After saying that, Hong Xiaoduo sat down and continued to enjoy her tea. This tea had a fruity aroma when you tasted it carefully, and it was indeed quite delicious.
She decided that in her spare time, she would try all the different teas that Old Man Luo had prepared for her in the space and find the ones she liked.
In ancient times, there was no pollution, the sky was blue, the water was clear, and the air was naturally very good.
Along the way, she often saw beautiful places nestled against mountains and beside water. Whenever she wanted, she could stop, set up a small table, have some dried fruit and tea, and sit there all day, enjoying herself immensely.
Even though they often encountered bandits and highwaymen, after a few times, they no longer found it scary. On the contrary, they found it quite exciting and dealt with them without any hesitation, which made them feel refreshed.
Thinking of this, Hong Xiaoduo suddenly realized that, without realizing it, she had repeatedly had the idea that staying in this dynasty wouldn't be bad.
Is it because I lived a carefree and unrestrained life here? Or is it because there's no reason for me to go back to the modern world? Is there no one I miss, no one I long to see?
However, she didn't think there was anything wrong with this idea. Forget it, let's not think about it for now.
Wei Junpei frowned as he looked at the girl beside him. After giving himself a shock, she actually started leisurely sipping her tea, and judging from her expression, she seemed to have thought of something interesting.
Honestly, Wei Junpei's head is still buzzing. He has gone through a lot of trouble to find his grandson, and he has carefully verified his identity. He is just waiting for the auspicious day to recognize his ancestors and return to the family. After that, the whole family can be reunited and live a normal life without regrets.
As a result, the girl suddenly told him that the grandson he had recognized was fake.
And since he and Zizheng are uncle and nephew, doesn't that mean that after that night, that shameless woman Jiang Yumin became pregnant with his child? And Tong'er is that child's child?
If that were the case, Tong'er would be considered his grandson. However, he would rather his branch of the family die out than have such a bloodline inherited.
Even adopting a child with no blood relation would be more acceptable to him than this.
"You can have some tea here first, I'll make the arrangements. If you're bored, you can wander around the courtyard," Wei Junpei said to Hong Xiaoduo as he stood up.
"You trust me that much?" Hong Xiaoduo asked, looking at the old man with a somber expression.
"Stop trying to flatter yourself. I trust my own eyes and I won't misjudge people." With that, Wei Junpei walked out with his hands behind his back.
Hong Xiaoduo pouted. What's the difference between these words?
Outside the study, Yin Qingyun saw his master come out, but why did his master look so unpleasant?
Weren't you talking to Miss Hong inside? What happened? Also, why did you come out by yourself, sir?
"My lord?" Yin Qingyun asked with some concern.
But the adults ignored him and walked towards the front yard with their hands behind their backs.
"Guard Yin, aren't you going to go and take a look?" Hong Xiaoduo asked as she walked out of the study.
Hearing this, Yin Qingyun turned around: "In the manor, the master doesn't allow us to follow. It's only in this study that someone has to guard it, and I'm on duty today. By the way, Miss Hong, what's wrong with my master?"
What did you do to offend him?
"It's alright, don't worry. He didn't kick me out of the manor, did he? I'm going to wander around for a bit, see you later." After saying that, Hong Xiaoduo strolled away.
Yin Qingyun thought about it and realized it made sense. The study was such an important place, and the adults kept Hong Xiaoniang there even when they were angry, so it probably wasn't directed at her.
I've always regretted not having the chance to spar with this young lady Hong, but I never expected to have another opportunity to meet her. I just don't know if I'll have the chance this time.
Hong Xiaoduo hadn't gone far when she encountered the steward bringing Kaiyang over. Upon seeing Hong Xiaoduo, the steward hurriedly said, "Young Master is now in the care of Young Lady. You two are free to wander around. If you have any orders or needs, just tell the servants."
"Okay, go ahead and get busy." Hong Xiaoduo said, then looked at Kaiyang.
After the steward left, Kaiyang immediately held up the small bamboo basket in his hand: "Look, these are grapes I picked. They're a bit sour, though. Do you want some?"
“Since Kaiyang picked them himself, I’ll eat a few even if they’re sour.” After saying that, he saw a small pavilion not far away and led Kaiyang over to sit down in the pavilion.
The bunch of grapes was a deep purplish-red, looking very tempting, but after picking one and biting into it, my face immediately scrunched up like a meme: "Kaiyang, this isn't just a little sour, it's a different story."
Hong Xiaoduo swallowed the sour grapes with difficulty; she couldn't bring herself to eat a few, as she had promised.
Kaiyang covered his mouth, his little shoulders shaking with laughter.
"You did this on purpose? Well, you've got some nerve, daring to make fun of me." Hong Xiaoduo said, then got up to grab the person.
Kaiyang realized something was wrong and got up to run away.
The two, one big and one small, chased each other in the yard. Several times they were about to catch each other, but they were just a little bit short each time.
Kaiyang laughed as he ran. Of course he knew how fast the person behind him was when he ran. Catching his master was just a small appetizer. How could he possibly not catch him?
But if she wants to play, then let her play. Mother is no longer just for little sister Yaoguang.
A servant boy who was doing odd jobs nearby, who looked to be about the same age as Tian Shu, couldn't help but stop and watch the scene unfold with a smile.
Just then, a group of men carrying knives and swords hurried over from not far away, shouting as they walked, "Where are they? Where are they? They seem to be over here."
Hong Xiaoduo seized the opportunity to grab Kaiyang, who had stopped upon hearing the noise. The two turned around and saw a group of people rushing towards them menacingly.
"Gentlemen, these are guests brought back by the young mistress, and the master knows them too," the servant suddenly said, his voice trembling as he blocked the group's path.
