Chapter 128 Maybe I'm Thinking Too Much

Chapter 128 Maybe I'm Thinking Too Much

Huo Yanxi's gaze fell on Lu Xia's face. The man who used to be full of energy now looked haggard and lifeless. His red eyes seemed to be filled with endless annoyance and regret. He even completely disregarded the image that he usually paid special attention to, and just wanted to apologize and explain.

Seeing Lu Xia like this, Huo Yanxi felt complicated. The corners of his lips twitched, as if he wanted to say something, but Huo Yao's cold and arrogant face flashed before his eyes. He didn't cry or make a fuss, and even if he was misunderstood, he would not give in or make excuses. He was as stubborn as a hedgehog.

After a while, he slowly said: "It's over, there's no need to mention it again. As for the apology..." Huo Yanxi paused, and said: "...No need, Yaoyao won't take it to heart."

Lu Xia lowered his eyes slightly, and moved his fingertips on the table a few times, then said carefully: "But is this okay? After all, the misunderstanding was caused by me... Big brother, you don't have to consider me. As long as Yaoyao is not angry, I can do anything."

When Huo Yanxi heard this, he frowned subconsciously, and then he just said solemnly: "No need."

Lu Xia's heart skipped a beat, and she suddenly felt a little confused about his attitude.

Soon, the sound of a waiter knocking on the door was heard. Lu Xia wanted to check on Huo Yanxi again, but was interrupted so she had to shut up. Before someone pushed the door open, she picked up the sunglasses next to her and put them on.

After the dishes were served and the waiter left, Lu Xia took off his sunglasses again.

She looked at Huo Yanxi who was cutting steak with his knife and fork opposite her, and realized that she could no longer continue the previous topic, so she had to pick up the knife and fork and started eating absent-mindedly.

For a moment, the box became very quiet. Neither of them spoke, and each of them had different thoughts.

After the meal, Huo Yanxi went to pay the bill. When Lu Xia left the box, he put on his sunglasses and mask again to avoid being recognized.

Walking out of the restaurant, Lu Xia looked at Huo Yanxi and was about to speak.

"Are you going home now?" Huo Yanxi asked first.

"Let's go home." Lu Xia replied softly.

Huo Yanxi nodded and said, "Let's go, I'll take you home." After that, he walked towards the parking lot.

Lu Xia looked at his back, as if they had returned to the way they were before without any resentment. She lowered her eyes slightly, suppressing the many thoughts in her mind.

Maybe she was overthinking it.

Twenty minutes later, Huo Yanxi sent Lu Xia to the gate of the Lu family villa.

"Brother, drive carefully. I'll go in first." Lu Xia unbuckled his seat belt and said softly.

Huo Yanxi hummed lightly. After Lu Xia got out of the car, he did not start the car immediately. Instead, he looked through the glass window in front at the huge Lu family villa.

The decorative lights on the wall cast a dim glow, and the three-story villa, which looks like a small castle, shows the wealth of its owner.

Huo Yanxi suddenly pulled the corners of his lips, and there was a hint of obscurity in his eyes. After a long while, his hand holding the steering wheel moved, and he turned around and left.

**

Lu Xia had just walked in and changed her shoes. Before she even reached the living room, she ran into Lu Ziming who was walking down from the second floor. She frowned but didn't say hello.

Father Lu was sitting on the sofa watching TV at this time. Lu Xia walked over and called out obediently, "Dad, I'm back."

Father Lu looked up at Lu Xia, a smile appeared on his fat face, and he asked casually, "Well, why are you so late today?"
