Chapter 125 Xiao Min is a good person
How could she not understand the old lady's tricks every time she tried to hide her emotions.
Huo Yao casually picked up a strand of half-dried hair that was scattered on his shoulders and played with it, saying in a nonchalant voice, "You are quite capable now. You dared to sneak back to your hometown alone without making a sound."
When the old lady heard this, she smiled a little scary and said, "I'm not alone. Teacher Xiao Min sent someone to take me back."
Huo Yao chuckled, "How long have you known her? If I get cheated, where can I find another grandmother?"
The old lady's throat felt sour. She suppressed the discomfort that was rising up and whispered, "Grandma knows that Xiao Min is a good person."
"Don't leave a note behind when you run away from home anymore. Just tell me where you want to go. Am I going to stop you?"
After a pause, Huo Yao narrowed his eyes slightly, and his voice was the most serious ever: "As long as I am here, no one will ever force you to live in a place you don't like."
She knew that He Xiaoman had always wanted to bring the old lady to live in the city, but the old lady didn't want to. If it weren't for the fact that she was going back to the Huo family this time, the old lady would probably not compromise.
After all, it was her own selfishness that made her live in an unhappy city during this period of time.
She wanted to take care of the old man on behalf of the original owner of this body, but she ignored whether the old man was willing.
The old lady choked up and hummed softly, "If Xiaoman embarrasses you again in the future, you don't need to consider grandma's face anymore. Do whatever you want and don't let yourself be wronged."
Huo Yao said calmly: "So the reason why you have such a serious mental illness is because you think too much."
Afraid that she would feel uncomfortable if she continued talking, the old lady groaned and said, "Alright, alright, it's getting late, I have to go to bed too."
After saying that, he hung up the phone without waiting for Huo Yao to say good night.
Huo Yao listened to the beeping sound coming from the phone, shook his head with a smile, then put the phone down and continued to use the hair dryer to blow dry his hair.
Not long after, there was a knock on the door.
Huo Yao had just blown his hair dry, gathered it up casually, and walked to the door.
"Second brother?"
Huo Tingrui put his hands behind his back. After taking off the frameless glasses he usually wore, he looked more gentle. He pursed his lips and smiled, and asked, "You shouldn't have had dinner, right?"
Huo Yao looked quite surprised, then hummed.
Huo Tingrui turned sideways, raised his chin slightly, and looked towards the stairs. "Let's go, my second brother will cook something for you." After a two-second pause, he added, "My eldest brother has left, so you don't have to worry about being embarrassed."
Huo Yao heard this and said without being pretentious, "Thank you, second brother."
Soon, the two went downstairs one after the other. It was almost ten o'clock, and Song Ning and Huo Jinyan had already returned to their room.
Huo Tingrui rolled up the sleeves of his pajamas, opened the refrigerator and looked around. There was nothing else except eggs and a tomato. He couldn't help but touch the tip of his nose, then looked back at Huo Yao and said helplessly, "There's not much left. How about tomato and egg noodles?"
"Okay, I'm not picky about food."
"OK." Huo Tingrui nodded and took out eggs and tomatoes from the refrigerator. "Go sit in the living room for a while. My second brother will be ready soon."
Huo Yao hummed lightly, but did not leave. Instead, he folded his arms across his chest, leaned lazily against the wall, and calmly watched the person who was cooking noodles in the kitchen in an orderly manner.
