Chapter 105 A Great Gift for Zhou Xiang

Chu Feng and the others nodded, and each opened the box, took out a grenade, and placed it beside them.

As night fell as dark as ink, Hou Jing stood at the foot of the mountain, facing an army of 50,000, his heart filled with conflict and unease.

In his view, Zhou Xiang's self-proclaimed emperorship was a mistake. The world was already at peace, but Zhou Xiang insisted on starting another war.

But Zhou Xiang's orders were as heavy as mountains, making it hard for him to breathe, and he had no choice but to obey.

"All troops, listen to my command, advance!" Zhou Xiang's voice boomed like thunder, echoing throughout the mountains.

Upon hearing the commotion, Hou Jing led an army of 50,000 into the mountain path of Cuiming Mountain.

Having reached the halfway point of the mountain, Hou Jing encountered no resistance or ambush, and began to feel uneasy.

Just then, a gunshot shattered the silence of the night, and the bullet whistled through the air, hitting a centurion standing next to Hou Jing.

Hou Jing's pupils contracted sharply. He reacted quickly, shouting, "There's someone in the woods! Let's go check it out!"

The soldiers entered the woods, and suddenly the gunfire intensified. Upon hearing this, Hou Jing hurriedly sent more men in to investigate.

After the new group of people went in, shouts of killing came from the woods, but the gunfire stopped abruptly.

Hou Jing frowned, unable to figure out what tricks the other party was playing.

Just then, a violent explosion suddenly came from the woods. The explosion grew closer and closer, and Hou Jing's expression changed drastically. He was just about to order his troops to be careful when an explosion suddenly occurred on the ground not far in front of him.

In an instant, smoke and dust rose everywhere, and explosions rang out one after another. The soldiers around Hou Jing were blown to pieces.

"Scatter! Scatter quickly!"

Hou Jing's voice sounded insignificant amidst the explosions. Soldiers scattered in all directions, but the explosions were like the scythe of death, mercilessly reaping lives.

On the mountain, Chu Feng listened to the huge explosion coming from below and felt a sense of doubt.

"What's going on? Commander, are you behind this?"

Chen Zhennan clicked his tongue and frowned, saying, "How dare you talk like that? What do you mean by 'tricking'? This is a big gift I gave to Zhou Xiang."
