Chapter 405 I've never seen you so arrogant before

When Huo Yao heard the lies that the old man told him, his face instantly turned dark.

Why did she reach out to help just now?

We haven't even earned 5 million in advertising fees yet, and this is the rhythm of going bankrupt first?

"Old man, this is a school with surveillance cameras. Your attempt to scam me is meaningless!" Huo Yao said again, gritting his teeth.

The old man opened and closed his eyes, and continued to hum, "I feel dizzy... I feel uncomfortable... I can't be irresponsible for you bumping into me..."

Huo Yao: “…”

Although there were not many students walking around the campus at this time, there were still a few.

Seeing that the old man Huo Yao was supporting was quite old and was complaining about not feeling well, no one dared to come over to help.

However, some students took out their cell phones and quickly called an ambulance.

Unable to break free, nor able to forcibly pull his hand back, Huo Yao, who was inexplicably blackmailed, was soon dragged into the ambulance by the old man when the ambulance arrived.

Even when they went to the hospital for a check-up, the old man kept holding her hand.

He said that he was afraid that she would run away.

After the examination, in the ward.

Huo Yao looked expressionlessly at the old man who was leaning against the head of the bed, his clothes still being pulled by him.

"I want to eat some fruit, please buy some for me." The old man looked rude.

"No money, no money, don't even think about it!" Huo Yao's voice was cold.

"You little girl, you are so arrogant even after bumping into someone. You don't know how to respect the elderly at all!" The old man snorted, deliberately finding fault.

"I'm sorry, I've never seen anyone so arrogant as to commit fraud in my life." Huo Yao replied.

The old man looked guilty, but his face was still confident. "I don't care. You hit me, so you have to take care of me."

After a pause, the old man added: "Otherwise I will go to your school and make trouble every day."

"Whatever!" Huo Yao shrugged indifferently, then she stood up and easily pulled the corner of the clothes out of the old man's hand.

Upon seeing this, the old man immediately sat up straight, pursed his lips, and stared at Huo Yao, "You want to run away?"

Huo Yao glanced back at him and answered without any emotion: "Yes." After smoothing the corner of her clothes, she added: "I sent you to the hospital purely out of kindness. Don't really think I was fooled."

Huo Yao took out his cell phone, opened the dial panel, and with the last bit of patience, asked, "Tell me, what's your family's phone number?"

After these words were spoken, the old man leaning against the head of the bed suddenly became quiet. Soon, he slid down, finally pulled the quilt over his entire body, and then turned sideways with his back facing Huo Yao.

"Please go away and let an old widower like me fend for myself here." The old man said sullenly, and his voice sounded very pitiful.

Huo Yao pressed his eyebrows. If he had been more of his old self, he would have walked away long ago. But now he was actually allowing this old man to blackmail him?

Looking at the time, Huo Yao took one last look at him and said, "Then please stay here. I have to go back to school."

After saying that, she walked out of the ward.

Soon, the sound of a door closing was heard.

Leaving now?

The old man opened his eyes wide and waited for a while. When he heard no more sound, he suddenly lifted the quilt and sat up very quickly.

If Huo Yao were here, he would definitely see that the old man was no longer as frail and slow-moving as before.
