Chapter 1841 Underground Palace Treasure

Chapter 1841 Underground Palace Treasure

Zhuo Yun shrugged and explained, "You have been hiding in the First Base for a while, and I didn't have the time to tell you that the news of the underground palace treasure has already spread, so I plan to take this opportunity to lure that damn thief out."

After Yang Yi heard this, his eyebrows twitched again, as if he was hard of hearing and didn't hear clearly, "What did you say? Say it again???"

What a bastard!

Is that what he meant by knowing?

Zhuo Yun repeated in a very firm tone, "…if this bastard dares to show up this time, I guarantee that he will never come back!"

Yang Yi listened to Zhuo Yun calling him a bastard all the time, and it was as if he saw both of his feet on the line of death.

I was silent for two seconds. I felt that after all we have been brothers for so many years, it would be immoral to watch him die without helping him.

So, Yang Yi nodded solemnly and said, "Brother, I have high hopes for you. If you really catch the man, you will have done a great deed and you won't have to worry about your wife anymore."

Zhuo Yun was a little flattered by the compliment, "Sure, sure."

Yang Yi coughed, then turned his head away seriously and looked out the car window.

**

The next day.

Huo Yao set off for Shangyi Town. Although the contract was to be signed tomorrow, Deacon Ding asked her to go there in advance to familiarize herself with the situation.

Early in the morning, the convoy led by Xiao Xie stopped in front of the main villa.

There were more than a dozen modified bulletproof off-road vehicles, with great momentum and a grand presence. Soon, the convoy slowly drove out of the Huo family manor.

Melissa stood on the open-air balcony on the third floor, watching the departing convoy coldly until it disappeared from view. She took out her cell phone from her pocket and dialed a number.

"...Yes, we have already set off."

Melissa hung up the phone with a sneer on her lips.

She would never allow anyone to stand in her daughter's way.

Melissa turned around and was about to go into the house, but when she looked up, she saw her daughter standing against the glass door with her arms folded, looking nonchalant. She didn't know how long she had been standing there.

Melissa was stunned for a moment, then she walked over, her face as gentle as usual, "Wanying, when did you come here?"

Huo Wanying's eyes fell on Melissa's face, "You shouldn't get involved in family affairs."

Melissa froze. She was actually a little afraid of her daughter. She didn't know where to put her hand holding the phone. "Did you hear me talking on the phone just now?"

Huo Wanying stood up straight and said calmly, "Grandpa misses you a lot. I have arranged for someone to take you back later."

Melissa's face changed. She had a bad relationship with her family. "I'm not going."

Huo Wanying didn't look at her mother again and turned into the house.

This is non-negotiable.

Melissa stood there. She never expected that her daughter would actually send her back to her parents' home at this time.

She just wanted to clear the obstacles for her.

*

It takes about six hours to drive from the Huo family manor to Shangyi Town, but Huo Yao got off the car not long after leaving the Huo family.

She asked Xiao Xie to meet up with Deacon Ding first, because today was also the day the archaeological team would enter the underground palace.

The underground palace is located in Bligh Town, which happens to be a neighboring town of Shangyi Town. The two towns are only two hours' drive apart.

Therefore, Huo Yao had already planned to go to the underground palace first.

She was not really interested in the treasure, but she knew from the information she received that what Aunt Tong was looking for was very likely to appear in the underground palace.
