Chapter 1114 Scam Phone Call

Chapter 1114 Scam Phone Call

Huo Yao finished his meal and sat at the table in the cafeteria. After reading the WeChat message from Wang's apprentice, he didn't think much of it. He replied with an OK emoticon and put his phone away.

Seeing that she didn't take her phone, Yuan Xi asked curiously while eating, "What did you do in the afternoon? I saw you skipped two classes."

Huo Yao recalled that those two times were because he was trying to catch up with the progress of the laboratory, and immediately replied: "The department teacher is looking for him."

Yuan Xi nodded, "Oh, no wonder."

She said that this guy has always been a good student who abides by the rules and regulations. He only cares about studying and would never skip classes.

"Yeah." Huo Yao didn't say much.

"By the way, shall we go to the library together after dinner?" Yuan Xi raised her head and asked again.

She has been fed up with her roommates lately, who gather together to gossip every day, and the one they talk about the most is her sister Yao.

Huo Yao was also going to hang out in the library, so she agreed.

Yuan Xi grinned and continued eating.

The phone in her bag vibrated. She took it out, and when she saw the caller ID, the relaxed smile on her face disappeared instantly, and her fingers tightened around the phone's frame.

Huo Yao glanced at her and asked, "What's wrong?"

Yuan Xi raised the corners of her lips awkwardly, and directly pressed the hang-up button with her finger, saying, "No, it's just a scam call."

Huo Yao raised her eyebrows. This didn't look like a scam call, but she didn't ask any more questions.

After Yuan Xi hung up the phone, she put the phone on the table and was obviously more absent-minded while eating.

Fortunately, the phone didn't come again, and she breathed a sigh of relief.

After dinner, the two walked slowly to the school library.

The library is usually deserted at noon, and there are only a few people sitting sparsely in the reading area, so it is very quiet.

Yuan Xi randomly picked up two books and went to take a seat by the window. When she saw the books Huo Yao was holding when he came back, she instantly let out a sigh like a poor student.

She has been abused enough in the classroom, why does she have to persevere in coming to the library to continue being beaten?

Yuan Xi lay weakly on the table, burying the book under his arms.

Huo Yao glanced at her, then pulled out a chair and sat down.

But Yuan Xi reacted quickly, leaned forward, and said in a low voice: "Sister Yao, you are studying in the Department of Physics, right?"

"Yeah." Huo Yao responded lightly and opened the book.

Yuan Xi scratched his head, remembering that Sister Yao often wrote complicated formulas in class some time ago. Suddenly, a bold idea came to his mind, "Are you planning to take a second major?"

Huo Yao raised his eyebrows slightly, "Almost."

When Yuan Xi heard this, she shook her head and said, "I haven't even figured out my first major yet, and you're already planning on taking a second major. Sigh, this is really discouraging."

Huo Yao just smiled and said nothing.

Wang Jing also came to the library after lunch. She searched the bookshelf for a long time and finally found the information she wanted. As soon as she walked to the reading area, she looked up and saw Huo Yao sitting by the window in the third row from the back.

Her eyes lit up and she walked in her direction.

"Xiao Yaoyao." Wang Jing walked closer and sat down in the empty seat next to Huo Yao.

Huo Yao raised his head when he heard the voice, a little surprised, "Sister Jing."

"I didn't expect you to be in the library too." Wang Jing raised her eyebrows, then turned to look at Yuan Xi who was sitting opposite her, and asked naturally, "Is this your friend? She's from our department, right?"
