Chapter 16 I’ll Give You a Pot of Lush Green Succulents
Guo Lei's face was gloomy, just like a moldy mushroom.
"When I ask Dr. Ruan a question, he's being evasive. It seems like there's something fishy going on. Could this man be your boyfriend, Dr. Ruan? Are you related to him?"
Ruan Nuan thought to herself that this person was such an idiot, "No."
Guo Lei acted as if he had known this was going to happen. Ruan Nuan smiled and said, "If I were related to someone like that, then Dr. Guo shouldn't have asked that question. It would be so boring and tedious."
Guo Lei's smile froze.
Ruan Nuan felt happy when she saw this evil guy get humiliated.
Even the fatigue from the long surgery was swept away.
After Mr. Bo regained consciousness, Ruan Nuan handed the task to Guo Lei. After all, didn't he like to stay in front of Mr. Bo and take credit?
Unexpectedly, as soon as she came out of the locker room, the dean came over and took her hand with a smile, "Nuannuan, you did a great job."
Of course, apart from her, who in the entire hospital is willing to take responsibility?
Ruan Nuan exchanged a few pleasantries with the dean, then added, "Mr. Bo is old and needs extra care. Even after the surgery, we can't let our guard down."
The dean nodded and said, "You are very considerate. Xiao Guo has a proud temper, so you need to be more tolerant of him."
Ruan Nuan thought secretly in her heart that it was not her who needed to take responsibility, but the hospital. If this kind of person was not kept under watch, it would sooner or later cause a disaster.
Ruan Nuan paused and said, "Of course, but I don't have to cover for the trouble Dr. Guo has caused, right?"
The dean was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, "Our responsibilities are all divided among individuals. There will be no joint responsibility. Whoever made the mistake will be held responsible."
Ruan Nuan: "I feel relieved with the dean's words."
The operation was not tiring, but it took too long, so she planned to go back to the office to rest. She walked quickly and opened the office door, only to see someone leaning against her desk. He was tall and slender, with a defiant look.
"Why are you here?"
It was a dark and gloomy night.
Ruan Nuan frowned tightly. She hated people coming uninvited.
"Shouldn't you be staying with Mr. Bo?"
Bo Junye: "I came to thank Dr. Ruan and give him a small gift."
Ruan Nuan's attention shifted from him to the lush green succulents he had given her, which made her smile. "That's it?"
Bo Junye narrowed his eyes, not smiling, "Yes."
Ruan Nuan looked around, seeing the hidden meaning in Bo Junye's words, "Are you mocking me? Someone has cheated on me?"
Bo Junye: "Everyone has their own understanding."
Ruan Nuan gritted her teeth and said, "Okay, I accept Mr. Bo's kindness. You can go now."
Bo Junye didn't stay long. He gave Ruan Nuan a meaningful look and said, "If there's any problem with my grandfather's health, I'll have to trouble Doctor Ruan again."
Ruan Nuan's defenses were instantly broken. "As long as it's not a problem with anesthesia, Mr. Bo can just go see the attending physician."
Bo Junye chuckled: "Of course, I wouldn't mix up the facts."
After he left, Ruan Nuan stroked the leaves of the succulent and planned to throw it into the trash can.
But Bo Junye is ruthless, while succulents are affectionate. Why should he vent his anger on innocent plants?
Ruan Nuan: "Let's take it home and let the big tree in the greenhouse take care of it together."
She casually placed the succulents in an inconspicuous corner of the table, but it was seen by Xu Ling who had just finished surgery.
"I heard that Dr. Ruan's operation was a complete success. Congratulations." Xu Ling tried her best to move her facial features and make her smile full of sincere congratulations.
But Ruan Nuan knew it was all insincere, a result of her upbringing. She nodded and said, "Thank you. I heard that Dr. Xu's surgery success rate is as high as 99%. You are an expert."
Xu Ling portrays herself as a low-key person, and she certainly doesn't brag about herself. She simply said, "The remaining 1% isn't entirely my fault. I'm sure Dr. Ruan will encounter similar problems in his daily work, right?"
