It was late at night, but the lights were still on in Prince Yi's bedroom. The room was very quiet, and neither the mother nor the child on the bed were sleepy at all.

The princess's eyes also reddened. She gently wiped away her daughter's tears and said, "Don't cry. If you cry again, I might change my mind and not let you leave."

The princess didn't try to persuade her daughter any further. She simply pulled her daughter into her arms, gently stroking her back, without giving any specific instructions about being careful while out or about coming back to visit often.
Yuheng, nestled in her mother's arms, gradually calmed down and didn't promise her that she would come back often.
When Hong Xiaoduo and the others saw Yuheng after daybreak, they noticed that her eyes were swollen and assumed that she was crying because she was reluctant to part ways.

Seeing that their daughter didn't bring up the idea of going together, the princess and her husband tacitly kept quiet about it.
It wasn't until after breakfast, when they had packed their things and left the palace, that they saw the princess hand Yuheng a package, and the prince whispering instructions to her. Only then did Hong Xiaoduo and the others realize that something was wrong, and that the prince and princess had agreed to let Yuheng continue to follow them.

Quan Jinghuai did not ride in a carriage, but on horseback.
