Chapter 144: Always Make a Contribution
Half an hour later, at a teahouse in the city.
As soon as Huo Yao walked into the private room, she smelled a faint scent of sandalwood, which seemed to be the same smell she smelled in the store called Yuyaozhai yesterday.
"Here it comes." Min Yu was sitting in front of the tea tray, brewing tea gracefully. There was an incense burner not far away from his hand, and curling clouds of smoke were slowly rising from the incense burner.
Huo Yao narrowed his eyes, hummed, then nodded politely to Zhuo Yun beside him. Then he walked over, casually pulled open a mahogany chair, and sat down.
Zhuo Yun glanced at Huo Yao cautiously. He didn't know why, but every time he saw this little girl, she would give him a coldness that didn't match her age, and he couldn't see through her.
Min Yu placed the freshly scalded teacup in front of Huo Yao, picked up the teapot with his slender white fingers, and slowly poured the emerald green tea into the cup, "Qingqian Longjing, try it and see how it tastes."
Huo Yao picked up the teacup, and the elegant tea aroma in the cup wafted into her nose. She put it to her lips and took a sip. She immediately raised her eyebrows and praised: "The tea aroma is mellow, sweet and lingering, not bad."
Min Yu put down the teapot, his delicate eyebrows were tinged with warmth, and he looked casual and uninhibited. "I heard that you participated in an international competition?"
Huo Yao seemed to think about Xiao Xu after hearing this. She lazily leaned back in her chair and looked up at Min Yu, "Is the old lady nagging you again?"
Min Yu smiled faintly and said something ambiguous: "After all, I am a tutor, so I have to make some contributions."
Huo Yao touched his chin and said, "Ah, there's no need to contribute. Just help me make the old lady happy."
As soon as she finished her words, Zhuo Yun beside her suddenly seemed to be choked by something and started coughing violently, "Cough cough..."
Huo Yao raised his head and looked at him curiously.
Min Yu also glanced at Zhuo Yun and replied to her in a light voice, "Well, this is natural."
Zhuo Yun had just calmed down from the shock of Huo Yao's words, and then he heard his master's answer, and he was petrified.
One dared to make a request, and the other was willing to accept it... Was it because the way he opened it today was wrong, or was he hallucinating, or was the master in front of him a fake?
"Do you need us to hire a professional tutor for you?" Min Yu asked as he poured Huo Yao some tea.
Huo Yao tapped the table with his fingertips. "Thank you, but no thanks."
Upon hearing this, Min Yu did not continue the topic. He picked up the cup and sipped the tea.
For a moment, the private room became very quiet, but this quietness did not make people feel awkward.
Not long after, Huo Yao looked at the time on his wrist, then picked up the bag beside him and handed it to Min Yu: "This incense should be of some help to you."
After a pause, Huo Yao picked up the teacup again, drank it all in one gulp and stood up. "The tea is good, thank you for the treat, I'll leave first."
"I send you."
"Don't bother, I can take a taxi back by myself." Huo Yao rejected Min Yu's kindness, and walked out without saying anything else.
Min Yu looked at Huo Yao's back thoughtfully for two seconds, "Wait a moment."
Huo Yao turned around and looked at him, "Hmm?"
Min Yu smiled, took the tea box next to him, and walked over, "Here's the tea. Ask me for more after you finish drinking it."
Zhuo Yun, who was standing next to him, widened his eyes again when he saw this. The other person only gave him a box of ordinary incense, but his master gave him a box of limited edition tea... It's over, it's over. He felt like there was something wrong with his eyes again.
