Chapter 16

Chapter 16

Unfortunately, Yao Yingmo got up too late. When he made the sandwich and rang the doorbell next door, Shi Xuze had already left and no one answered.

She went out with a full plate and came back with another full plate.

Shi Xuze will not have a good meal today.

There was no other way, so she had to treat this extra sandwich as her afternoon snack.

It just so happens that the recent serialization progress is particularly brain-burning, and I get hungry quickly. Eating only two meals is indeed not enough. I need to take some extra snacks in between to keep my brain working.

Yao Yingmo put the extra sandwich into the refrigerator, took a cup of coffee made by the coffee machine, sat down at the dining table and concentrated on enjoying breakfast.

Just before turning on her laptop to start work, Yao Yingmo remembered that she had joined a group the day before. She hadn't read any of the messages in it yet.

Yao Yingmo chose to pick up her phone first. After a night, the chat room should be quieter. She could click in now and slowly read through all the messages that had been flooding her screen yesterday.

Most of these messages were nonsense. Yao Yingmo saw someone send a greeting ten times.

She said that there weren't a lot of people in the group, so why was the screen refresh rate and the number of unread messages so high that it looked like a large group of hundreds of people.

It turns out they were just a group of overly enthusiastic people.

The enthusiasm wasn't a big deal; Yao Yingmo was only worried that their daily work communication would follow this pattern. If that happened, she'd spend all day reading group messages, leaving her with no time to write.

She only looked at each person's nickname and the content of their responsibilities. Everyone had edited their name card in the group, making it clear at a glance.

She also paid special attention to the messages sent by Hu Guangfa.

Perhaps it was his reserved nature as the chief planner that made him say so much when everyone else was greeting him warmly. But just like the letter he sent, it was incredibly long. While others only used one line to introduce themselves, he wrote three.

Yao Yingmo's scalp tingled as he watched.

"Okay, this one passes."

Shi Xuze took off the monitoring headphones and put them back on the hook next to him.

Outside the recording studio, Luo Jiayou gave him a thumbs-up through the transparent soundproof window, "Very good, your performance today is still perfect. You can finish work early."

Shi Xuze raised his chin and gave the outside a confident look.

The reason he didn't retort was that the microphone light had dimmed, and no matter what he said, no one outside could hear it.

Luo Jiayou didn't like him talking directly into the microphone, saying that it was ringing directly in his head and would damage his hearing and affect the accuracy of his recording work.

Shi Xuze suspected that he was just annoyed by his noise, but Luo Jiayou controlled all the equipment in the recording studio, so even if he had an opinion, he could only hold it in.

Wait until you're out of the studio to protest.

After leaving the recording studio, Shi Xuze did not really express his opinion on Luo Jiayou's behavior of turning off the microphone.

He took Luo Jiayou's monitoring headphones, took Luo Jiayou's seat, and confirmed the audio track he had just recorded sentence by sentence.

As he listened, he frowned.

Luo Jiayou stood behind, propping himself up on the back of his chair. "Which sentence are you dissatisfied with?"

Shi Xuze did not answer, but stretched his right hand back with his palm facing upwards.

Luo Jiayou clicked his tongue, took a look at Shi Xuze's script, and then picked up a rare-colored fluorescent pen from the pen holder at the back and put it in his hand.

Shi Xuze took it without even looking up, adding a new touch of color to his already colorful script.

After marking it, he clicked on the next sentence and continued listening.

Luo Jiayou took a quick glance and saw that Shi Xuze was only halfway through the recording.

After thinking about it, he walked into the recording studio, took Shi Xuze's cup out and filled it with a cup of warm water. After coming back, he turned on all the equipment.

Before Shi Xuze finished listening, the colors of the script in his hand became more and more colorful.

Luo Jiayou pulled over another chair and waited with his chin propped up beside it.

When Shi Xuze finally took off his monitoring headphones, Luo Jiayou sat up straight and held out his hand, "Have you finished listening? Show me which lines of the script need to be re-recorded."

Shi Xuze handed over the script, "Not much, just a dozen sentences."

"A dozen sentences isn't too many. Luckily you came early today, otherwise you would have missed the production meeting this afternoon."

Luo Jiayou compared Shi Xuze's script and quickly made notes on his own copy. After finishing, he returned the script.

"Okay, you can go in."

"Don't delete the file you just recorded. Give it to the director together with the re-recorded file."

"Don't worry, I know."

Luo Jiayou has worked with Shi Xuze for a very long time. He is familiar with Shi Xuze's habits and knows that when he takes the initiative to re-record the lines, it is probably because he has some ideas of his own about emotional expression, but he is not sure which one the director wants, so he just gives him both.

If there is a director in the studio, you can discuss it with him. But for those who record by themselves and then hand in the dry sound, they can only try to record it as completely as possible.

"Hurry up and go in. If you delay any longer you won't have time for lunch."

"Okay, let's get back to work."

It was already past noon when Shi Xuze finally recorded something he was satisfied with.

Xiao Su waited outside. Only after seeing the light above the door go out did he dare to knock on the door. After knocking twice, he carefully turned the doorknob and pushed it open a small gap.

Shi Xuze had been recording in the studio for the entire morning and was now stretching his muscles. Specifically, he was standing next to Luo Jiayou who was packing up. His waist and legs were swaying and twisting restlessly, and his mouth was also restless, and he kept chatting.

Turning around, he saw Xiao Su peeking out of the door. "It's Xiao Su. Are you looking for me or Luo Jiayou? He's still busy. If you have something to say, just look for me. I can help you pass it on."

Convey?

Xiao Su looked into the shed in confusion.

Luo Jiayou turned his back to the door, facing the computer, waiting for the save process to be completed. In the shadow reflected by the transparent window, he rolled his eyes.

Xiao Su's voice trembled: "Um...I want to find both teachers."

Two pairs of eyes were cast towards the door at the same time.

Xiao Su's arms were stiff at his sides. "Sister Chang asked me to come and treat the two teachers to a meal."

His eyes swept across the faces of the two people in the shed, and Xiao Su added, "Also, the lounge has been cleaned up and can be used after dinner. Sister Chang said that you started work too early today and must not have gotten enough sleep last night, so you can take a nap to catch up."

Luo Jiayou looked at the time and shook his head.

Shi Xuze also shook his head, "No time to sleep. The Starry Sky production meeting will be in half an hour."

"I know there's only half an hour left and you two are still dawdling here."

Sister Chang appeared behind him with a stern face. Xiao Su was shocked and stood up straighter.

Sister Chang caught a glimpse of his movements and flicked her finger on his forehead.

"You're such a naive kid. I told you to call them to dinner, not to stand there waiting for an hour. Next time, if you see the Do Not Disturb light is on, come back later, or just hang your lunch box on the door. When these lunatics are hooked, they might not come out for half a day or a whole day."

Sister Chang's tone when she talked about Xiao Su was not fierce at all, but rather a bit helpless.

In other words, she was speaking to Shi Xuze and Luo Jiayou.

Shi Xuze grasped the key point of Sister Chang's words.

"Huh? Xiao Su, have you been waiting at the door this whole time? I'm so sorry for making you stand there. We're like this sometimes. We want to record perfectly before we finish, so we end up taking an hour or two longer than originally planned, or even longer. You'll get used to it over time, and get used to our passion for working so hard that we forget to eat or sleep."

Sister Chang snapped her fingers again, this time hitting Shi Xuze on the forehead. "Hot blood? When you become sick all over, I'll see if your blood is still hot. Being sick will also affect your throat. Don't neglect your health."

Shi Xuze made a salute gesture, "Okay, Sister Chang, I understand, Sister Chang, I will definitely be obedient."

He was hit again.

Sister Chang: "Stop talking nonsense and go eat. The coffee is freshly brewed with sugar and milk. Remember to drink it."

Shi Xuze cannot stand bitterness. He cannot drink pure black coffee at all. He has to add sugar and milk to cover the bitterness before he can barely swallow it. However, given their chaotic work schedule, a cup of coffee is quite important.

Luo Jiayou: "Thank you, Sister Chang."

Shi Xuze: "I knew Sister Chang was the best to me."

Sister Chang has been with Shi Xuze since he first started in the industry. Besides his recording duties, Sister Chang oversees his daily life, including food, clothing, housing, and transportation. When he was studying with Uncle Mu while still in school, Sister Chang also served as his tutor, overseeing his homework every day and being even stricter than his own parents.

So Shi Xuze loves and fears Sister Chang. He absolutely dares not act rashly, but he dares to act coquettishly.

Sister Chang was already used to this and didn't buy his tricks. She just told him the truth coldly, "I only added a pinch of sugar, three-tenths sweet, no more."

Shi Xuze nodded heavily, "I understand, thank you Sister Chang."

"Then hurry up and go eat!"

Shi Xuze slipped and ran away quickly.

Luo Jiayou and Xiao Su looked at each other. When they heard Sister Chang cough, Luo Jiayou did the same thing. He ran away with his tail between his legs.

Sister Chang's deliberately tense expression finally relaxed, and she even smiled faintly, "These two guys."

The two of them ate in the corner of an empty office.

Shi Xuze ate with great concentration, picking out the corn kernels one by one from the three-colored beans and eating them.

Luo Jiayou, however, was eating on his phone and was not paying attention at all.

He scrolled through Weibo, and when he came across a certain post, his finger paused and he turned around. "Guangguang, have you seen what Teacher Zhaohe posted on Weibo yesterday?"

Shi Xuze shook his head.

After his popularity increased, he rarely appeared on Weibo.

On the one hand, Sister Chang repeatedly told him not to post all his strong desire to express himself on Weibo, to maintain some mystery, and to reduce the workload of the administrative colleagues in the studio.

On the other hand, when a person becomes famous, he will be surrounded by gossip. There will always be people who dislike him. Although he seems heartless, it doesn't mean he doesn't take it to heart. If he goes on Weibo less often, he will see less content that affects his mood.

Zhaohe's Ink Shop is his second Weibo account that he has set as a special follower. The first is Mushu.

He hadn’t opened his Weibo account for so long that he didn’t even know that Zhaohe had posted on Weibo.

He's such a bad book fan.

Shi Xuze directly clicked on Zhaohe’s personal profile, swiped down, and saw the latest Weibo post.

The latest Weibo post is a photo.

The photo shows the TNP elk that long-time fans are familiar with. It is much larger than the one sold in stores.

But this is not the point. The point is that in the corner of the photo, there is a white round ear, which shows a little bit from the edge of the photo.

The ear is clean and beautiful, and it seems to be the "elk's new neighbor" mentioned by Teacher Zhaohe on Weibo.

This ear, which is secretly displayed, looks familiar no matter how you look at it.

It is somewhat similar to the white lion he gave to Teacher Zhaohe.

An outrageous guess flashed through my mind.
