Chapter 7 Didn’t You Leave?

Chapter 7 Didn’t You Leave?

His voice was clear and his expression was gentle, with a hint of guilt, visible but not much.

Fang Li was a little dazed, as if the previous scene was a dream, and the man's gloomy and disgusted expression was just her illusion.

But Song Yuchen spoke up: "Yu Wei has a slight concussion and needs to be hospitalized for two days of observation. She's in the ward next to yours."

He reminded her that it wasn't.

"Why are you telling me this? Do you want me to apologize to her?"

"Shouldn't you apologize if you hurt someone?"

"I didn't hurt her, she hit herself!"

Fang Li didn't want to explain at all, but she couldn't bear the aggrieved feeling in her heart.

Everything that happened just now was not her fault. Even though she and Song Yuchen had broken up, she still didn't want him to look at her like that.

She vowed to explain it this time, whether he believed it or not, she needed to give herself an explanation.

Song Yuchen stood a few steps away and looked down at her. His expression, which originally contained a hint of guilt, changed slightly, and there was a hint of sarcasm in his eyes.

"Do you know what Yu Wei said?"

He stared at her intensely, and when Fang Li raised her head, she fell into his eyes full of disappointment.

"She said she didn't blame you, that she lost her footing, that she just wanted to come see you and didn't expect you to misunderstand her so deeply. She understood that you were being bullied online and that you were sick, and she never said a word against you from beginning to end. And what about you?"

"Fang Li, how could you become like this!"

Fang Li looked at him for a long time, her eyes changing from shock to disappointment, and then to indifference.

She turned her head away and looked out the window with a calm expression, but she couldn't hide the sneer at the corner of her lips.

Very light, but full of irony.

"Song Yuchen, how many years have we known each other?"

Song Yuchen was stunned for a moment, then remained silent before answering, "Almost six years."

"Six years——" Fang Li still couldn't help laughing.

Six years!

For nearly six years, she had never given it a thought.

She thought that the man she could entrust her life to, the man she would never love enough, turned out to have such a fragile trust in her!

And she actually held such a man in her hands for six years.

Fang Li stood up and looked at him coldly: "Song Yuchen, if what I said on the phone before was not clear enough, I will say it again today, please listen carefully."

The cold voice was resounding, with a cold and decisive tone that left no regrets: "I have broken up with you."

Something strange finally flashed in Song Yuchen's eyes.

"You're right. I've been chasing you for six years. I'm really tired. Let it be. Whether you and Yu Wei are real or not, I don't bother to care."

Fang Li walked over slowly and opened the door of the ward: "Go away, and don't come again."

"Are you serious?"

"yes."

"Fang Li, why won't you believe me? Yu Wei and I are just playing around. There are many things in this industry that are beyond our control. You know that!"

Fang Li looked at him quietly without saying anything.

But the sarcasm in his eyes was glaring.

Just acting according to the situation and having no control over yourself?

He lied to her again and again with just these few words, and she actually believed it all!

Those who are loved are always fearless, but on what basis?

"Fang Li..."

Song Yuchen looked at her cold appearance, and the guilt in his heart returned a little. He strode over and reached out to hold her hand. It was obvious that he wanted to comfort Fang Li.

Unexpectedly, Fang Li dodged sideways and took two steps back to create distance, "Don't touch me!"

She roared, avoiding him as if he were a snake or scorpion. When she was sure he couldn't touch her, she slowly raised her head, her eyes clear and empty, with only indifference.

And Song Yuchen actually saw a hint of disgust in it.

Is she disgusted by him?

He was shocked as if struck by lightning.

"If you don't want that last bit of decency, I don't mind calling security."

The tone was even colder than her expression, a determination never seen before.

Song Yuchen finally felt a little panicked. He wanted to give in, but suddenly another voice in his heart told him that this was just a retreat to advance, which was Fang Li's usual trick.

Four years in college, two years after graduation, she even left her family behind for him. Where can she go if she leaves him?

Yes, that's it.

She just wanted to force him to break up. She had been together for more than a year and every time they had a conflict, she mentioned breaking up.

Thinking of this, Song Yuchen's panicked eyes gradually calmed down.

"There's been a lot going on these past two days. I understand you're in a bad mood. If you're mad at me and don't want to see me, that's fine. I'm leaving now."

He looked at her, then walked towards the door.

Before leaving, he stopped and said, "But I absolutely don't agree to breaking up as you said."

Fang Li had a blank expression on her face, as if to say that it didn't matter, since she had already been notified.

Song Yuchen looked at her deeply, knowing that it was pointless to continue talking, so he strode away without saying anything more.

Until Song Yuchen's footsteps grew farther and farther away, and the ward returned to its quiet and deserted state, Fang Li slid down to the ground, leaning against the wall, as if all her strength had been drained.

She curled up her legs, hugged her knees, and stared blankly at the place where Song Yuchen had just stood.

Never agree?

Why didn't she agree? She had had enough, and he was obviously fed up too. Couldn't she just let him go free?

Why did he have to grind her into the mud, watch her struggle in agony, unable to live or die, and pull out the last life-saving straw in her hand before he would stop!

Fang Li didn't want to cry. She had shed too many tears over the years.

But when six years of love were pulled out, it was like removing bones and flesh, with blood and flesh piercing the heart. How could I bear it?

She hated her own cowardice, but the pain in her heart was like a big hand, making her throat sore and her eyes hot.

She didn't want to shed tears, but they rolled out cheaply.

Now, she even has to cry behind people's backs, and these unknown tears are just a drop of water, a trace, how can they be priceless.

The door of the ward moved slightly, and Fang Li felt someone coming in. As the air flow beside her fluctuated, a brand new handkerchief was placed under her eyes.

Fang Li was slightly stunned. She raised her eyes with tears in her eyes, and a brief shock flashed in her glass-like eyes.

Her expression was dazed, and she stared at the man standing in front of her without blinking.

Looking at her like this, Han Xi frowned his delicate long eyebrows.

Afterwards, he sighed, squatted down, and silently wiped away the tears on her cheeks with a handkerchief.

His movements were clearly very light, yet somehow they were able to penetrate the skin and reach people's hearts.

With every wipe, Fang Li's heart trembled.

"Aren't you leaving?"

Han Xi bent one knee and almost knelt on the ground. His black trousers were so tight that they couldn't hide the bulging lines of his thighs. The shirt tied in his trousers was stretched straight with his movements. His waist and back were broad and tight. He was a gentleman who made people feel distant when he was silent, but when he moved, he was like a cheetah or a wolf, revealing his strength and wildness everywhere.

Fang Litan stared at him intently with his dark eyes for a long time. He then spoke slowly in a low voice, "Would you like some tea and porridge from Tan Palace?"
