Chapter 69 Take You to a Place

Chapter 69 Take You to a Place

"No."

Fang Li took the opportunity to kick back the chair and stood up. She took a deep breath and said in a slightly slower tone, "Although you specifically summoned them to explain to me, that incident was originally caused by you. I won't thank you."

"We've finished talking about it, and I've eaten. I have something else to do, so I'll leave first."

She nodded slightly at Lu Jie and walked quickly towards the door without waiting for his reaction.

Lu Jie suddenly said, "Why are you in such a hurry? I'll take you there."

Fang Li panicked as she heard footsteps behind her. Lu Jie had already stood up and walked around the table towards her. Seeing her tense body and repulsive expression, he raised his lips and chuckled, "What? Are you afraid that I won't let you go?"

As he spoke, he suddenly moved closer and raised his hand towards her.

Fang Li quickly took a step back, raised her eyes and stared at him with sharp eyes, only to see Lu Jie smile evilly and turn his hand in the air to rest on the door handle.

The door was opened with a click.

Fang Li's face froze. He did it on purpose!

However, she no longer cared about the embarrassment at this moment. Seeing the door of the private room open, she took the lead and strode out.

Sure enough, Lu Jie was following behind her, his eyes fixed on her back like a radar. Her entire spine began to tingle. If Fang Li didn't want to appear timid in front of him, she would have wanted to just run away.

The two walked one after the other out of the bamboo forest and into the hall.

"Mr. Lu, do you have anything else to say?" Fang Li stopped and turned to look at him.

Lu Jie was very tall, and Fang Li, who was only 1.7 meters tall, still had to slightly raise her head when standing in front of him.

Lu Jie lowered his eyes and looked at her, a faint smile on his handsome and devilish face. He pursed his lips and was silent for a moment before speaking: "I really don't want to let you go like this."

Fang Li's body tensed up instantly, her eyes alert, but she managed to remain calm: "Mr. Lu, are you used to going back on your word like this in your daily business?"

Lu Jie: "He really gets angry when teased."

"You!" Fang Li frowned and clenched her hands at her sides.

Lu Jie said calmly, "Go ahead. If you don't leave now, Han Lao Er will come and burn down Mulin Residence."

Fang Li couldn't wait any longer.

Hearing this, he turned around and left without saying another word.

Lu Jie called out from behind her, "If Han Lao Er gets angry with you because of this, don't let him get in his bad temper. Remember to come find me. My door is always open for you."

......After leaving Mulinju, walk a few hundred meters to reach the ring road.

Fang Li walked to the side of the road, took out her cell phone and called Han Xi, and the call was quickly connected.

"Hello, Han Xi."

Han Xi's voice tightened: "How are you? I'll be there soon."

Fang Li looked at the cars passing by and said, "I'm fine. Lu Jie didn't give me any trouble. I'm already out. If you're busy, you don't have to come. I can take a taxi back."

Han Xi: "What about him?"

The two words were almost squeezed out from between teeth.

Fang Li was about to answer when she heard the roar of a motor. Then she saw several sports cars driving out from the intersection. The first one was the one that Lu Jie had brought her in before.

Lu Jie was sitting in the passenger seat with the window wide open. As if sensing something, he suddenly turned his head to look over here.

Fang Li accidentally met his eyes and it was too late to hide.

She frowned with a cold look, but Lu Jie forced a sideways smile, stretched his arm out of the window and waved at her casually, then turned the car and merged into the traffic flow.

"Fang Li?" Han Xi's worried voice came to his ears.

Fang Li quickly came back to her senses and said, "Yes, Lu Jie has already left."

Han Xi said nothing for a few seconds, "Don't move, wait for me where you are."

Without giving Fang Li a chance to speak again, the phone was hung up.

I couldn't see Han Xi's expression through the phone, but judging from his tone, it didn't sound very good... Alas, Fang Li sighed and squatted on the side of the road. She didn't know how Jiang Bei was doing and whether he was injured.

Not long after, a black Maybach came speeding and stopped by the roadside with its tires rubbing against the road.

Fang Li stood up, and the driver's window dropped, revealing Han Xi's stern face.

He glanced sideways at the three words "Mu Lin Ju" standing on the slope, and said without any expression, "Get in the car first."

Fang Li opened the passenger door and got in. Han Xi came over and took her hand and asked, "Did he give you any trouble?"

Difficulty?

Fang Li instantly thought of his three conditions, especially the last one... She avoided his gaze, pulled her hand away and said, "No, we just chatted for a few minutes and then he let me go."

She said it lightly, but who was Han Xi? He had fought with Lu Jie many times over the years and knew his character very well. How could he let Fang Li go so easily after going through so much trouble to stop a car on the street?

He took a deep breath, stepped on the accelerator and drove away, his expression dark and unclear: "Why don't you tell the truth?"

Fang Li pursed her lips: "It's really nothing serious, he was just playing a simple prank, there's nothing worth talking about."

Lu Jie was indeed hateful, but she had not suffered any substantial harm. If she told the truth, it would only make Han Xi angry, and the conflict between them would deepen again.

Although Han Xi does not look like an impulsive person, the scene of his last meeting with Lu Jie is still vivid in his mind. Obviously, if the person facing him is Lu Jie, his patience will be very fragile.

Han Xi drove steadily with his eyes fixed straight ahead. Fang Li could only see a small part of his profile and couldn't make out the full expression on his face. For a moment, she was unsure of what he was thinking.

After a moment of silence, Han Xi suddenly spoke up: "Did he put forward any conditions for letting you go?"

Fang Li was startled and clenched the seat belt in her hand.

I couldn't help but sigh in my heart, it turns out that those who know each other best are always enemies. Han Xi and Lu Jie really know each other well.

Fang Li pursed her lips and said, "I just put forward a few insignificant conditions."

Seeing Han Xi frown, Fang Li quickly said: "But don't worry, it's just a delaying tactic. I won't pay any attention to him."

Han Xi's expression eased slightly. He turned to look at her, with an unpleasantness hidden in his eyes that was difficult to detect, all concealed behind apology.

"I'm sorry I scared you this time. I'll take care of Lu Jie and it won't happen again."

"It's okay. It has nothing to do with you. Who would have thought that he would go crazy on the street?"

Fang Li was talking when she suddenly thought of something: "By the way, how is Jiang Bei? Is he okay?"

Han Xi: "It's okay."

Just two words. As for how the accident was handled and whether it would have any impact on the Han family, he didn't say and Fang Li didn't ask again.

I think although Lu Jie is reckless, he is not stupid. The fact that he dares to act so recklessly on the street shows that he has certain support.

Jiang Bei has been following Han Xi since he came from abroad. This is definitely not the first time he has encountered such a thing over the years. Since he dared to confront Lu Jie, he must have thought of a countermeasure long ago.

The car slowly drove towards the city center, but when it was almost reaching Han's, it suddenly turned right.

"Where are we going?"

The word "we" seemed to please Han Xi. He looked slightly relieved and said, "I'll take you somewhere."
