Chapter 30 (Revised)

Chapter 30 (Revised)

At that moment, Yao Yingmo and Shi Xuze both remembered the fear of being dominated by Aunt Liu.

Aunt Liu's fighting ability is very strong, and she also has some misunderstandings about the normal amount of food a person should eat.

If it weren't for Aunt Liu, they would never have known that one person needs three bags of vegetables for one meal.

So if two people want to eat, they need a cart of food.

The last time he ran into Aunt Liu at the supermarket, Yao Yingmo hadn't finished eating all the food she'd bought. Aside from the perishables, which he quickly cooked and gave to Shi Xuze to help him eat, the rest of the long-lasting items remained largely untouched.

If Aunt Liu were to control their shopping cart again today...

It’s terrifying just thinking about it.

Yao Yingmo quickly stepped forward, his body blocking Aunt Liu's sight: "Enough to eat, enough to eat."

Her little thoughts couldn't stop Aunt Liu.

Aunt Liu slid and moved to the right very naturally, allowing a customer behind her to pass by, just enough to bypass Yao Yingmo's cover.

Aunt Liu scanned the ingredients in their shopping cart with a scrutinizing gaze, sighed exaggeratedly, and shook her head, saying, "This is definitely not enough for you to eat."

She patted Shi Xuze's arm and said, "Xiao Shi is a boy after all. It's not okay for him to eat only this little. He's too thin."

Shi Xuze raised his other hand and gently pinched the arm that Aunt Liu had patted. The arm muscles were stiff and he couldn't pinch them.

Shi Xuze finally breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he did have muscles on his body, not fat or a skinny skeleton.

Aunt Liu only said that he was too thin because she was looking at him through the filter of a younger generation.

His weight is normal.

No need to add too much, really.

Unfortunately, Aunt Liu could not hear the cries in his heart, nor his silent protests.

She reached out and grabbed their shopping carts and walked forward, "Come, I'll take you shopping."

As a well-trained man, Shi Xuze tried his best to resist, but Aunt Liu still pulled the shopping cart away.

The two could only follow behind with despair, and even said thank you politely, "Thank you, Aunt Liu."

The supermarket was bustling with people, but Aunt Liu managed to drive a straight path through it, even turning back to lecture the two of them, "Just buy these. The nutrition is not balanced at all."

Yao Yingmo looked directly at the person next to her. She didn't want to take the blame.

Shi Xuze said embarrassedly: "Those are what I want to eat."

Aunt Liu said "Oh" meaningfully, which made Yao Yingmo's scalp tingle.

"Xiao Yao, let me tell you, when it comes to health and safety, you can't indulge Xiao Shi, okay?"

Is she spoiling Shi Xuze?

How can you tell?

Isn't it natural to treat people to their favorite food?

Yao Yingmo was speechless to discover that Aunt Liu had been deeply convinced by her own misunderstanding. Now every word she said and every thing she did was based on her cognition.

It's really hard to explain.

"Aunt Liu, you really misunderstood." Yao Yingmo tried to explain again, "Mr. Shi did me a favor before, so I planned to treat him to a meal. That's all."

"I see. You should get more green vegetables. There's not enough meat. It would be better to get some seafood and fish as well, so that the nutrition is balanced."

She understood, but Aunt Liu still didn't believe it.

Yao Yingmo suddenly felt something was wrong.

Turning around, she found that Shi Xuze had no intention of helping to explain, and there was even a smile in his eyes.

I don’t know whether he didn’t understand what Aunt Liu said or he didn’t mind at all.

After all, even if he wanted to protect his voice, no normal person would remain silent when being misunderstood.

What's more, he had clearly responded before.

Yao Yingmo didn't want to bear Aunt Liu's barrage alone, so she gritted her teeth, turned her eyes, and pointed at the shelf beside her, "Aunt Liu, what do you think of me taking a bitter melon?"

She remembered Luo Jiayou saying that Shi Xuze was a guy who couldn't stand bitterness and hated every bitter food equally.

It would be a good idea to have a piece of bitter melon at this time, and Aunt Liu obviously thought so too.

"Good, good, bitter melon clears away heat and relieves internal heat, it's very healthy." Aunt Liu reached out and helped Yao Yingmo pick out a bitter melon, "This one is good."

Yao Yingmo was satisfied to see Shi Xuze's expression change.

"Can you please not buy the bitter melon?" He asked with a bitter face, and at the same time stretched out his hand to block the opening of the shopping cart to prevent Aunt Liu from putting the bitter melon in.

"Xiao Shi, you can't be like this. You're such a grown-up and you're still picky about food."

Aunt Liu is indeed an experienced elder. She forcefully crossed Shi Xuze's hand and put the bitter melon into the shopping cart.

Yao Yingmo ignored Shi Xuze's look for help and turned his head to the other side.

There is no way, Aunt Liu said that we can't spoil him.

Shi Xuze's protests and calls for help were ineffective, so he had no choice but to accept it.

It was not until they checked out and left the supermarket that the bitter melon finally left the shopping cart and went into Yao Yingmo's shopping bag, which was carried by Shi Xuze.

He had no choice but to tell himself that Yao Yingmo's cooking skills were excellent, and even the terrible bitter melon could be made delicious.

There's nothing to be afraid of, really.

At worst, he could just dispose of the bitter melon secretly.

On the way home, Shi Xuze kept trying to convince himself and finally convinced himself.

"Go back, I'll call you when I'm done cooking."

Yao Yingmo reached out to take the bag from Shi Xuze, but he suddenly raised his hand to prevent Yao Yingmo from taking it.

Yao Yingmo rolled his eyes.

Shi Xuze: "I can help. My good upbringing won't allow me to let others work hard to cook while I sit there and enjoy the meal."

Shi Xuze helps with cooking?

Yao Yingmo thought that was impossible. He didn't even have a kitchen at home.

"Have you ever been in the kitchen?" she asked politely.

If he can't cook, she would rather he go home and wait for dinner instead of making trouble.

Shi Xuze tilted his head and recalled for a while before giving the answer, "Yes, there is."

There was hesitation, doubt, and confidence in his expression, which made Yao Yingmo very scared.

Yao Yingmo: "What kind of dishes have you cooked specifically?"

"Boil water and mix corn kernels."

Shi Xuze touched his nose, obviously he also knew how ridiculous it was to name these two dishes.

Yao Yingmo had made up his mind that he must not be allowed into the kitchen.

"There must be something I can help with." Shi Xuze noticed Yao Yingmo's expression and tried again, "I can wash the dishes, I can help with the time, and I can also chat with you so that you won't be too bored while cooking."

It's that bright and clear look again.

Yao Yingmo sighed, "Do you really want to help?"

Shi Xuze nodded repeatedly.

"All right."

Yao Yingmo took him to the dining table and pulled out a chair for him to sit down.

"I'm here to help?" Shi Xuze asked, pointing at himself.

"I'll give you something to do, just wait."

Yao Yingmo walked into the kitchen and looked at the vegetables he bought in deep thought.

Finding things for Shi Xuze to do is much more difficult than preparing a whole table of dishes by herself.

Yao Yingmo was sorting and sorting while thinking, until she picked up one of the transparent plastic bags and had an idea.

If you can't handle knives or fire, then it's okay to find a task that only requires using your hands.

So, Shi Xuze got a bag of green beans, one of the vegetables Aunt Liu "taught" them to buy.

Yao Yingmo picked up a stick and demonstrated, "Pull out the tip, then go down and pull a line from the side, then do it again in reverse."

"Okay, I will definitely do that."

Shi Xuze nodded repeatedly. This task seemed quite simple and he would definitely be able to complete it perfectly, making Yao Yingmo look at him with admiration and completely turning around his unreliable image.

He found that Yao Yingmo's care for him seemed to come from the understanding that he was completely incapable of taking care of himself and that he could do nothing but dubbing.

He felt that this couldn't go on, and he had to make Yao Yingmo change her mind so that she would truly treat him as an equal, instead of treating him like a child.

With a goal in mind, Shi Xuze picked the vegetables very carefully, and each one was clean and neat.

Yao Yingmo prepared the other ingredients and came out of the kitchen again, only to see Shi Xuze holding a pot of green beans with a look of anticipation on his face.

"Very good." Yao Yingmo took it and was about to go to the kitchen, then turned around and paused, "I have nothing to do here and I'll make it for you."

Shi Xuze sighed regretfully and was about to speak when he heard a crisp ringtone.

"Teacher, your doorbell rang." He reminded.

"Could it be Aunt Liu?" Yao Yingmo opened the door to her house with a look of surprise on her face. "Xiaoyu, why are you here so early today? Didn't you say you had practice and would come in the evening?"

"The professor was called into a meeting, so the practice time has been adjusted."

"I'm just about to start making lunch, let's eat together."

"Okay." Zhou Yu followed him in. Suddenly, he stopped and asked, "Why is that guy here?"

It is said that enemies become particularly jealous when they meet. Zhou Yu was the same when he saw Shi Xuze. He was like a beast whose territory was invaded. His eyes immediately turned red and he stared at him fiercely, exuding the aura of a lion.

Shi Xuze stood up and smiled politely, "Hello, I'm Shi Xuze."

Zhou Yu didn't reply.

The atmosphere was tense.

Yao Yingmo raised an eyebrow and walked between the two of them. "Let me introduce you. This is Shi Xuze, my next-door neighbor and partner."

"He is my brother, Zhou Yu."

Shi Xuze took the lead in extending his hand, "Hello, nice to meet you."

Zhou Yu didn't want to shake hands with Shi Xuze, but under Yao Yingmo's continued gaze, he reluctantly stretched out his hand, shook it for just one second, and then let go.

"Hello." He emphasized the words.

After asking through gritted teeth, Zhou Yu looked at Yao Yingmo and asked again: "Why is he in your house? Didn't you promise me to be careful?"

It seems to be the case.

Things have been piling up recently, and everything is related to Shi Xuze.

Unconsciously, she had already let down her guard. When she invited Shi Xuze to her home for dinner, she didn't think about the issue of safety at all.

This must not be let Zhou Yu know.

After rolling his eyes, Yao Yingmo said, "Don't worry, Xiaoyu, you have to trust my judgment of people."

Zhou Yu's face was full of disapproval, and even Shi Xuze widened his eyes, unable to believe that Yao Yingmo actually thought that his judgment of people was very accurate.

If that were the case, would you still think he was socially anxious?

However, Zhou Yu was there, and no matter how much Shi Xuze said, he could keep the truth to himself because of a sense of crisis.

"I'm a good person, really," said Shi Xuze.

Zhou Yu glanced at him sideways, turned around with his backpack on his back, and said, "I'm going back to my room to put my bag away."

There was a loud bang from the guest room door.

Yao Yingmo pressed his solar plexus with a headache, and when he turned around and saw Shi Xuze, his headache got even worse.

This person was smiling all the time, but the words he said to Zhou Yu were always not right. Just two or three sentences made Zhou Yu furious.

I don’t know how he did it.

Yao Yingmo really couldn't understand why these two people were like this. They obviously had no intersection or interests. In the end, she could only attribute this to the incompatibility of their natural magnetic fields.

Since the magnetic fields are not compatible, there is no room for her to perform.

Yao Yingmo decisively returned to the kitchen, leaving only one sentence before turning around, "I'll cook later, don't quarrel, chat for a while if you can."
