Chapter 23 I Shouldn't Have Come Back
"It won't be a big deal to send you to school." Huo Yanxi felt ashamed of his preconceived idea, so he insisted on sending you there.
Huo Yao was full. She put down her chopsticks and looked at Huo Yanxi. She was about to say "Okay." But he said, "Xia Xia is also in No. 1 Middle School. I promised her that I would send her there when school starts. You are not familiar with No. 1 Middle School. With Xia Xia, you will..."
Before he could finish his words, Huo Yao interrupted him calmly, "No need, I can do it alone." A hint of self-mockery flashed across his lips.
Then, she stood up, looked at Song Ning and Huo Jinyan, and said, "Dad, Mom, I'll go up first."
After saying that, he left without waiting for the two to say anything.
Soon, Huo Yao's figure disappeared at the stairs.
Huo Yanxi came back to his senses and frowned slightly. Was she throwing a tantrum because she heard that he was going to send Xia Xia along?
He looked at his parents and said in a deep voice, "Has she always been like this when she came home these past few days?"
Fortunately, he felt a little guilty just now.
Song Ning looked at the eldest brother, and probably understood what he meant by asking this question. He subconsciously explained to his daughter: "Actually, Yaoyao has a good personality. As the eldest brother, you knew that she just came back, but you didn't come back to see her for so many days. Maybe you feel a little uncomfortable."
Hearing this, although Huo Yanxi felt a little guilty, he still said one more sentence: "Even if it's awkward, you shouldn't speak like this. Mom, although my sister just came back, you shouldn't spoil her too much."
Song Ning was not happy with his eldest son's words, and slammed the table fiercely, "Hey, why are you so prejudiced against your sister? How did she offend you?"
Seeing that his mother was about to lose her temper, Huo Yanxi stood up and raised his hand perfunctorily, "Okay, it's my fault. I shouldn't have come back tonight. I'm leaving first."
After a while, the sound of a door closing was heard at the gate.
Song Ning looked at the table full of untouched food and felt a headache. "I saw that when the boss picked up Yaoyao that day, they were getting along pretty well, right?"
Why is it so abnormal today?
Huo Jinyan reached out and patted her shoulder gently, soothing her: "Take your time. Your daughter just came back, so she needs more time to get used to it."
"I always thought that the boss was the calmest and should be the one who could get along best with Yaoyao. Now it seems..." Song Ning pressed his temple, feeling his migraine coming back.
The second, third, and fourth brothers, these weirdos haven't come back yet, and God knows what kind of conflicts and sparks will arise.

After Huo Yanxi drove out of the community, he thought about it for a long time on the way and finally called Lu Xia and asked her to meet at a western restaurant near her home.
Half an hour later.
"Brother, why did you ask me out so late? Is there something wrong?"
Since participating in the "Star Training Camp", Lu Xia has gained countless fans and has become somewhat famous. She always wears sunglasses and a mask when going out. Now that she has entered the box, she has taken them off.
Huo Yanxi poured her a glass of water and said, "No hurry, order something to eat first."
He handed the menu to Lu Xia.
Lu Xia casually ordered a steak, picked up the cup, took a sip, and asked tentatively: "Brother, are you looking for me because of Yaoyao's school?"
Last time in the car, she mentioned helping Huo Yao find a school, but the Huo family hasn't called her in all these days.
