dark green mountains. At the foot of the mountain is a dark green forest. Closer, there is a large grassland mixed with dark yellow, light yellow, grass green and flowers of various colors.
A gray and white road is right in front of you.
There was a light drizzle in the sky and the wind started to pick up. There were a few sheep on the side of the road, chewing grass despite the wind and rain, and looking up at You Mingxu.
You Mingxu didn't expect that it would be so cold in Tibet in June. She only wore a pair of waterproof pants and a windbreaker over her T-shirt. Her long hair was tied into a ponytail and covered by a helmet. Despite the cold, she maintained a steady pace on her cross-country bike.
There was no one around.
She looked up at the sky again, then looked down at the watch. That was it for today, maybe she should find a place to rest.
But this area is remote and sparsely populated, and only a few hikers would go there. She rode for a while and it was already past four in the afternoon. The sky had grown darker and the mountainside was gloomy. The raindrops are getting bigger.
You Mingxu was tired and a little hungry, so he parked his bike on the side of the road, took out some chocolate and sausages from his backpack, and ate them slowly.
She stopped for more than ten minutes and only one car passed by. Local license plate, very old. The driver was a middle-aged man. You Mingxu waved to him to get a ride, but he sped away as if he didn't see him.
You Mingxu didn't care. He leaned against a tree by the roadside and continued eating his cold sausages.
After a while, a motorcycle came from afar, with a young man with long hair sitting on it. You Mingxu looked at him motionlessly. The young man had dark skin and was wearing a denim jacket. He looked a little cunning, and his eyes were circling around You Mingxu.
He stopped beside her car, stared at her and asked, "Where are you going?"
At this time, You Mingxu heard the sound of a car, glanced back, and saw another car driving towards him. It was drizzling and the car lights were on, so for a moment she couldn't see the person in the driver's seat.
She raised her chin forward, indicating her direction to the young man on the motorbike.
The young man on the motorcycle asked again: "Are you alone?"
You Mingxu smiled and answered, "No, there are a few companions. They are behind me. I ride faster."
The young man's eyes were a little deep, he said nothing, his hands were on the handlebars of the motorcycle, and he didn't move. At this time, the car coming from behind passed by them at a steady speed. You Mingxu looked past the young man on the motorcycle and saw a young man through the car window dotted with water droplets. His skin is quite white and his features don't look like those of a local. He has a crew cut and distinct facial features. He was also wearing a black windbreaker, with a slightly raised collar, revealing a small part of his neck and Adam's apple. Quite handsome, in a tough, masculine way.
The young man on the motorbike also turned around and looked at the man driving the car for a few seconds, with no expression on his face.
You Mingxu grabbed the head of the bicycle, jumped on it quickly and wanted to leave. Who knew that the young man on the motorcycle was probably a shepherd or hunter, or had done a lot of similar things, and his reaction was very quick. He leaned over and grabbed the front of her motorcycle with one hand, and reached for the bag on her back with his other hand.
It turned out to be a robber.
You Mingxu glared at him fiercely and gritted his teeth trying to break free. The two of them immediately started to fight. The car in front has already driven over a hundred meters away, so it might be difficult to notice the situation behind. You Mingxu made up his mind, hugged his backpack and shouted: "Let go! Let go! Help... Robbery! Help..."
The young man on the motorcycle showed his vicious face. He punched You Mingxu in the face and cursed viciously: "You want to die! Shut up and stop shouting!" You Mingxu reacted quickly and dodged the punch in a very embarrassed manner. The young man took advantage of the situation and grabbed her wrist, but was stunned for a moment. He felt her wrist was unusually soft and smooth. When he looked at her face carefully, his heart trembled.
The young man felt a little angry and wanted to do something else. He simply dropped his motorcycle and stopped trying to snatch her bag. He grabbed her shoulders with both hands and pushed her behind the trees, saying with a half-smile on his face, "Why are you hiding? I won't snatch it anymore. It's not safe for a girl to walk on this road in this weather. Can I take you to a safe place?"
His tone suddenly became frivolous and he started to touch me again. You Mingxu understood everything and felt extremely disgusted and contemptuous. But the situation was indeed critical. She struggled desperately and shouted again with all her might: "Brother with license plate number Sichuan AXXXXX, help! Please save me! Someone is robbing and raping me! Help—"
The young man on the motorcycle was a little annoyed and couldn't help but turn his head to look. Then he found that the car actually didn't move away but was parked in front of him. While he was hesitating, You Mingxu took the opportunity to break free and run away. The young man cursed softly and was about to chase after it, but he saw that the car actually turned around. "Beam--" a sharp car horn suddenly sounded and the car drove straight towards them.
You Mingxu staggered a few steps and when he looked up, he saw that the black car was only a dozen meters away from him. The man in the driver's seat stared at her, his eyes alert and determined. His hands were always on the steering wheel, and the sound of the car horn continued, penetrating through the rain curtain, across the road, and almost echoing throughout the entire field.
You Mingxu's heart suddenly felt warm and an inexplicable sense of security surged up in him. She seemed to see the man nodded at her, and the car accelerated and was in front of her in the blink of an eye.
You Mingxu turned around and saw the young man jump on the motorcycle and drive away with his foot on the accelerator.
You Mingxu stood there like a piece of wood, holding his backpack.
The rain had gotten heavier at some point, hitting the ground and his car with a crackling sound. He braked suddenly and got out of the car. Although the sky was gray and the rain was overlapping, it spread around the two people and even in the distance, forming a gray and blurry world. You Mingxu could see more clearly. He was about 1.8 meters tall, wearing a windbreaker, with a solid build and a gentle and clean face.
He glanced at You Mingxu, then at the direction where the motorcycle was going away. He had a fierce look on his face, but he immediately restrained it. He turned his head and looked at her again, asking, "Are you okay? Are you... injured?"
You Mingxu shook his head: "I'm fine. Thank you...thank you for turning back. If it weren't for you, I would really be finished."
He smiled gently.
He also didn't expect that the girl he occasionally rescued would be so beautiful and charming. In such a terrible background, that face would also make people's eyes bright. His gaze paused on her face, then immediately moved away and asked, "Do you have other companions? Do you want to contact them?"
You Mingxu replied: "I am alone now. I was originally traveling with a friend, but she had something urgent to do at home yesterday, so she went back first. I want to finish the rest of the journey."
The man said nothing, but put his hand on the car door and knocked casually. You Mingxu saw drops of water sliding silently down the back of his thin hand.
He asked: "Then, can you continue riding alone? Do you need to call the police?"
You Mingxu lowered his head slightly and looked at his boots. The legs of the combat pants are tucked into the boots, creating a handsome and neat line. She replied: "Can I take your bike and go to a safe place in front? I really can't ride anymore and I don't want to ride anymore."
The man was silent for a moment.
You Mingxu looked up and saw that he frowned slightly, and the expression seemed a little forced. But his frown soon relaxed and he said, "Okay."
You Mingxu smiled at him: "Thank you! Thank you so much for today!"
Raindrops fell from the sky, creating a hazy color, and the slender woman was in it. He looked at her clear and moving eyes, her delicate nose, and her plump red lips when she smiled, which actually had a natural sexiness to it. He hadn't touched a woman for a long time. After taking a look at her, he felt a sense of inexplicable anxiety in his heart. When she looked over, he had already turned away the rude gaze that belonged to a man.
He was driving an ordinary car and said, "The trunk is full of luggage." Then he helped You Mingxu tie the bicycle to the roof of the car.
The storm is coming.
Dark clouds pressed towards the top of the mountain. The sky and the earth were dark and gloomy, with only the rumbling sound of rain outside the car. The previously colorful Tibetan scenery seemed to have faded in the blink of an eye. There was only a darkness that seemed to swallow up everything, and visibility became very low.
He was not driving fast and occasionally other cars would pass by. There was heating in the car. You Mingxu took off his coat and only wore a tight long-sleeved shirt. After sitting for a while, he felt his body warming up.
She glanced at him secretly and he seemed to be concentrating on driving. He had just been caught in the rain, so he took off his coat, revealing a dark grey long-sleeved shirt underneath, which suited him very well.
After a while, he asked, "Mind if I smoke a cigarette? I'm a little tired."
You Mingxu replied: "I don't mind. Can you give me one?"
He then looked at her in surprise, with a hint of smile in his eyes. He reached out and scratched at the center console, pulling out half a pack of cigarettes. You Mingxu has always been knowledgeable and tactful. He picked it up directly, pulled out one and handed it to him first.
He took it and said, "Thank you."
You Mingxu held a cigarette in his mouth, then he took out a lighter, lit it for himself, and handed it to her. You Mingxu held the cigarette skillfully and smoked slowly. Although the two of them still didn't talk much, they felt closer and more familiar than when they first got in the car.
He said: "Gu Tiancheng. My name is Gu Tiancheng."
"You Mingxu." She glanced at the rain outside the car again, "If I hadn't met you, I don't know how soaked I would be now."
He curled his lips: "It's a small matter."
You Mingxu asked: "What do you do?"
Gu Tiancheng replied: "IT. What about you?"
You Mingxu: "Clothing, I do fashion design."
Gu Tiancheng smiled and said softly, "No wonder it looks so good."
You Mingxu heard it clearly but said nothing. I don’t know what he said was beautiful. He was also quiet, as if he hadn't said anything just now. They both finished their cigarettes. The rain had subsided a little. She looked at the darkening sky and asked, "How long will it take to find a place to rest?"
He said: "I don't know either. But I remember last year, if you drive for another hour or so, you should be able to see the Tibetans' homes."
You Mingxu said, "Okay." He folded his arms and leaned back in the car seat. After a while, he reached out and wiped his face, then pressed his forehead.
Gu Tiancheng noticed it and asked, "What's wrong? Are you okay?"
Then I heard her burying her face in her arms, and a muffled voice came: "It's okay. I'm just a little scared when I think about what happened just now."
Her voice was calm, with a hint of self-deprecating smile and a hint of grievance that was difficult to conceal. Before, Gu Tiancheng thought that this woman was very brave and calm. After getting in the car, she didn't cry or make any noise, and just smoked and chatted with him as usual. Unexpectedly, after such a while, she only realized the fear and finally revealed some of the weakness and helplessness that belong to a woman.
Glancing sideways, the woman's long hair had spread out, slightly wavy, and thick, black. The little face is hidden behind the arms, and below is a slender waist and long legs. The lines of the chest are even more delicate and full. She peeked out from behind her arms, her eyes bright and clear, stubborn and lively.
Gu Tiancheng felt as if his heart was stabbed lightly by something. He looked up and saw the front. This was the wasteland at the junction of Sichuan and Tibet, with the sky as a curtain and the earth as a mat. No one else, far away from the city. Away from all the ordinary, crowded, intrigue and pretense. However, he and this woman met like duckweed, and they were in the same car, avoiding the wind and rain and moving forward in warmth.
You Mingxu met his eyes. His expression was still calm, but his voice was a little softer: "Don't be afraid. I will definitely get you to a safe place."
