Chapter 6 Critical Moment

How can this sword be drawn in a way that exudes the aura of a female knight-errant? She should at least have a bit of that knight-errant vibe!

Fu Gang, enraged, brandished his sword and rode closer and closer to Hong Xiaoduo. Hong Xiaoduo, seeing the sword about to strike, silently told herself to stay calm and not panic, and also began to draw her sword.

She wasn't sure if drawing her sword would be effective, but she couldn't just stand there and wait to die, could she? Trying to put up a fight was necessary.

Just then, she heard a slight noise. Before she could figure out what it was, Fu Gang screamed and dropped the knife in his hand.

Fu Gang, having lost his knife, immediately reined in his horse, which neighed and stopped.

Hong Xiaoduo's sword was still half in its sheath. She looked at Fan Wu, who had caught up with her, with great confusion. "Did you intervene to help me because you couldn't stand by and watch?"

Fu Gang glared fiercely at Fan Wu, his eyes practically spitting fire.

Fan Wu quickly shook his head at the two of them, indicating that it wasn't him and that they shouldn't misunderstand!

Just then, a very displeased voice came from the carriage: "You good-for-nothing, what a mess you are! Get back here!"

Upon hearing the voice, Fu Gang's expression immediately changed, and he realized who had plotted against him. His anger was instantly replaced by panic.

Fan Wu raised an eyebrow at Hong Xiaoduo, as if to say, "See? There's someone else here!"

"Yes, Master." Fu Gang quickly responded loudly, dismounted, picked up the knife that had fallen to the ground, remounted, turned around and left. Before turning his head, he glared at Hong Xiaoduo with great resentment.

Fan Wu looked at Xiao Duo's waist, then turned his horse around and headed towards the carriage.

Feeling like she had narrowly escaped disaster, Hong Xiaoduo breathed a sigh of relief as she sheathed the sword she had only half-drawn. "Damn it, it's only been two days, and each time it's been more exciting than the last!"

"Mom, you scared us to death!" The children rushed over, their eyes brimming with tears.

Hong Xiaoduo was unsure how to comfort the children who were worried. She was also unsure of her own strength and dared not boast that she was a martial arts master.

You can't just say something vague like "It's okay, it's okay, don't worry."

Sitting back on the rock, a mountain breeze blew by, and Hong Xiaoduo felt a chill all over her body. Only then did she realize that she had been so nervous just now that she had broken out in a cold sweat!

She didn't tell the children to pack up and leave quickly, as this matter wasn't over yet.

I just noticed that the person who just dismounted and picked up the knife used his left hand; his right hand was hanging down so I couldn't see what was wrong with him. But since he couldn't even pick up the knife, it must have been quite serious.

The master of these two is quite ruthless!

As the two guards rode back to the carriage, Fu Gang dismounted and knelt beside the carriage. Fan Wu then rode his horse toward her.

Despite their young age, the seven children were quite perceptive. Although they didn't know why Fan Wu was coming on horseback, they weren't as flustered as before.

Fan Wu approached from the front and back, but instead of dismounting, he looked at Hong Xiaoduo.

He was waiting for Hong Xiaoduo to speak, but after a while he realized that she had no intention of asking at all.

"Aren't you, this incredibly audacious young lady, curious about what I've come here for?" Fan Wu had no choice but to ask...
