Chapter 43: The old lady showing her argumentative nature
"Why are you here today?" The old lady said unhappily. After a pause, she seemed to have just noticed Lu Xia beside He Xiaoman, "Lu Xia is here too."
The tone also sounded perfunctory.
Lu Xia's expression froze, but she still called out "Grandma" with a smile.
"Why can't I come? So Xia Xia and I are still outsiders and shouldn't be here, right?" He Xiaoman was almost laughing at her mother.
"Then why don't you at least call before you come?" the old lady whispered.
If she had known that He Xiaoman would bring Lu Xia with her, she would never have let Yaoyao come today.

He Xiaoman felt that the old lady was poisoned by her adopted daughter. She was not enthusiastic about her biological granddaughter and instead liked the fake one. She was completely hopeless.
"You didn't seem to like Yaoyao very much before!" the old lady said sarcastically.
He Xiaoman held her forehead and said, "Forget it. I won't argue with you so much. I just hope you can treat me fairly."
"Who likes to argue with you? You came with a questioning look on your face. You ruined my good mood." The old lady fully demonstrated her nature as a nitpicker today.
He Xiaoman's face darkened instantly. Seeing this, Lu Xia beside her hurried over and said with a smile, "Mom, didn't you buy a set of jade for grandma? Take it out and let grandma wear it."
As Lu Xia said this, she hurriedly asked the housekeeper next to her to take out the box, and then smiled and took the old lady's arm, "Grandma, don't be angry, let's sit down and try this jewelry to see if you like it, okay?"

The old lady looked at her with a strange look, "Aren't you going to give these things to me?"
What I mean is, isn't it normal for me to give my things to anyone I want?
"The things are given to you, but I didn't ask you to give them away!" He Xiaoman took a deep breath and tried her best to suppress the rage in her heart.
The old lady wanted to say something, but Lu Xia spoke first. She glanced at Huo Yao and said, "Grandma, this set of jewelry was specially selected for you by Mom. It's expensive and not very suitable as a gift. How about this, I go to the mall and pick out a new gift for Huo Yao to take back to her mother, ok?"
