So Xia Wenxi asked Lin Shen curiously, "What were you thinking when you saw me?"
Lin Shen looked down at Xia Wenxi, into her smiling eyes, and said earnestly:
"At the time, I thought, she's really pretty and interesting, I want to talk to her, but I don't know if she'll talk to me."
Xia Wenxi's smile deepened, and she reached out to pinch Lin Shen's cheek. "Is our little Lin so lacking in confidence?"
"Yes, I'm afraid Wenxi will think of me as an old man with ulterior motives."
Lin Shen's words were half a joke and half a serious statement.
Xia Wenxi retorted, "Would I be that blind?"
Hearing how concerned he was about his age, I comforted him, "You're not an old man. Don't say you're old. If you are an old man, then what am I? A gerontophile?"
Xia Wenxi kept looking into Lin Shen's eyes as she spoke, making sure he could see the sincerity in them.
She saw the smile in Lin Shen's eyes deepen, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up.
Xia Wenxi suddenly realized what was happening.
She glared at him and demanded, "So, are you doing this on purpose? Just so I'd praise you?"
"They actually found out..."
Lin Shen's tone was tinged with regret, but he still smiled as he looked down at Xia Wenxi to see her reaction.
"How will Wenxi punish me?"
Xia Wenxi pushed his face away from her, saying, "I'm punishing you by not allowing you to kiss me for three days."
As soon as she finished speaking, she felt a soft warmth on the right side of her cheek.
Xia Wenxi was so angry that she laughed.
"What are you doing? How dare you defy the rules and commit crimes?"
"Because Wenxi didn't say when the punishment would begin."
"Start now! Immediately!"
As soon as she finished speaking, another kiss landed on her left cheek.
Xia Wenxi remained silent this time, instead looking at Lin Shen to see what reason he could come up with this time.
"I did not accept this punishment."
"Hey! It doesn't matter to me when I talk to you now, does it?"
Xia Wenxi was prepared this time. After speaking, she covered her mouth and looked at Lin Shen provocatively, as if to say, "Let's see where you can kiss me this time!"

Lin Shen is getting better and better at playing the victim in front of Xia Wenxi, and he's really learning something new about dating.
Xia Wenxi snorted, put down her hand, turned her head and flipped to the first picture in the photo album on the table, which was Lin Shen's daytime commemorative photo.
"Then post this photo on your WeChat Moments. You can't block anyone or group them with anyone."
Lin Shen smiled as he looked at the photo and said to Xia Wenxi, "I thought you would choose the last one for me to send."
"That won't do. I'll keep your undergarment a treasure and won't let anyone else see it."
Lin Shen took out his phone, took a picture, and posted it to his WeChat Moments without any caption.
Lin Shen's room is on the third floor, and under normal circumstances, you can't hear any noise from downstairs from his room.
But this time it's clearly not a normal situation.
After Lin Shen posted the photos, Xia Wenxi asked him to turn on his phone to see everyone's comments. However, before she could see the comments online, she heard a burst of laughter coming from downstairs.
Lin Shen could tell that the laughter belonged to his second brother.
After Lin Shen took Xia Wenxi to his room, the family downstairs continued chatting, but Lin Zhan couldn't really join in anyone's conversation.
My wife chatted with my sister-in-law about skincare and beauty, and about the kids in the family.
Lin Zhan couldn't understand skincare and beauty, and he found the idea of having kids at home annoying.
The older brother would start making phone calls after only a couple of sentences. Lin Zhan had no idea where he got so many phone numbers to make or so many friends to wish him a Happy New Year.
Lin Zhan's younger sister and brother-in-law were chatting with their mother about everyday matters and some interesting things that happened at school. Lin Zhan could understand what they were saying and even laugh along, but he couldn't get a word in edgewise.
So he could only sit to the side, idly playing on his phone.
That's how he saw the photos Lin Shen posted on his WeChat Moments.
At first, Lin Zhan didn't even realize who posted the photo. He thought it was a friend on social media posting a picture of their grandson. But upon closer inspection, he realized it was his younger brother who posted it, and it wasn't a picture of his grandson, but of himself.
Lin Zhan burst out laughing, and because of that, everyone in the family looked at him.
Lin Zhan reminded everyone, "Go check out Lao Si's WeChat Moments."
Knowing that his mother doesn't like looking at her phone, he specially sat down next to her to show her his phone, and then took out his reading glasses and put them on her.
Now everyone's glued to their phones, and no one talks about anything else.
"Why did Xiao Shen post this photo? I haven't looked at this photo in years."
Jian Yuxiang held up her phone, examining it carefully through her reading glasses.
Lin Zhan, who was standing nearby, said, "What else could it be? He must be showing off the photos to his girlfriend. He's so old, yet he's still acting like a young kid when it comes to dating."
"Compared to you, Xiao Shen is definitely younger, isn't he?"
Lin Zhan pursed his lips, but since it was his mother speaking, he could retort.
Lin Zhan's wife, however, suddenly asked Jian Yuxiang curiously, "Mom, did Lin Zhan have any photos taken like this when he was a child? I've never seen any photos of him as a child."
