The young master was hungry, cold, and exhausted, but he could still see a large group of seven children eating a hot meal not far away.
"I don't care what methods you use, I want to eat duck and chicken," he ordered his servants in a low voice, gritting his teeth.
The steward and several servants were also suffering in silence as they were being scolded. They were even hungrier than the young master. At least the young master had tea and snacks to eat at noon, while they, as servants, had only drunk some water from the roadside stream.
At least their master was still in the carriage, while the rest of them had been walking alongside it the whole time.
In truth, they were hungrier and more tired than their masters, but they were servants.
While their master was staring at the chickens and ducks on the donkey cart with one adult and seven children, they were doing the same. And just now, when they saw children taking things from the donkey cart, they had also seen that there was other food inside.
Even if their master hadn't ordered them to bring the chickens and ducks, they would still have to get to work after the three adults and seven children had rested.
Who cares what kind of chicken or duck it is? Just grab it in your hand, twist its head, do some simple cleaning, roast it over a fire, and eat it all up.
Even if that young lady and her men discover the chickens and ducks are missing by tomorrow morning, what can they do? They can't exactly cut open their bellies to check!

The servants were imagining the scene of eating roast chicken and duck later, since the young master couldn't possibly eat it all by himself, when they suddenly heard the young master say with a wicked smile: "No matter what method you use tonight, bring that little maid to me. If you can't even do this, my manor will not let you eat for free."
I'll let her be arrogant. After I've slept with her, she'll be the one crying and begging me to give her a proper status...
