Hengjin Liwan

Hengjin Liwan

Li Wan moved closer as he moved away, trying to kiss him again.

Fortunately, there was a certain height difference between them, and Heng Jin stood up straight again. In order to avoid being kissed by her who was standing on tiptoe, he even raised his head high. Heng Jin was so nervous and flustered that he kept swallowing his saliva, and his Adam's apple moved noticeably.

Li Wan grabbed his arm sleeve tightly to use as leverage to step on his feet, changed her purpose, and kissed his Adam's apple lightly.

The warm and soft lips touched the cold skin of his neck, and a tingling sensation immediately spread all over his body.

He held her shoulders and stretched out his arms to push her into his arms.

"Useless thing, don't you like her very much? Why are you pretending to be so reserved?"

After a pause, the young man pretended to be thoughtful and suddenly realized something, and sneered, "Oh, how could I forget that you people in the heavens are used to pretending to be upright and noble. You enjoy desires, but you also regard desires as shame."

"I never denied my desires."

Heng Jin imitated the boy's tone and said, "Oh, how could I forget? You perverted and evil people who love to play with shit, with brains the size of walnut kernels, are so stubborn that you only know how to rob and plunder with brutal force. You don't understand what it means to treat others with courtesy."

"I rarely talk to you, so I didn't realize you can be quite mean."

The boy's tone was full of appreciation and joy, without any displeasure at all.

"What's the point of working for that old man? Your entire clan fought for their lives and made outstanding contributions. Is it really such a coincidence that the reinforcements waited until your entire clan was wiped out before arriving? Now, there's not a single hair left on the entire Qiwu Mountain. How many people still remember them?"

After provoking him, the young man sincerely invited him: "Why don't you come and follow me, and together we will shake up the world, so that everyone in the world will remember our legend. I can give you everything you want, and you can also give me the only thing I want."

Heng Jin said calmly, "I will not associate with you, the shady little rats, and I will not be provoked by your words. My people and their parents all fought for peace. I know the reason the reinforcements arrived late. There was no conspiracy or frame-up, only a decision to win the battle at all costs. If I were the general back then, I would have made the same choice. You are the only one trapped in the past."

"Yeah, I'm the only one trapped in the past."

The boy's tone could not hide the loneliness and sadness.

His emotions came and went quickly. After a moment of silence, his mocking and contemptuous laughter would start again.

"You're worthy of being raised by him. You're just as ungrateful as ever, forgetting your roots. In your eyes, anyone you cherish can be discarded after weighing the pros and cons. Finally, you find excuses for yourself, feeling completely righteous and completely disregarding the grief of the victims. Great! You're so good at weighing the pros and cons! I'll let you weigh the pros and cons to your heart's content!"

As the young man finished his angry words, the black fog gradually thickened, and black particles like sand gathered in front of his eyes. Her figure began to blur in his sight.

"Sacrificed? What grudge does the Heaven have against you? If you were the victim, you would have..."

Before Heng Jin could finish her words, she was interrupted by the young man's excited words.

"Of course it will! The light of justice has never shone on us, the suffering ones! Since we have nowhere to go, we should find a way out ourselves. The heavens have no grudge against me; only he has a grudge against me."

Even though Heng Jin quickly tapped into their acupoints and cast a spell to close their valves, they were still unable to escape the erosion of the black fog.

His limp body gradually couldn't support his control of her body, so he could only use all his strength to clasp her fingers together and hold her tightly, for fear of losing her again.

They both collapsed to the ground, with Heng Jin acting as a human cushion for her to lean on.

Li Wan was still unconscious, just repeating the intimate actions of getting close to him. Fortunately, her body was limp and she couldn't use any strength, so she could only rub against his neck, distracting most of his thoughts.

The only moment of clarity and drowsiness confronted each other, and yet, the young man opened his mouth.

"If he was willing to spend half as much time on you, his adopted son, and treat his biological children and lover as he does, he would never have reached this point."

The boy spoke in a firm and calm tone, as if he was stating a fact.

These words were like a bolt from the blue, completely disrupting his remaining consciousness. However, in just a moment of distraction, the raging black fog completely swallowed up and destroyed his remaining consciousness.

The memory scroll suddenly turned completely black. It was dark for a long time before it faded away, revealing Li Wan standing on the throne of the Imperial Palace, covered in blood.

Her hair was loose, the blood-stained crown fell on the couch at her feet, her hairpins were scattered on the ground, and she held Bingpo in her hand, with blood flowing from her hand and dripping down the sword.

The hall was littered with corpses piled up horizontally and vertically, and Heqi's body was lying on the stairs leading to the throne.

The situation was tense between the ministers and generals who were forcing the emperor to abdicate and the king who was forced into a desperate situation.

Outside the hall, there stood heavenly soldiers and generals.

The leader was Heng Jin.

The divine sword in his hand and the battle robe on his body were stained with the blood of her loyal subjects.

He was in a panic and had no idea why he was standing there, or why he became part of the group that forced her and Heqi to death.

He saw her miserable state at a glance. Although she was covered with wounds and looked like she was doomed, her eyes and demeanor still retained the dignity of a king.

Heng Jin walked into the hall and walked towards her. Li Wan glanced at her with eyes full of disappointment and resentment.

"Heng Jin, are you going to join them in forcing me to death?"

"Wanwan...I didn't..."

Not knowing the whole story, Heng Jin subconsciously denied it. Before she even uttered the word "yes", she noticed the blood on his body.

For a moment, he felt unsure.

The Moon Fairy appeared beside him at some point and whispered, "Jin'er, don't forget what the Heavenly Monarch said to you before you left."

"Father, why... am I here? Why is it that the soul that perished under my sword is her loyal subject? Why... why? Father, tell me, what exactly happened?"

The strange looks from everyone around her further confirmed the truth that Heng Jin had guessed was almost certain.

"Jin'er, I know you like her, but she's a demon, and you're an immortal. Demons and immortals have been at odds with each other for a long time, and it's hard to reconcile. You and she are destined not to be together."

The Moon Fairy paused, his gaze shifting from him to Li Wan, and Heng Jin followed suit, looking up at her.

"Jin'er, no matter how deeply in love you two are, since you've achieved the first victory in annihilating the demon world today, she will never forgive you, let alone be together. Even if she is willing, the Heavenly Monarch will definitely not allow it. Rather than letting her die without a burial place, it is better for you to give her a quick death yourself, which will complete your friendship."

The Moon Fairy lifted up his wrist that was holding the divine sword and forced the tip of his sword to point at her again.

He resisted and wanted to let go, but the magic of the Moon Fairy controlled and imprisoned him completely. He could not speak and could only shed tears of regret.

"I've imagined this situation tens of thousands of times, and in my pessimistic assumptions, I've imagined who would be affected, but I never imagined you would be among them."

She did not shed a single tear, and her eyes slowly scanned the scene in the hall from left to right.

"I only hate myself for... misjudging you."

The Moon Fairy released his hand, but the spell of control and confinement was not broken, only the traces were hidden. In the eyes of everyone present, including Li Wan, at this moment, he was willing to draw his sword.

The sword in her hand suddenly flew out and stabbed towards her with the force of a bamboo breaking bamboo. Li Wan reacted quickly and urged Bing Po to resist, but unexpectedly, the sword broke Bing Po and pierced her.

She fell from the throne and died with her eyes open.

The whole room cheered, but Heng Jin felt heartbroken.

In the blink of an eye, the scene quickly changed again to him lying on the couch in the bedroom. He suddenly woke up, sat up, gasped for breath, felt very anxious, and kept stroking his chest to relieve his breath.

The sweat running down her forehead stung her eyes. Heng Jin raised her sleeve to wipe the sweat off her face, only to notice that it was wet all over. She could no longer tell which was sweat and which was tears.

This dream was so real, as if it had really happened.

Fortunately, it was just a dream.

Xiang Yao knocked on the door outside the hall. The knocking scared Heng Jin so much that she jumped back. Every knock was like a death warrant, making her panic and afraid.

He rarely knocks on the door to disturb people, but if he is urgent enough to knock on the door, it is always a very important battle.

Heng Jin immediately donned his battle robe, packed up, and followed Xiang Yao. Tens of thousands of heavenly soldiers and generals were already waiting outside the South Heavenly Gate, ready to go.

On the way, Xiang Yao did not report the situation of the battle to him, which means that this was not a sudden battle and he should know it very well.

But he couldn't remember a single thing.

Just like in a dream, a lot of memories are missing.

The bad premonition kept growing in my heart, and I was even so scared that I started to back down.

On the way, he quickly realized that this was the direction to the Demon Realm. Bringing so many heavenly soldiers and generals to the Demon Realm could only have one purpose.

Staying in the clouds above the Demon Realm, tens of thousands of heavenly soldiers and generals were arranged in an orderly manner, standing in the clouds, looking down at the demon creatures killing each other below them. Coupled with the rolling dark clouds that made the sky dark and gloomy as the background, it seemed very oppressive.

The nightmare that woke me up from was like a prophecy, it happened exactly as it happened.

Heng Jin couldn't confirm that her nightmare had come true, so she didn't dare to act rashly, fearing that this person had come here to help her.

Despite this thought, there is little hope.

"Xiang Yao, why are we here?"

Doubt flashed across Xiang Yao's eyes, and he replied, "Your Majesty, I came here to annihilate the demon world."

Hearing this, Heng Jin was about to fly down from the clouds, but was controlled by the Moon Fairy who suddenly appeared behind him again.

The Moonlight Fairy cast a spell and transmitted a message to him, "Your compassion cannot be shaken. You are fighting for the heavens and for all mankind. You cannot allow your children's personal feelings to run wild."

Unable to speak or resist, he didn't even have the chance to express his emotions with his eyes. He could only watch helplessly as the two factions of demons slaughtered each other until corpses littered the ground. Then, the Moon Immortal took control and led his troops to the lower world.

The moment he landed, he seemed like a controlled puppet, waving the magic sword in his hand and brutally killing one life after another. Facing the loyal ministers who were shouting, he was even more merciless and killed them one by one with his sword.

On the verge of collapse, he rushed to her court hall and once again met her eyes as she stood on the throne, looking down at the ministers who were forcing the emperor to abdicate in rebellion.

The nightmare really happened again...

But he was under control, and faced with her inevitable death, he was still powerless...
