Chapter 205: Floating but Unaware

Fang Shan knew nothing about what happened afterwards.

When I regained consciousness, the strong smell of disinfectant filled the air. I struggled to open my eyelids, and a face suddenly loomed close.

"Thank God." Rong Yue quickly pressed the bedside call bell. "If you don't wake up, I'm going to think about transferring you to the intensive care unit."

The second half of the sentence is more of a joke.

Someone pushed the door open, and unexpectedly the bell rang not for a nurse but a doctor.

Rong Yue spread his hands and explained, "This is a VIP ward. You must pay for my medical expenses after you leave."

Fang Shan let the doctor examine his pupils and asked, "Where is the friend who came in with me?"

The doctor confirmed he was fine and said, "His condition is more serious than yours. He'll need to stay in the hospital for another day."

A trace of grievance flashed across Fang Shan's eyes. Doesn't this indirectly prove that his singing is even worse than the host's?

Rong Yue still can't understand why he fell into a coma: "The examination results were all good. In the end, it could only be attributed to heatstroke."

Fang Shan licked his dry lips. Rong Yue poured him a glass of water, which Fang Shan drank in one gulp. He then asked, "To be honest, what do you think of my singing?"

Putting aside the pain the singing had brought him, Rong Yue spoke matter-of-factly: "It's unique."

Fang Shan frowned: "Don't you think it's unpleasant?"

Rong Yue was stunned for a moment, then couldn't help but laugh. "When we listen to music, we focus on the essence of it. We must learn to discard superficial intonations. This is the most basic skill." Finally, he added, "It's obvious you didn't learn music well in elementary school."

“…”

Wei Sushen didn't wake up until the next day. He had occasionally thought about whether he would die in a mission world, but among the millions of ways to die, he had never considered being sent to death because of each other's unpleasant singing.

Fang Shan had already bought breakfast and was standing beside him, looking quite virtuous. She cooled the porridge and brought it to his lips: "Have a sip first to replenish your energy."

Wei Sushen was not fooled by the gentle appearance, and said the key part in one sentence: "You woke up before me."

Fang Shan put down the bowl: "It's because the host's body is too weak, it has nothing to do with my singing."

How could Wei Sushen believe his lies? "When can I be discharged from the hospital?"

Fang Shan: "Observe for another day."

Wei Sushen didn't like the smell of disinfectant, so he checked out that afternoon. Rong Yue had already arranged for a car to be waiting at the door, and it took them directly back to the theater.

Besides the band members, there was another man with semi-long hair in the theater. Fang Shan had seen him on the advertising screen when he first came here... Hua Xi, the most popular musician at the moment.

The other party's gaze lingered on Fang Shan and Wei Sushen for only a moment before he said, "I refuse."

Rong Yue frowned: "We agreed before..."

Hua Xi interrupted him and pointed at Fang Shan, saying, "I don't like his appearance. He's too weird."

He left behind an unnecessary excuse and walked straight past Fang Shan.

Hua Xi has been doing very well since his debut. He has the capital both in terms of family background and talent. So even though Rong Yue is dissatisfied, he cannot openly break up with him.

The guitarist yawned and said, "Even more willful than me." He then looked at Rong Yue and asked, "What should we do next?"

Rong Yue: "I'll check the artists who are having concerts soon."

A light laugh interrupted: "No one should be better than Huaxi."

Rong Yue nodded: "Of course."

Whether in terms of topic or popularity, Huaxi far surpasses the current traffic stars, and his strength is obvious to all.

Fang Shan: "Where does Huaxi live?"

Rong Yue shook his head directly: "Given his personality, even if he comes to ask for help, he will only be humiliated."

The guitar player nodded and added, "That guy's temperament has always been volatile."

Fang Shan: "I admire it, it's genuine." He turned to look at Wei Sushen: "You like it too, right?"

Wei Sushen stared at him for a while, not knowing what he was thinking, and nodded slowly.

The band leader whispered to Rong Yue, "Did you have a brain CT scan when you were discharged from the hospital?"

If Rong Yue hadn't had contact with them before, he would have thought that these two people were mentally ill. After hesitating for a moment, he finally told them Hua Xi's address: "How do you want to convince him?"

Fang Shan looked confused: "I said I like him very much. If you like someone, you have to confess your love. And the way to confess your love is..."

He paused and looked at Wei Sushen expectantly. The latter did not disappoint him and said without emotion: "Sing for him downstairs."

Fang Shan agreed: "Sing until it moves heaven, earth and him."

The theater was already quite cool, and everyone shuddered at the sound of these words.

Rong Yue still had a conscience: "Using supernatural powers to force someone, isn't that a bad idea?"

Fang Shan glanced at him and smiled heartily.

The moment their eyes met, Rong Yue made the sign of the cross on his chest and changed his tone: "May the Mermaid King bless him."

Fang Shan was very satisfied with his decision, and his smile faded slightly. "Please, Mr. Rong, take us there."

Taxis are too expensive and I can’t afford them for now.

"Wait for me." The guitar man raised his hand: "I'm going too."

The band leader followed silently at the end.

Originally it was just two people plus a driver, but it eventually developed into a huge team.

Huaxi lives in the Eden Community. It is called a community, but in fact it is just a building standing alone in the suburbs.

There were thirty floors in total, each housing some notable figures. Fang Shan grabbed a speaker and, with foresight, plugged his earplugs. The others did the same, some even adding earmuffs.

Fang Shan cleared his throat, got out of the car, and shouted to the sky, "Resident of No. 502, I'm calling you!"

Hua Xi was composing music in the room. When she heard the noise from the speaker, she stood on the balcony with a grim expression on her face. Without thinking, she was ready to call someone to solve the problem.

Downstairs, Fang Shan said to the guitarist in the car, "Please play the accompaniment."

The guitar man actually didn't want to get too close, as earplugs were limited in effectiveness after all. Unable to resist Fang Shan's enthusiastic smile, he reluctantly got out of the car holding his guitar.

As the guitarist plucked the strings twice, Fang Shan immediately got into the mood. This time he changed his style from duet to chorus.

The guitar player was the closest and almost lost control. Blood from his nose dripped onto the strings. He held the guitar close to his body, as if this could relieve the discomfort in his kidneys.

Hua Xi, who was standing on the balcony, slipped and her cell phone fell to the ground. Waves of sound came one after another, leaving no time for others to react.

The fire at the city gate affected everyone in the pond, and the big guys who lived on the same floor as him were caught in the disaster. Everyone at home had a flushed face and didn't even have the strength to get up and check the situation.

Rong Yue had walked up behind him at some point and asked with some concern, "Will this offend a lot of people?"

Fang Shan paused and replied, "So we need to transfer the risk."

Before Rong Yue could even begin to process the deeper meaning of this sentence, Fang Shan shouted through the loudspeaker, "Hua Xi, the one who forsook me in the end, this song 'Flame of Love' is dedicated to you!"

After saying that, he started singing again.

Those who lived on the upper floors were relatively lucky, but those on the first and second floors were in dire straits. They couldn't figure out the origins of the singer outside, and took their anger out on Hua Xi... If this bastard hadn't been having affairs outside, why would they have been implicated for no reason?

During the intermission, Fang Shan called out, "Huaxi, why don't you come down?"

Then continue singing loudly.

Hua Xi's face was pale. He wanted to rush down with a kitchen knife, but he didn't have enough strength. Another 40 minutes passed, and the residents living on the 12th floor and above, who had been less disturbed, broke in roughly and tied Hua Xi up.

"You owe your own romantic debts, you have to pay them yourself," the leader said coldly, carrying the man down the elevator and out the door. The boss looked arrogantly at Fang Shan, who had stopped singing, and pointed at Hua Xi, who was tied up like a dumpling on the ground: "Take him and get out!"

Fang Shan believed he respected personal wishes very much, so he squatted in front of Hua Xi and asked, "Do you want to come with me?"

Huaxi really wanted to slap him back, but unfortunately she was tied up.

Fang Shan waved his finger in front of him: "Opportunities always come to those who are prepared."

Hua Xi took a deep breath and laughed out of anger: "It's just a concert. Okay, I'll go to rehearsal with you."

After getting in the car, the knots on Hua Xi's body were finally untied. Still on the verge of rage, she suppressed the urge to attack directly and asked, "What kind of supernatural power is this?"

Fang Shan: "Purification and paradise."

Hua Xi glanced at the silent man sitting aside looking out the window, then looked at Fang Shan with a sly smile. It was clear at a glance who was purification and who was paradise.

After trying it herself, Hua Xi kept massaging her solar plexus with both hands. After her headache was relieved, she raised her eyes and accidentally met Fang Shan's eyes.

"Many people around me have done similar actions." Fang Shan rubbed his eyebrows like Wei Sushen usually did.

Hua Xi suddenly felt a sense of sympathy with the strangers he was talking about. After a while, he managed to calm down and return to the main business: "With your strength, becoming famous is a matter of time. I don't mind being a stepping stone for you."

This "not minding" is entirely the product of compromise under violence.

Fang Shan suddenly asked about his special abilities.

"Bewitched."

Fang Shan looked at him with tinted glasses; this ability also sounded not very serious.

Hua Xi didn't deny it, but said, "I used to think this kind of talent carried some rogue elements, but I didn't expect there would be someone better than you."

It's the truth, but it's inevitably a bit sarcastic.

Hua Xi actively skipped the topic and looked at Rong Yue who was sitting in the passenger seat: "After helping them gain popularity, should we start preparing an album?"

Rong Yue nodded.

"Send the Buddha to the west," Hua Xi hummed softly, "The promotion for this concert can be City of Desire."

Rong Yue immediately smiled and thanked him. Fang Shan also thought it was a good idea and touched Wei Sushen, who stood straight, and asked, "What do you think?"

Wei Sushen: "Not enough connotation."

Hua Xi's face darkened: "Could it be that you have a better idea?"

Wei Sushen nodded slightly: "The best theme is to be strong without desire."

Hua Xi's face changed, and she subconsciously imagined the promotional slogan. Fans were curious and excited to watch a concert called "No Desire, No Strength", and then -

up up down down.

Will he be beaten to death on the spot by angry fans?
