At the same time, she also saw another robber wielding a large knife and heading towards Tian Shu.
In a moment of panic, he turned to the side, dodging the fist, and at the same time, pulled out a pebble with his left hand and threw it.
His punch missed, and he heard his henchman Qu Ba's screams again. The bandit leader lost his mind in rage: "Damn woman, I'll make you die!"
While cursing, he attacked again. Hong Xiaoduo was distracted because she was worried about Tian Shu and the other children on the donkey cart. She saw the other party make a move out of the corner of her eye, raised her sword hand and blocked it.
Upon hearing the screams beside her and turning around to see what was happening, Hong Xiaoduo was so shocked that she almost screamed herself.
The robber in front of them was clutching his severed arm with one hand, his exposed eyes filled with terror, and he staggered backward.
Hong Xiaoduo instinctively covered her mouth, staring blankly at the blood that couldn't be contained from the robber's severed arm, which was spurting onto the ground.
Where's his arm? What happened? It's gone, broken?
Suddenly, as if she had thought of something, she raised her right hand to look at the sword, but there was no blood on it.
She looked again at the six people not far away, but saw that they showed no sign of moving forward and remained in the same place.
The robber's arm was severed so cleanly; it doesn't seem like it was caused by a hidden weapon from a distance!
Could it be herself? Hong Xiaoduo tried hard to recall, but it seemed like she had only raised her hand to block it. Was the sword really that sharp?
After realizing that she had broken the robber's arm, Hong Xiaoduo panicked. When she looked down, she saw the severed arm right next to her feet and quickly backed away in fright.
When I looked up again, I saw the one-armed robber stumbling and running into the woods. Looking towards the donkey cart, I saw the other two robbers crawling with great difficulty on the ground toward the other side of the woods.
Are they trying to escape? What should we do? Chase after them and stop them? And if we do stop them, will we arrest them and hand them over to the authorities?
"Mom, you're amazing!" Tian Shu hurried over, leading the donkey cart, looking at Hong Xiaoduo with excitement and admiration.
"Mom, you're so amazing! You chased all the bad guys away!" The children in the carriage were also crowding around the window, looking at her excitedly.
Yes, she chased away the robbers, and she and the children were all safe and sound. Logically, she should be happy, but Hong Xiaoduo just couldn't be happy at all.
Even though I try to reassure myself that the other party is just a highway robber and that I shouldn't feel any psychological pressure or burden for hurting them, I just can't relax.
"Mother, what's wrong? Are you injured?" Tian Shu sensed that her reaction was not right and asked anxiously.
Upon hearing this, the other children on the bus rushed off and surrounded Hong Xiaoduo, looking her over here and there.
The six people not far away, watching what was happening in front of them, all felt somewhat incredulous.
"Master, shall we go and take a look?" one of the attendants couldn't help but ask tentatively.
But the master seemed not to hear him, offering no response and not even glancing at him.
The other companions were all subtly giving him meaningful glances, signaling him to go over. Why ask the master? Just look at his face and you'll know what he's feeling.
Hmph, you think you can be so high and mighty, waiting for that young lady to ask for your help?
As it turned out, there was no need to ask anyone for help; they took care of the three robbers themselves.
Although her moves looked awkward and casual, they were powerful.
So what if that bandit leader was good with a knife? He was still defeated by that young woman in just two moves. She sent his knife flying with one move, and then sliced off his arm with the second.
Encouraged by his companion, the attendant gritted his teeth, spurred his horse, and rode off in that direction. This young lady truly lived up to the saying, "You can't judge a book by its cover!"
Even if he gets scolded by his master later, he'll still come over to say hello, hoping to find out something about her background from their conversation.
Hearing the sound of horses' hooves, the adults and the seven children all turned to look.
What are those people who were just standing there watching in that urgent situation doing here now?
Upon approaching, the man dismounted and clasped his hands in a fist salute to Hong Xiaoduo, saying, "Young lady, you are truly remarkable. We admire you greatly."
Hong Xiaoduo was in a bad mood and had no intention of greeting the other person, so she just stared at them expressionlessly.
The man, feeling uneasy about what had just happened, awkwardly turned his neck and asked, "The three robbers escaped. I was wondering if you, young lady, just let them get away?"
Hearing him say that, Hong Xiaoduo frowned. Yes, were they just going to let them escape like that?
This kind of person won't change their ways and start anew. They might seek revenge, or they might recover from their injuries and continue their highway robbery.
Furthermore, this is probably not the first time they've done something like this; who knows how many people have been victimized before?
Thinking of this, Hong Xiaoduo glanced at the narcissistic guy riding a horse not far away, then looked back at the person in front of her, cupped her fists and said, "Those three have done this kind of thing countless times before. If we let them go, they will probably continue to harm pedestrians."
I would like to arrest them and hand them over to the authorities, but, as you can see, it's not very convenient for me to be with these children.
"Would it be possible to trouble you, brave man, to capture those three villains and hand them over to the authorities so they can receive the punishment they deserve?"
Hong Xiaoduo pointed to the children beside her and asked them with great difficulty.
"Is that so? It's no big deal, young lady. Don't worry." The man agreed without hesitation.
Then, he turned to his companions not far away and called out, "Come and lend a hand, catch those three bastards."
