Chapter 1366: Distress Signal

Chapter 1366: Distress Signal

After a few minutes of resending, it still says it failed.

Huo Yao tapped the screen of his mobile phone with his fingers. Seeing this, he stopped sending messages and was not too worried.

Although Lao Wei is an honest man, he is very vigilant and it should not be easy for him to be caught by those people.

Min Yu, who was driving next to her, looked up at Huo Yao and saw that she was still in deep thought, so he asked, "Are you still worried about President Wang's illness?"

Huo Yao heard Min Yu's voice and came back to her senses. She put away her phone, shook her head and said, "Everyone will grow old, get sick and die one day."

"Just do your best." Min Yu said calmly.

"Yeah." Huo Yao responded lightly, looking out the window. Then she remembered something and raised her hand to take off the necklace around her neck. "Didn't you want to lend me this a few days ago?"

Min Yu glanced to the side and knew that her body had almost recovered. He reached out to take the necklace and put it in his pocket. "I'll return it to you after you use it."

"Okay." Huo Yao replied straightforwardly without asking him what he was going to do with the jade.

Min Yu didn't explain much, just asked: "Where are you going?"

Huo Yao looked at the time on his wrist and said, "Just take me to the hospital."

Min Yu nodded, and just as he was about to speak, the cell phone in his pocket rang.

It’s Yang Yi calling.

He took the Bluetooth headset next to him and put it on. After the call was connected, Yang Yi's voice came from the other side.

"Professor Min has received news."

Min Yu's expression changed slightly when he heard this, "Really? Where is it?"

Yang Yi mentioned a place, a remote mountain in the south. "But the signal from Professor Min is really poor. My people only caught a faint distress signal, and now we can't get in touch with him."

Min Yu held the steering wheel, his eyes looking straight ahead, "You arrange for people to continue looking, and wait for me to come back."

After saying that, he pressed the headset and hung up the phone.

Huo Yao beside him tilted his head and said, "If you are busy, just drop me off on the side of the road. I will take a taxi directly to the hospital."

Min Yu didn't slow down, "It doesn't matter this little bit of time."

Seeing this, Huo Yao didn't say anything else.

Ten minutes later, Min Yu sent Huo Yao to the hospital. He did not go upstairs to the ward to visit him, but drove away directly.

When I returned to the Min family, Yang Yi and Zhuo Yun were already waiting there.

"Is the helicopter ready?" Min Yu was wearing a dark-colored coat with his sleeves rolled up, revealing his wrists which were white, thin, and bony. He looked extremely cold and solemn.

"Everything is ready. We can set off now." Yang Yi said respectfully.

Min Yu nodded and instructed: "This matter should not be made public. Don't tell Ms. Nie and the old man for now."

"Yes, I understand." Yang Yi and Zhuo Yun nodded.

Not long after, the group arrived at the tarmac. After boarding the plane, Min Yu leaned back on the sofa, gazing out the glass window next to him with deep eyes.

Zhuo Yun went to get a bottle of water and said, "Brother Yu, you don't have to worry. Professor Min should be fine. Although there is no signal in that place, our people went in and took a look around the perimeter and found nothing dangerous."

Min Yu withdrew his gaze and hummed lightly.

"But there is one thing that is quite strange. That place is not within the circle on the map. An area is only marked as undeveloped primeval forest. The helicopter may get lost if it goes in." Zhuo Yun said again.
