Shi Mengqi looked at Wang Hao in disbelief and asked in shock, "How can your strength be so great? It's actually comparable to a martial artist in the middle stage of the Yellow Realm."
Wang Hao chuckled, finally gaining an understanding of his own strength. But the next second, he was surprised to find that the spiritual energy he had consumed could not be replenished in a short time.
"Doesn't this mean that if I exhaust all my spiritual energy, I will only be a Yellow Realm martial artist who has opened four meridians for a short period of time?"
Seeing that Wang Hao ignored her, Shi Mengqi pouted, feeling a little angry, and said, "You won't talk, huh? Fine, then you can be my sparring partner!"
After speaking, Shi Mengqi twisted her body, like a willow leaf, dancing in the wind at great speed. This was a movement technique called "Willow Leaf Step," which resembled a willow leaf and moved with the wind.
A gust of wind from a punch jolted Wang Hao awake. He was about to explain, but it was too late. Helpless, he could only raise his hand to block, while simultaneously striking forward with his left hand.
Shi Mengqi's eyes narrowed, and she dodged to the right while simultaneously thrusting her left knee forward.
"This little girl reacts pretty quickly." Wang Hao smiled slightly, swiftly retracted his left palm, and then struck downwards to block the incoming knee strike.
"Bang!"
A muffled thud, like a rumble of thunder in thick dark clouds, echoed continuously in the courtyard in front of the villa.
The two were making quite a racket, attracting many students who hadn't left yet to come and watch. The grass beneath their feet was riddled with holes and turned into mud by the dew.
"This is Wang Hao fighting Shi Mengqi. I heard that Shi Mengqi had been practicing martial arts since she was a child when I was in school, but I had never seen her fight. Now that she is about to go on a long journey, I have finally seen her strength."
"Yes, it seems that Shi Mengqi has reached the peak of the early stage of the Yellow Realm, and Wang Hao was able to fight her to a draw. That is the most surprising thing."
"I used to think he was just a bookworm, someone who never talked back or argued in class. I never imagined he was such a cunning wolf in sheep's clothing."
......
A group of classmates chattered incessantly, while Xia Xiaoyi stood on the second-floor terrace, watching the two combatants, a glint of shrewdness flashing in her eyes.
"Little Hao, be careful, I'm about to use my martial arts. If you can withstand it, I'll grant you one request, anything at all."
Shi Mengqi's lips curved into a beautiful smile, and then she circulated her inner energy, converging it towards her right palm, which for a moment emitted a faint white light.
"Heavenly Heart Palm!"
Seeing the incoming palm strike, Wang Hao dared not be careless. He immediately circulated the little spiritual power he had left and gathered it in his right fist.
"boom!"
With a loud bang, fists and palms collided, and a visible aura spread outwards. The muddy ground below first sank, and then countless cracks swept outwards in all directions.
All the students watching widened their eyes, eager to see who would win: one who had been called a pampered princess since childhood, and the other who was a wolf in sheep's clothing.
They were all very curious about who was stronger between the two.
After a while, Shi Mengqi's legs went weak, and her body fell uncontrollably downwards. Wang Hao reacted quickly and caught her. Clearly, Wang Hao was the stronger one.
"So soft..." Wang Hao's right hand subconsciously squeezed it, then suddenly felt something was wrong. Looking at Shi Mengqi, whose face was flushed, in his arms, he knew exactly what he had touched.
"Ahem, the weather there is quite mild... no, look at those clouds, they're huge, ahem..."
Shi Mengqi had recovered by this time, her pretty face flushed red. She quickly broke free from Wang Hao's embrace and looked at the classmates who were cheering in the distance. Her face turned even redder, like a ripe apple.
"You pervert!" Shi Mengqi glared at Wang Hao, then shyly ran into the villa and returned to her room. First, she did her morning exercise, then she sparred. Her clothes were already soaked with sweat.
Wang Hao looked at his right hand with a hint of reminiscence and muttered, "This little girl is quite something."
"I didn't realize you were such a lecher. Treat Mengqi well. The expedition team will be on a mission next week, which could be an opportunity for you. Think it over carefully."
Xia Xiaoyi tightened her brown trench coat, patted Wang Hao on the shoulder, then took out a pair of sunglasses from her pocket, put them on, and strutted into her Porsche.
With a whoosh, it disappeared into the morning light.
That afternoon, everyone said their reluctant goodbyes. Amidst soft sobs, Wang Hao rode Shi Mengqi's white Beetle back to his home.
Shi Mengqi seemed to still be sulking about what happened that morning. After dropping Wang Hao off at his doorstep, she drove away without saying a word.
"Looks like I'll have to spend money again. I'll buy her some gifts." Wang Hao shook his head and smiled wryly, then returned to his room and began to focus on recovering his depleted spiritual energy.
However, by the next morning, Wang Hao was shocked to discover that his spiritual energy had only recovered to less than one-tenth, making cultivation impossible.
"Looks like I really do have to go to that so-called explorer organization." Wang Hao muttered to himself, then ate a couple of bites of rice, said goodbye to his parents, and hurriedly left.
Half an hour later, Wang Hao left his residential area and walked alone on the sidewalk. There were many ancient ginkgo trees on both sides of the road, with golden fallen leaves covering the ground.
As he walked, he searched for the address on the business card. Wang Hao wandered around until he came to a small alley. He walked along the alley until he arrived at a building and went straight inside.
Although the building was very tall, there weren't many people coming and going, and it was rather deserted. As soon as he approached the elevator, someone stopped him.
Wang Hao didn't say anything, and handed over the pure gold business card that Xia Xiaoyi had given him.
The pupils of the people in front of the elevator contracted slightly. One of them silently made a gesture of invitation and pressed the elevator button for him.
Wang Hao nodded and stepped inside, with someone following him.
The two descended with the elevator.
Finally, the elevator stopped on the eighteenth underground floor, an unusual number that seemed somewhat unlucky.
After stepping out of the elevator, Wang Hao adjusted to the dim space. There was very little lighting here, and the area below didn't look like a modern building; rather, it resembled a cave carved out of the mountainside.
They didn't exchange many words along the way. One person led the way, and Wang Hao followed behind. They traveled through the underground caves, which were winding and twisting, until they finally entered a stone chamber where the light shone brightly.
The layout here is very modern, not unlike a huge, luxurious office, with a man sitting behind a mahogany desk.
"You were introduced by Feng Caiyi. Did she tell you the rules here?" The man, who was wearing a red mask and sounded like he was in his forties, asked.
Wang Hao knew that the person who mentioned Feng Caiyi must be Xia Xiaoyi. Presumably, everyone here had a code name instead of their real name.
"She didn't say anything, she just told me that this is the only place of hope for the old methods and abandoned techniques," Wang Hao said calmly and unhurriedly.
